The cabbage rolls are in the oven. DH got up early and blanched the cabbage. I woke up at 9 and he was gone so I got up and made the rolls. I got about 40+ but they are small. I like the small ones. The house is nice and warm after blanching the cabbage. I'm having a cup of coffee before I make halushky. Wal-Mart finally got the noodles I like. The are wide and flat.

Before I knew about SL Delightful I always bought the Nickles 35 but everybody bought it all before I got there. They are both good. The SL is smaller slices but 10 calories more. I think Nickles is made in Ohio.

I hope to get some laundry done today. I have clothes all over the bedroom! I wish I had a first floor laundry. We have had several garbage disposals. There was none here when we moved in. Step daughter was used to ours but never had one for 20 years in the trailer. Now she has one in her new home.

I don't know what we are eating today. DH wants his chipped beef which I could eat with rice our noodles or just cave in and eat it with the biscuits. Actually I was surprised that after Thanksgiving when we had all the leftover rolls that I would eat one or two every evening before I finally threw the rest out that my FBG was good not bad. I thought that the bread would raise my bs reading but it didn't.

I read something the other day about people who successfully lose weight do not think of foods being "good or bad". They just eat what the want. It sounds so similar to WW Simply Filling and Intuitive Eating. I really liked that way of eating but people fussed at me for doing it to lose weight. I actually was also doing it that way because I like eating that was. I've decided that the main thing I hate about following a diet is the rules of you must eat 2 or 3 servings of fruits, 3 to 5 servings of veggies etc, etc. I eat one or two main meals a day. Some days I want 3 and some day I just want 1. I always have a main meal with DH but I don't always want breakfast or dinner. At this point, I think I should eat what I want and when I want it. This morning I just had 2 eggs and a c of coffee for breakfast.

I need to get my exercises done. This is going to make 2 weeks of actual 5 days worth of exercise. I am so proud of myself. I don't do all my exercises at once. I spread them out over the day. Yesterday I estimated that I probably end up doing at least 45 minutes of actual exercise besides moving around more and more.

Hope everybody has a nice weekend.

Trish, I agree with you about eating what and when you want. I understand why they say to eat a number of servings of fruits and vegetables but many times the vegetables I eat is 2 servings not one. 1/2 c of cooked vegetables is a serving but I usually eat 1 cup so that's 2. servings. I rarely eat salad so I rarely have raw vegetables. I eat less fruit than required. I don't like much fruit so I don't think to eat it. I rarely eat it with a meal.

I ate some stuffed cabbage rolls. The cabbage and tomato is the vegetable. The rice is the carb. And the meat the protein. I ate 5 but they were small. . 2-3 bites each. I didn't have any fruit today.

I think you have a good plan with your exercise, doing it throughout the day. I was very tired today with no energy. I wanted to wash a load of clothes while the cabbage cooked but I was too tired. I hope I can do them tomorrow.

I had a good eating day. I had a few bites of a few things besides the chipped beef, salad and fruit dessert we eat. I heard from DS and her DS and DGS aren't coming tomorrow. So the main thing we will be looking forward to is the Cowboys vs Steelers game tomorrow night although I'm not sure we will win. Our chance of beating the Steelers is kind of iffy.

I'm glad you enjoyed your cabbage rolls. What are y'all doing for Christmas? What are you coking for it? Are you going to y'all's kids?

We are watching Christmas movies every night until Christmas.

Trish, the Steelers played Thursday so they aren't playing today. Dallas is playing the Philadelphia Eagles. They are a tough team.

Yesterday DH watched a movie on the Sci Fi channel called Santa's Slay. Santa was killing everyone. I hardly ever watch Christmas movies because DH is always watching car repair shows. We have several other TVs but I rarely use them. I like my recliner in the living room. If I watch TV in bed I fall asleep.

