Hi all,

I was so proud of the 4# loss. Then yesterday after we entertained we went out for lunch. At a wonderful buffet place. Sigh............I had 99% protein, a rib, a fish fillet, a small piece of chicken and a little macaroni and cheese. Then we all went up to cruise the dessert section. They did have SF lime jello, whipped topping and chocolate pudding, but did I have that? NO! I had a cherry something, I think it was patterned after Black Forest cake but coulodn't really find the cake. It was decicious! Result? Scale up 1/2# this a.m. Needless to say I have been an angel today.

We had a grand time entertaining yesterday with all the Irish songs. There are so many to choose from you don't know where to start. The sudience really got into them, singing with us and moving in their chairs. It was a blast.

THIN: Wish I was young enough to blame a gain on TOM. Alas or hooray I should say, those days are gone forever.

MONET: Isn't it amazing wihen we get an unexpected surge of eneergy, even if it is 5 in the morning! Sometimes by the end of the day though the bottom drops out. Hope that din't happen to you. Now those are my kind of mugs. No they didn't look that big! You should have lots of confidence you do beautiful work!

TONI: Cabbaage sounds so good. The family doesn't like it so I don't fix it often, I'm the only one who will eat it.

MELF: Hope you feel better tomorrow. If we don't have one ache we have another!

BOB: You're a ray of sunshine!

TECH: Seems like you're doing a good of bringing up Shelly. I hope Grandma cools her knickers. It is a shame when a parent doesn't show interest. How nice to have the adoption.

SOLLY: My grandma would say you need a dose of sulfhur and molasses! It's terrible to have such a low feeling. I'd know something was wrong if food didn't interest me!!! Feel better soon.

COUNTRY: A garden always means work, tilling, planting, weeding etc. Then harvesting for me means canning and freezing. That's the part I liked best. We'll wait for posts and replies as long as you keep touching base with us.

Better think about supper. I'm a little late tonight.

May good things happen, Shirley

Just a fly by! I sent the parts from my wheel off to California to be evaluated, but heard from the man I have been emailing..it is going to cost $300 cause my wheel is such an old model! I can buy a new one for about twice that.... So I am rather depressed. I know how to hand build, I just prefer wheel thrown.

Eating was good today. I fixed individual pizzas for dinner with a ww flat bread for the crust. It was really good! I loaded mine with mushrooms, black olives and a touch of green pepper. No meat...I am trying to avoid red meats as much as possible to see if it helps.

This fly by has turned into a rather chatty post...I need to go !

Good morning ladies.

I tell you what I was so sick at my stomach all day yesterday. DD said she was too. Sure hope we are not coming down with something. Managed to eat dinner and that was it. Did absolutely nothing else. I could not wait to go to bed. It was just a yucky day all way around. Today is better. Stomach feels better. My DD's dog finally went home after 10 days so I started washing all the blankets and comforters. He sheds so terribly. Hope we are up to going to the gym tonight or at least getting in a good walk. I think it is supposed to warm up some today.

County, we miss you when you are not posting, but understand. I am so jealous of your garden. We don't have any place to put one. I would love just to grow some herbs in a container.

Melf. Isn't that always the way, you go on with the exercise and feel so glad you did. Glad that root canal wasn't too bad. We are having chicken enchilladas tonight. They are cooking in the crockpot right now.

Sef, why do we sabbotage ourselves so badly? Maybe your buffet will not affect your loss. Get right back on track and you will be fine.

Toni, send me some of that warm weather. It was only in the 40's yesterday. I could not ever get warm.

Thunder, good job on your eating yesterday.

Monet, we have been eating veggie pizzas for awhile now and I don't even miss the meat. I'm sure DH does though. he just makes up for it by eating twice as much. I'm sorry about your wheel. I know how much you have enjoyed working withit again. Can you get a used one somewhere? I'm sure somewhere on the internet someone has one they want to get rid of.

Got to get busy. Have a great day

Good Morning

This will have to be a quickie as I am going out to lunch to-day and have to shower and fix my hair soon. We are going to an Indian restaurant. They have a buffet lunch which is very good. I plan on not eating much rice, will concentrate on the salads, chicken, veggies and dal. I was out Monday for lunch and did eat fish and chips but had only a half serving of chips and the lightly battered fish. I went for my walk this morning, came home, had breakfast (steel-cut oatmeal with berries) and since then have been sitting reading the newspaper while drinking my coffee. I made a big decision yesterday not to weigh myself every day. It's been like an obsession. So I'm hoping I can keep off until Monday. It sure doesn't do me any good getting on every day. I didn't walk yesterday but did do bowling and badminton.

