Good Sunshiny (windy) morning to ya all!

I was up early, went for my 2 mile walk & resting a bit before I jump into a new project today! Got to wash clothes, vacuum & other stuff. I even got behind the push mower late yesterday afternoon but the grass is still too wet from the rain of Wednesday. Have standing water in several low spots. Maybe by later this evening I can get back out there.

Eating is going well. I'm proud of myself for finding my motivation again. Calorie wise I'm still too low, under 1000 cals /day, but I'm eating enough to keep me satisfied & concentrating on the right carbs, high protein foods. We actually had pizza last night & still stayed within my numbers. It has really helped me to count all the carbs, proteins, fats, & calories. Nothing goes in my mouth that I'm not writing down in my journal. What a blessing. Why didn't I do that before? LOL I tried to got to FITDAY but found it to be a paid site now??? Is there a comparable site out there to track foods?

Thunder, WTG on the loss!

SEF, I hear ya, now I have to clean my bedroom!

Rosalie, Good work on the walking!

Monet, hope you get your wheel going soon. Sounds like you're having lots of fun.

BOB, what's for lunch? Chicken?

Tech, my youngest DD's favorite color is purple too. She was born in Feb & she wears that color all the time. I'll bet she would paint her whole house that color if she could. lol

ericsmommy, sounds like you're getting the hang of it girl, keep up the good work.

Solly, where are ya? Toni, where are ya?

Missy!!!

Good morning all,

Cool but sunny. Nice for a change.

Lori's folks got in about midnight. I didn't go down, lt them visit. This morning Kay and I sat out on the deck and chatted while Bitsy did her business and Kay had her cigarettes. Then Lori joined us, Her nephew is so cute. When you're not around babies you sort of forget how small they can be! My two were once that small?

THUNDER: Wonderful! That's a great loss!

MONET: Glad you had a great day yesterday. One thing about flying, you enter the door of the airport and your life is not your own. Over the years I've spent nine hours in Frankfort Germany, eight in Detroit and seven in Minneapolis-St. Paul. In Honolulu we arrived too late to make the Aloha flight so the airline provided us with rooms and transportation. Just have to go with the flow. Hope James makes it home today.

MELF: Sounds like you are back in the groove. And so energetic!!! Know what you mean. We have a cememnt pond in the backyard as well as a swamp hole.

MO: I like baseball too. I'm from PA and always rooted for the Phillies. Louisiana has no pro team but does have triple A team, the Zephyrs. Really don't know who to root for now. When I would visit DD in Maryland we would always got to an Orioles games. Nothing like being in the stadium! No matter how tired I am I can always sit down and crocet a few rows or count a few cross stitches. Haven't done any needlepoint in years. I am a crafty person but cross stitch and crochet are my favs. Hope Eric is better.

I was very proud of myself yesterday. Jeff called and was looking for a songbook and couldn't find it, what would I suggest. I said go online, he said didn't know what to do. So as we talked I went to Amazon, found the two books (he added another when I found the first one) and ordered them. Me a computer illiterate!!!

See y'all later probably.

May good things happen, Shirley

I'm around ladies. I thought with my boss gone, I would have time to post. Not! I have been swamped. I can't seem to get to my "Things To Do List" much less do them. I don't know what to do first there are so many important things to do.

No big plans for the weekend. Will be eatching lots of basketball.

Sorry for no replies, but have to get going here. Have a great weekend

Where have I been? I've let the week pass by without coming on board. Boy what a difference thats made in my eating. I've been doing lousy. Doing a little laundry just now. I never seem to get caught up in that direction. What is everyone doing for St. Pats Day? I'm loving spring is getting closer here. The beautiful Joquils are in bloom here. Lots of birds and bugs too. I do want to make an herb garden this spring. We're signing the papers on a loan next next week and hopefully the contractor will get busy soon on putting a roof and underpinning on our mobile. Its nice to see someone new here. Welcome Eric'smommy.... Thanks for wondering about me Melf. I'm BACK....

