We ate early at 3 pm because it was done. The roast was good but would have been better if I had browned it first. I didn't brown it because it was still partially frozen. I put baby carrots in it, then made rice pilaf and broccoli. The rice pilaf was Rice A Roni so it has sodium. Also I cooked the roast with some beef bullion in the pressure cooker, so sodium there, too. . 60 minutes And done!

Step son called today and his MIL is home and doing well. We were all worried about her as we were about you, Trish. I hope she does as well as you are doing.

Sue I pray your step son's MIL will recover very well.

I ate the frozen stuffed bell peppers but they weren't very good so I won't buy them again.

Headed to bed soon. Good night.

Trish, hearing about the frozen stuffed peppers reminds me of the time I was cooking them and my gas oven didn't light. I didn't smell the gas leak but my boyfriend at the time showed up and he smelled it. He opened all the windows and kept us from blowing to kingdom come! I was afraid to use that oven after that. If he hadn't showed up you wouldn't know me.

I didn't sleep well last night and I have to go to rehab. I ate a half of a leftover pork sandwich since they told me to always eat before coming to rehab.

Carol Sue Hope your time at rehab goes well. WOW! I'm glad your then boyfriend came in and smelled the gas on and saved your life.

I am feeling better this morning with a better attitude about dieting. I guess yesterday was just one of those days. DH bought a box of keto brownie mix so I will make that today. We will have pork chops for dinner.

Have a nice day everybody.

I came home from rehab and had more pork roast for lunch. I heated up some pork gravy to put on it. You should try this gravy. I buy it in Wal-Mart near the Heinz turkey gravy but its Campbell's Golden Pork Gravy in a can. Vert tasty.

Rehab was better today. I was the only one there for 1/2 hour then the other guy came late. He missed his ride. He wears a defribulator so he might not be able to drive.

We are going to the casino.

DH won $500. I put $2 in a machine and won $40. Better than nothing!

Carol Sue Glad you finally won something. I don't think y'all have won for a while if I remember correctly.

Today turned out to be a good day. I won't exercise tomorrow so will make it a house cleaning day.

Good night.

Yes,it's been a while since we won at the casino and this wasn't really a big win.

My weight is wavering between 173 and 174. I don't like it. I was down to 165 after I came home from the hospital but the lbs have been creeping back. I know what to do but I don't seem to be willing to do it. Can somebody give me a nice hard smack??? Knock some sense into me.

This weekend will be cleaning days for me. And I have laundry to do, too. DH helps but I don't allow him to wash my good clothes. I want them done my way.

I just realized I haven't been here today. We did some cleaning up to keep things in shape since we, especially DH worked so hard to get things ready to look nice for when the kids came for Thanksgiving. It will be so much easier if we can keep it clean rather than having to try to catch up. Our Advantage plan is changing it's name in 2024 so I spent some time checking to see if our meds are still covered.

We had fish for dinner and I guess DH plans to eat beets everyday because he heard they are good for me while having chemotherapy treatments. We have had them 2 days in a row.

Weight was up 2 lbs today but then I'm not taking 2 Lasix a day anymore. I kind of missed exercising today but I did walk around the house today using my cane a few times instead off my walker all the time.

I posted this morning but I guess it didn't take. I'm up and ready for cardiac rehab after 12 hours in bed, A shower and breakfast. I slept for about 9 of those hours. I needed it. We like beets too but we don't eat the Harvard beets. We put vinegar on canned sliced beets.

I have been missing some of my fluid pills because I don't like to take them if I'm going somewhere. I also didn't get on the scale today and I'm already dressed.

I am happy with our Advantage plan. I called yesterday to see if there was something better in our area but I was on hold so long I just hung up. Ours is fine. For 3 hospital stays this year my out of pocket was very low. Under $1000. I think that's good. All of our meds are generic so we don't pay.

Cardiac rehab went well. I missed the opportunity to quit. Today the instructor asked me how many sessions I wanted to do because I'm at 12 today. I replied, I thought I was supposed to do 18. I could have said, ok I'm finish at 12. So I guess I've committed myself to 2 more weeks. I wish I could think faster. I could exercise at home just as well. So be it. My script said 12-18 sessions and the one girl told me my insurance pays 100%.

I. Hope you enjoyed your dinner last night and today, too! Now I'm hungry for beets. They are very heart healthy!

Carol Sue You have a very good Advantage Plan. Mine is better than just Medicare, but not as good as yours. I'm sorry you have 2 more weeks of rehab. Perhaps the good thing that will come out of that will be that it will become such a habit that you will be able to move into exercise very easily at home.

We had steak today. I really want to do my best to get my blood count up so it is much better when I have my lab work done Friday.

DS called and asked me if I would let her invite her DS and his DS to come to my house Sunday so she can see him for Christmas. Her house needs some house work before she feels comfortable to have anyone at her house. She said they would provide the food for all of us to eat that day. She will find out tomorrow if they are coming. I'm glad we are now keeping out house comfortably nice for company.

Have a nice day.

Trish, I understand how you feel about having your house ready for company. I would do much better if I didn't have cardiac rehab the next 2 weeks. I have both cleaning and baking to do. DH did some laundry yesterday and I folded it and put it away. I had 20 pairs of underwear in the laundry! I don't know when we last did whites! LOL. We went to Rodneys for dinner and I had eggplant parmesan again. It was so good. I have set myself a goal to lose 40 lbs by June. I will be exercising at home by then and want to get back to low carb, 2 MAD and IF with a 6-8 HR eating window. I don't usually make a formal plan but just take what I get but this time I want to see if a plan works better for me.

This week Wal-Mart didnt have any white SL Delightful bread so I bought Nickles 35. I think I like it better than the SL so I might switch. I bought 2 loaves and put 1 in the freezer.

I hope you have a nice visit with DS and the kids.

I bough the ingredients for Cabbage rolls so that's on the menu for the weekend.

Carol Sue We don't have Nickles bread here. DH couldn't get SLMG bread around Thanksgiving so he got the 45 Calorie White Whole Wheat bread. It seems to be a little smaller slices but it doesn't have holes in it like the MG. We like it better so I told DH he could buy it if he wants to or when he can't get the MG.

I've had a pretty good day. DH is putting a new and better garbage disposal than the one that came with the house. It will be nice to have a good one. He did the same thing when we bought our house in SC. The builder didn't put in the one we wanted so DH did.

Hoping for a good nights sleep and I hope you will be able to get everything done that you need to do for Christmas.