Gotta run. Will try to get back later for replies.

Went to bed early last night & was up early this morning. Although I am having some discomfort from the root canal, it's tolerable. Went for my 20/1 mile walk today. Atkin's protein shake fro breakfast, small grapefruit for snack & fixing to have a salad for lunch.

We started a First Place group at church which will focus on the total being, body, soul & mind. We're following a high protein guide which allows 90 carbs, 135 protein, 33 fats with a total of 1200 cals. I would appreciate some feedback on this please. Is that too many carbs?? I am doing this with the SB WOE so they are all the right carbs. I'm just a little leary of the amout. I have not reached my 1200 cals on all 3 days since I started & my protein is way under also, so I see that I need to add protein & that will bring up the cal count as well.

Solly, I have made up my own recipe for the WW turkey enchiladas & figured out the total cals, etc then divided that by the number of enchiladas it made. Do you have a recipe for yours & the nutritional info on it? I will try to post my recipe on the board later today.

Right now I got to go. GS has an appt with ENT at 2pm & I need to eat & get ready to go. Later ya'll! Have a great day!

I babysat last night while Laura and Justin went off for the night. I had a blast. This baby is such an angel. He is trying to crawl, but ends up going backwards! We went for a walk, then sat out on the garden swing for a while. The weather is gorgeous! Anyway, here is a picture I took this morning of my little guy.

HI ALL.

Busy day. Vacuumed. Made Lasagna Casserole. vegetable barley soup, and cole slaw. Ready to put my feet up. Thought I'd check in first. Not sure I like the casserole. It is a new recipe and I think it lacks the zip of my lasagna or baked ziti. It's okay though. Don't think I would make it again unless family likes it.

Sitting here yawning.

MONET: It's the pits about your wheel. If you want to make a business of your work you need the right equipment to work with. If you prefer thrown you're never really gonna be satisfied with hand built. I think the suggestion to look online for a used one sounds good. Either that or bite the bullet and give up something to compensate for buying a new one. If you have it repaired you know what you have, a used one you might not be sure how good it will be. Decisions, decisions. Your little guy is handsome!

SOLLY: Glad you are feeling better. Thanx for the words of encouragement. I am back on track yesterday and today.

ROSALIE: Hope you are better than I was at my buffet lunch!! I love to sit and read the paper or do a crossword puzzle while having coffee.

MELF: Glad you are feeling better, even though not tip top. How great to have the First Place Group.

Just got a call from Jeff, wants to go to the community theater Friday or Saturday night.

That's it for now.

May good things happen, Shirley

Hi everyone. I've been on an emotional roller coaster this week with the passing of Shelley's paternal gene pool. I keep having dreams of floating through, in and around the house we lived in. Its really weird. I think this summer, I might take Shelley to the little church I used to attend with Kevin and where she was baptised and see if the old pastor is still working there and see if Shelley and I can have a little going away thing with that pastor (or just the two of us if that pastor has been called eslewhere). The church is in the backyard of the house we lived in together. I don't know, maybe I'll feel better come summertime and will just skip it.

Will be back later on....

I edited my last post and deleted a comment about cremation, in case you read it and then don't see it. I don't want to upset anyone that's had a loved one cremated...it's just freakin me out is all.

Tech- Sending good vibes and prayers your way to help you and Shelley through this tough time!!

Monet- He is a cutie!!

OK girls! I need your tips and artistic ideas! We now know that our new school that I will be at next year will be Avery Elementary, our mascot will be the cubs (as in bear cubs), and our colors will be blue, green and gold. This will feed into the middle and high school where my kids go, which is the grizzlies and they are green and blue. Obviously I wil have a blank slate for a clinic. The newer clinics have a bathroom, cabinets and countertop with a sink in the main area, and the "recovery cot", desk, file cabinets, supplies, etc. will be provided. I'm just wondering if anyone has any cute ideas for decorations, or things that you have observed with you own kids schools that I can use. I don't think painting is an option, but posters, knick knacks etc are all good! Thanks in advance!!!