Melf - I don't know why you couldn't get into Fitday. I am still using the free version and it still has all my stuff in there from a couple of years ago. If you go to FITDAY you should see a line near the top of the page that says Create Your Free Account or click where it says Free Online Diet Journal a bit further down the page.

I've been without Internet since I got home at lunch time. It just came back a few minutes ago. Don't have time for any replies now. Will try to get back later.

The parts came for my wheel and Tom got it all fixed up! I have not sat down to use it yet, but I did check it out and it seems to be running much smoother with no problems. Yay! I would love to go work, but we have a friend coming for dinner tonight.

James did get a plane out of Boston and landed about two hours ago. He had to find his luggage that was sent yesterday, and just called from the train, and was having trouble getting a train for the correct line so Tom is going to pick him up at a different station. It is not that much farther, and it will give them some time to chat on the way home. I am so happy he is coming home. I hope they will not send him out again anytime soon!

I need to go decide on something for dinner.

MO: James is my son...he is 28 and 'lives' here, but travels 100% of the time with his job. It is a new job that he has only had for four months, but he is gone almost all the time. He loves it, as he is single and footloose and fancy free. I am happy for him to be able to travel, but I sure miss him when he is gone. He is so much FUN. I also have a daughter and son in law who live with me, along with their 7 month old son. My husband is Tom...he was laid off from his job two months ago and is in the middle of a job search. He is a Java programmer, so he should be able to find a job...it will just take some time. I hope your little guy is feeling better. It is so hard when they are sick! to you! You probably need it!

ROSALIE: I just hate it when the internet goes out! Even if I am not planning on using it, it just bugs me. I feel so disconnected! Did you get your herbs planted? We have parsley that wintered over, along with mint and sage, and thyme. The basil, unfortunately, never makes it.

TONI: How is Jackson doing? He sounds like a lot of fun! I know you will like getting that work done on your home. How is your weather? It was so nice here, but today is a bit brisk.

SOLLY: You have a good weekend too! Don't over do it with the round ball!

SEF: Yep, yours were that small once! James is at least in Atlanta! Tom is on his way to pick him up! I need to learn to crochet again. I enjoy knitting...but I think crochet is nice because you always have the current stitch on the needle...so you dont' drop stitches like you can in knitting.

TECH: I don't blame you for shaving Junior. He probably likes it anyway...it has to be less itchy for him, and more comfortable. I think Mr. Derek needs to get off the couch and help with him. Wasn't HE the one that wanted an Old English Sheepdog???

MELF: Yay! I am so glad you are doing so well! Getting in a walk, and eating right! I hope it begins to pay off on the scale for you too! I think the wind is heading this way. It is cooler today...and blustery. Pine cones keep hitting the roof and startling me!

THUNDER: Way to go on the loss! Your hubby is going to be so surprised and pleased! Is he still taking Byetta? The company recently sent out an email saying that they have now determined that once you open the pen, you don't have to refrigerate it anymore! How about that?

BOB:

We have some MIAs... still no GATOR, COUNTRY, FRUIT, HEART, PANCHO, KENGJW..

Maybe now they will stop that. It will make him sssssssssoooo happy...lol Hes in Texas heading for Lancaster to have his truck fixed after that guy hit his front end. Hes still ticked about that...men and their babys...lol.

Hi all,

SOLLY: I guess in your case "while the cats away the mouse will play" doesn't fit. Glad you dropped in to let us know you are okay.

TONI: Being here on board does make a difference. I'm getting spring fever too. Our lawns are starting to green up, the bottle brush bushes are bloooming like crazy.

MO: I remember snow. I hope I see it again before I die! Just see it, walk in it, NOT shovel it!

BOB: Not celebrating St. Paddy's Day? Everyone is supposed to be Irish on that day. I thought Fruit would be here with her news too. You always have the neatest avatars and smileys.

May good things happen, Shirley