We have no plans for Christmas. I will cook a ham and make potato salad. I don't know what my step children have planned but they usually spend Christmas with their in laws. We have our Christmas get together on Dec 28, DHs birthday. He will be 81. If step sons in laws are going away they will come to our house. They have other children in other states and sometimes they go there. Maybe not this year since she had a stroke. Maybe their kids will come here.

I tried to post this morning and share a link and it didn't work. Then I got busy reading a lot of healthy diet information online and the time got away from me and I forgot to check back. Nothing happening here. It has been a quiet, but cold day. Very good day to stay home and relax. My eating window was 7 hrs today. I ate 2 meals and a snack today. Trying to decide if I want to start using MFP again. I will decide between now and 2024. Tomorrow I need to make a list of the different questions I want to ask the dietician when she calls me Thursday morning.

Carol Sue You are right. Cowboys play Eagles tonight and it still could be a very difficult game for us to win. If Dallas shows up, it should be a good game regardless as to who wins. Going to go get settled to watch it.

I usually take my second fluid pill at 5-6 pm. I'm 90% sure I took 2 instead of 1. I will know if I'm really up peeing ALL NIGHT!! I tested blood sugar and when I took my G I think I also took a fluid pull. An hour layer when I filled my pill box for the week I took another one. Right away I realized what I did but there was nothing I could do to change it unless I made myself throw up. I don't think it will hurt me. I hope not.

So was it a good link you were trying to share?

Cardiac rehab again tomorrow. We might get snow tonight so I might not go. If I dont go they will tack that day on the end and I dont want to go after Christmas so I'm trying to show up every time. I sure hope my insurance is paying for this.

Enjoy the game and I hope Dallas wins! I don't know if that game is on here.

Weight is down 2 lbs. I was up 3 times for the bathroom because of that extra fluid pill. DH says his mother died because she was on Lasix and when they took her to the ER she was badly dehydrated and her organs started shutting down. I don't know if she took potassium. This is why I think the diuretic caused my kidney problems. DH wants me to stop the fluid pill but I think I need it. I just have to be careful.

Cardiac rehab went well. Its about 45 minutes long. I do 3 machines plus a warm up and cool down. The instructors are all nice. There is still only 1 man in the class with me.

We went to Goodwill for senior day and then Walmart.

Step daughter is stopping by later for leftover stuffed cabbage.

10 common signs of too much sugar in your body (msn.com)

Carol Sue this is the link I wanted to share on here because I found it very interesting how our body can tell us we have too much sugar in our bodies.

I was surprised that too much sugar causes fatigue as well as not being able to sleep which makes sense. If you can't sleep you can end up being tired all the time. I was really surprised that hypertension/ high blood ca pressure is be caused by too much sugar in our bodies and we need to watch the sugar intake as well as the sodium intake to control blood pressure.

I also found one on sugar alcohol that explains the difference in it and regular sugar, but the thing I found helpful with that article was that it told the amount that is safe to eat each day which 10 to 15 grams. Anything more than that can cause digestive problems... potty issues.

Exercises are done for today. I have heard that exercises can become an enjoyable habit. I think I am beginning to feel that way about doing mine. I guess it didn't snow last night since you went for the rehab. I know you are glad you were able to stay schedule so you can be through before Christmas.

Cod fish and veggies but no salad. My stomach feels too heavy after eating so I am going to experiment for a few days to see how I feel not eating a salad.

Have a good day everyone.

Trish, many times I think my sleep issues are due to high blood sugar. I sleep better if my blood sugar is low when I go to bed.

Step daughter stopped and got the cabbage rolls and also some things I got from out insurance, OTC products. We each can get $75 worth of products each qtr and we don't need that much so I got a few things that she uses. I have so much toothpaste because I always get that and Tylenol.

Today at Walmart I bought some old fashioned Christmas hard candy because it reminds me of my MIL. She always bought it and put it in a candy dish for Christmas but no one ate it. I like to eat a piece now and then and think about her and my mother. There's another candy that my mother used to buy and I will buy that if I see it, too. Memories of people I loved.