Good morning ladies.

I slept all night long. That is very unusual for me. Feeling much better today. I had a meeting @ 8:00 and another at 1:00. I'm going to lunch with a friend. Hopefully to a place with a salad bar. Tonight the place my daughter works (they restore the history of Ky) is having a lecture on slaves and the underground railroad. She was having trouble getting enough people so I said I would come. I think it will be interesting. I love stuff like that in the Civil war time. Plus they are having wine and cheese before hand Then we have to run my the funeral home and then we will have dinner. It will be late, and I know my DD will want Mexican. So it is going to be a busy day.

Rosalie, I think not weighing everyday is a good idea. I wish I could do it. I just have a routine, after I brush my teeth whil waiting ont he shower to warm up, I jump on the scale. I think I have adjusted to the fluctuations. But if I overeat one day,I usually skip the scale just in case it it up a lot.

Melf, I don't have the nutritional info on my chicken. But you could probably figure it out easily. I put 4 chicken breasts in the crockpot, sprinkled 1/2 package of taco seasoning overthem. Added a big can (20 oz) of black beans, a can of rotel. Cook on low for 6-8 hrs. I also added a can of green chilis as I like mine spicy. It makes about 8 enchilladas. I knowit is 4 Weight Watcher points.

Monet, I can't get over how big he has gotten. I still think he looks a lot like you. Maybe your DD favors you? I would be keeping him all the time he is so cute.

Sef, good job getting back on track. I know you can do it.

Tech, I think you just need time time to let all these emotions settle down. How is Shelley doing?

Thin, Sorry I don'thave any ideas for you (I'm not a very creative person). It must be exciting though to have a new place to fix up the way you want.

Got to run. Going to be an early lunch today. Have a great day.

Default Good afternoon

Howdy ya'll. It is so beautiful outside today. I hope to get in a walk since I was pretty lazy yesterday.

Monet...your grand son is PRECIOUS! Those rosy cheeks are so adorable. I'm sorry to hear about your wheel.

Solly...I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better. Hopefully you can have a herb garden in pots. That is my favorite part of gardening. I just love to walk out on the porch in the summer and smell the wind. Usually the different basils and chocolate mints are pretty strong and smell SO good.

Sef...I think my favorite part is picking. It is the reward for all the planting and weeding. I don't mind the freezing and canning part but that is too much like work..LOL

Tech...praying for God's peace as you and Shelly deal with your loss. I understand that not all the memories were good he was a part of your past and therefore a part of who you are now. ((hugzz))

Thin...maybe you could find some stick on paw prints to make a path on the wall. I saw the most adorable little bear end table once in a magazine online. I wish I could recall the name because it was only 14.95. Everything in the catalog was 14.95. It would be adorable in your office.

Bob...hey you...how are you and Kate doing?

Melf...I hope today finds your root canal feeling tons better.

Rosalie...I've never had Indian food, is it very spicy? I LOVE spicy foods.

Thunder..WTG on your OP day. I wish I'd have one totally legal day.

Fruit...where are you and how are you doing?

Heart...if you a peeking in...((hugzz))

I need to get my booty in gear. I hope each of you has a fantastic day.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Monet: That little boy is just an old soul, isn't he? I can't get over those CHEEKS!!

Solly: I think you're right. Although I have always had a hard time with death. The weird thing is that, although Kevin was a great aggrevation to my life the last 13 years or so, he was still a rather significant person in my life..we went through lamase class and childbirth together to start with. I haven't seen hide nor hair of him in over seven years...but still, it's weird to know he's now passed on.

Well, I have one whole day under my belt with being legal schmegal and I'm working on day two. I had a low carb yogurt and a tilapia filet for lunch and for breakfast...wait! I didn't have anything but coffee for breakfast. Yesterday I had a granola bar for breakfast...which isn't really legal, but not bad, all things considered and what I COULD have had for breakfast. For lunch I had a yogurt and a kiwi and for dinner I had...Oh, crap...I can't remember what I had, but I remember it being legal and involving salad.

Okay...have to get some cleaning in before I go pick up Kyle from school. We have a TARGET that opened yesterday and I had to go poke around on my only cleaning day this week.

Talk to you later on!!
