CG-Trader Joe's is my favorite place in the world, I know they have them in Chicago, and Oak Park, I don't know how close you are to either of those though. They have excellent Greek Yogurt called Fage. I do most of my grocery shopping there, it's so much cheaper than the other stores.

Frigid today, so no run again, I'll have to go to spinning, they say tomorrow maybe a little warmer so I'll have to run then.

Michelle I love that your Dad always seems to be in a good mood as he goes through all of this!!!

Have a great night all.

Redsoxgirl I'm 30 minutes from St.Louis and there are some over there. When I go to see the doc we will find the nearest one. I do enjoy shopping there.

Jenny - don't get down. I've never taken a diet pill in my life, I've just lost the weight through hard work and persistence.

12.5 miles with running club tonight. That's more than I ran in a week over Christmas I've got a half next weekend so it was good to get a decent run under my belt before then. I might try another longish run at the weekend to break in the new trainers if I ever get them. I'm now forcing myself to eat chocolate biscuits to replace some of the energy I used up

My boss came in today, and I discovered she reads Eve Actually, she was pretty complimentary about the article, so it looks like I got away with it. And she did get a mention...

for you lou.

I'm feeling blah today. Still going to go to the gym, still going kickboxing, but I'm a bit down in the dumps - don't know why. I think I need sleep. but I don't feel that tired.

Well at least it is over, Lou (and I can uncross my fingers - better to tyope with) tho I 'spose it is not safe to oncross 'em just yet!

Cher up 2 frus! Maybe it's the weather or just the time of year.

I just wish the wind would stop. No fun when you live in a tower block! I thought the windows were coming in! Plus when I trot (ok stumble) out to the loo and back - the wind offers so much resistance when I try to open my door then stops so I end uyp banging it - sorry flatmates!

I agree with 2frus and YP1 about the diet pills. Trust your Doctor. Some of those pills do horrible things to you. Plus as was said before - what happens when you get off them - a bit like a fast fix solution - like those diet shakes- what happens when you eat normally again??

I have just been asked if i would take part in a 'fun run'. Some of my book club did last time. I suppose it means sponsoring. I hate that side and would rather give the money myself! Anyway it is quite a gentle one and you can run or walk as you feel. Maybe.........

Jen, Thanks for that link - I'd not read it before - Meg's post is fabulous and SO motivating!

So why are you feeling blah???????????? It might not be sleep you need - it could be you are doing too much activity for the amount of calories you are taking in and either need to eat a bit more or do less exercise. Or you might need to do a bit of relaxing. If you need a shoulder to cry on I'm always here. BTW, do you take an iron supplement? Every time I buy a multi vit without iron I feel miserable, then I get one with iron and I feel good.

Lou, well done. I've got that it all works out okay for you.

Jenny, like the others, I've not taken diet pills either. I've finally found a good combination in counting calories and chosing only low GI foods. Our local doctors dish diet tabs out like sweeties and so I've known a lot of people take them but I don't know anyone who successfully got down to their goal weight using them.

CG, My back seems a little better today so I'm hoping that I won't need to go - or it could be that the new painkillers I got are stronger than the old ones.... either way its got to be better than the 2 hour wait I had last time I went - and that waiting room was full of people with colds, flu and heaven knows what other contageous diseases - I'm sure I came out of there with more than I went in there with!

Michele - Like RSG says, its great that your Dad seems to be keeping his sense of humour during this difficult time. Big to you all.

Chris - Glad your Mum got home okay - how awful that they managed to lose another one of her bags. Hope your new loo got installed okay - after the fiasco with my new bathroom I'm always a bit worried about things to do with water nowadays.

Helen - I love the new foodie bit of your blog.

Ooohhhhh - nearly forgot - does anyone want a garden shed? We've got an extra 2 or possible 3 which were blown in to our garden overnight - they arrived in kit form! I haven't got a clue who they belong to - certainly nobody in the nearest dozen or so houses.

My walk was interesting this morning - it was so windy that when Fred raised a leg to do the necessary the wind caught him and he ended up being pushed along about 20 feet or so on three legs along while trying to pee. Poor Fred - he's the lightest so he suffers the most. I cut our walk short when it started raining as well - I looked down at the dogs and they were all walking in formation (Ellie up front) hunkered down with their eyes half shut, looking long-suffering.

SaahAnn- Your doggies do keep us amused! Pity it wasn't captured on camera!

Lucky you to have some 'free' sheds! Blimey I knew it was windy but did not realise it was THAT windy! It is hard to tell soemtimes cos living in a tower block it always sems worse than it is.

Jen, you need a night off - just rent a DVD and RELAX!

Peacock, I once stayed with a friend in a tower block - just for a couple of weeks - but I couldn't cope with that slight movement you get in strong winds - and that booming noise was horrendous!!!!! The movement and noise did something to my inner eat/sense of balance and I felt constantly seasick.

Apparently, locally, we've been having gusts of up to 70mph - more last night. Both the nearest junctions of the motorway are closed due to lorries having turned over - and my shopping is on that motorway somewhere between those two junctions! I keep getting phone calls from the driver giving me updates. Nevermind, at least I get my £10 late-voucher!

No doubt we'll get a knock at the door tonight from the sheds' owners they'll need to pack them up in bags to take them away. Just noticed... our polytunnel greenhouse has disappeared... AGAIN - strange because my windchimes are still here.

I've looked in my diary and might be up for that one.

I'm very tired this morning, it took me ages to get to sleep after my run (I just couldn't warm up and can't sleep if I'm shivering), then I got woken up by the wind all through the rest of the night. Gah. I still made it to the gym for weights this morning though. I'm having lunch out with a friend today as a reward for running so far last night. I was just glad the wind hadn't got up by then!