We had some snow showers last night but no accumulation. It is very cold! I was cold last night sleeping but too lazy to get up and get another blanket. .

Carol Sue I used to like some of that Christmas candy too. I've been wanting to buy some Christmas cookies but if I don't go to the store with DH O can keep from buying it. I used to could get the candy at Dollar General and maybe the cookies too. The Christmas candy reminds me of Daddy because always bought it. I used to buy the Christmas for the grandkids when they were little. DH wants me to go to the store with him tomorrow and I will try to. It iis so much easier for me to stay home than to go through all I do to dress to go out, but I will try to go because I want to go ahead and get what we want to eat for Christmas. I go for Lab draw Friday and I really don't want to shop on Friday.

I have done that when I was already in the bed and was too cold to get out to get cover.

Goodnight.

Trish, even though I bake cookies for Christmas I like to buy those butter cookies that come in a decorated tin. People donate their empty tins to Goodwill and I buy them for giving people cookies at Christmas. Now that my Grandson is older I give him his own little tin of cookies with the ones he likes. He likes that. One time I bought a tin that said David's cookies and used that for my step son David.

DH doesnt want me to go to cardiac rehab anymore but I am not a quitter and want to finish. He thinks that is making me tired,or not helping me. I think I am tired because of low red blood cells. I want to see what the doctor says.

DH wants to go to the casino today. I should say I'm too tired! I wish we could get a room and I could take a nap. He is cleaning the carpet now so I guess I have to go.

The scale was down to 171 today. I had potty issues yesterday all day. Sometimes that's a good thing!!

I went with DH to the store across from Sam's. I start out pretty good but then as it gets closer to time for me to leave, I start walking slower and slower. I did see Christmas candy but no cookies. Some of the Candy were some used to love to eat, I found that I wasn't interested enough to eat them now especially if too much sugar really does cause me to feel so tired etc. They had little Christmas cakes in the middle of an isle for quick sale, but they didn't interest me. Maybe we will be able to go to Dollar General or Dollar Tree before Christmas.

DH bought another box of Keto Zero sugar brownie mix for me to make. This one is by Pillsbury. The last one was by Duncan Hines. I still have one I bought a long time ago. If it isn't out of date, I need to bake it too.

Carol Sue What a nice thing to do for your precious grandson. I should start doing something special like that for my 2 great grandsons. I would like them to have some special something that they will remember about me when I'm gone.

I got my roast for Christmas Day. It was big enough for DH to cut it us and get 3 small roasts out of it. I me I told DS that I would have them over for Christmas dinner if I wasn't so lazy. The nice thing is that she understands because she feels the same way. They leave sometime this weekend to go to their DD and DSIL for the week and come back home the Friday before Christmas.

Hope you feel better if you have to go to the casino today.

We went to the casino. He didn't win but didn't lose either. Thats ok. He got to go and had fun. I didn't gamble but sat and read. I had fun too. I ate a fish sandwich and it was disappointing. Not great. I didn't eat the bun. They changed their fish sandwich and it used to be better. Maybe he will not want to go anymore. What do you think?

We are home early. Up early tomorrow for Rehab.

I wish DH would eat beef for Christmas but his tradition is ham. One year we went to step sons and she and her mother cooked a standing rib roast. Very good! DH ate it but he prefers ham for Christmas. Its a lot of work to have people over for a holiday dinner. You have to feel good. I'm glad I dont do it anymore. I don't know what step daughter is doing. 2 years she had her in laws over. I don't know if they are coming this year. They used to go to his dads Christmas eve. Step mother is Italian and they had Feast of Seven Fishes. Step daughter didn't like it but I would have loved it. They don't go anymore because his dad has passed. If I had it no one would eat it.
Come to think of it ham is going to be bad for both of us with the salt. His blood pressure has been good but salt will take it up. I'm not supposed to have salt because of CHF. But I do love baked ham. Maybe he will want turkey. I don't want turkey but I don't want to go back to the hospital either.
