DENISE! WOW. You look amazing! 160 lbs gone forever! You continue to be such an inspiration to us all here!

sessa555..Way to go on that party and doing good. It's such a great feeling to get through something like that knowing you made good choices. It's just a few hours and it's over!

Gina..I'm doing good. I'll post a personal update in a minute. Get back in there and we'll do the end together! :) I don't remember days 1-11 being so sucky! I just got my blue menu today and it's not much better than the yellow one! :) UGH!:D Oh, well. I made it the 4 days through the yellow. Just 6 more days on the crappy blue one and I'll be back to green! WOOHOO!

Judy..Thanks so much for this. It's good to print and put on the wall at home:)..Sorry to hear about the scary stuff with your daughter. I hope everything's fine and she has no more seizures.

SIGS..No shame needed! If you need to start back, just get in there:) I did my own plan for a month and we know it didn't work well! :) It's hard, but we know we can do it right!

Gina, you and Rocki may shame me into starting fresh after Christmas. To borrow dla's sentiment, I have been following my own plan for too long. Not sure why, but I've been really bad about taking my supplements and logging my food entries. I've still been losing, just at a slower pace. Truth be told, I could probably stabilize at my current weight, but I haven't been a good MRCer in so long that I'm not sure stablization would actually work. I think I was really spoiled starting out on the beige menu, though.

Deb..Good luck getting back on track. I know about the circle and am not crazy about the salads. I end up doing cucumbers most of the time. UGHG...The yellow and blue menu stink and the salads are getting old, but WE CAN DO IT!! :)

Hi Friiends ... even though I don't post much, I do read and keep up with you all and all of the new friends. I'm just hanging in there, staying the same, making not so hot choices (on special occasions), which leads to total non-weight loss. Still stuck at 41#, but need to lose 15 or 30 more (I never really know, they keep lowering it). Part of my personal problem is that I am so sick of the same old foods ... just looking at another salad might just do me in! :D It's a vicious circle, one I know I can overcome, so I just keep hanging in there, getting inspiration from all of you.

Shine On-
The dressing packets are in the grocery store. I've found them at both Walmart & King soopers. They are in with the dressings in a clear plastic container made by Kraft! Enjoy.

Update..

Hey everyone. I'm so back on track and can hardly contain my excitement! WOOHOOO!!! They crack me up at my center b/c I swear they all take a HUGE HAPPY PILL every day! :) I'm really not that excitable and would never hoot and hollar the way they do:).

Anyway..I WI this AM and was down another 3 lbs! SOOOOO...That's 6 lbs in my first week back OP. I'm really excited b/c I thought it wouldn't go this well. I'm down under 130 again and am really excited about that. My overall goal is 115 so now I'm only 14.5 lbs away and only 4 lbs away from my lowest back in September.

I'm on the blue menu now for the next 6 days (Tuesday-Sunday) so I should have another great WI next Monday. I'll go tomorrow for a class and Thursday for WI again.

Keep up the hard work everyone. IT WILL PAY OFF!!

Congrats to all of you with big losses and NSVs! Man this is a tough time of year to stay OP. Loved the tips from Oprah! I'm attending the "Surviving the Holidays" class tonight at my center and will let you know of any other good suggestions.

After my 5 lb week I seem to be stuck again. It's not bothering me too much though because my clothes continue to get looser, I'm looking better and better in pictures :) Plus, it's my TOM and I've been doing my C25K runs over the past week (I wasn't doing C25K the week I lost 5--grrr). So I'm just trying to hang in there and keep plugging along. I'm on Day 3 of MetaQuick so we'll see if that helps at all. I was getting a little tired of my foods and having some cravings, so I thought MQ might help to refocus as it has in the past.

I've got to give another plug to the C25K program--I'm so loving it and I have always HATED running. I just started week 4 today and the 30 minute session includes 16 minutes of running (2-3 min runs and 2- 5 minute runs). I really wasn't sure I'd be able to do it but I felt like a rock star once I finished. I just love the challenge of it! Gives me something to focus on other than the diet and also keeps me in check over the holidays.

Rocki 12-15-2008 03:43 PM

Hey there! Where are you doing your runs? I started a while back (gave up a month ago when I went totally off plan). I got to week 5 I think and I was really loving it. I did it (all but once) in the gym, on a treadmill though. I know most people run outdoors, but I found that hard to do for me. I felt I could track time better at the gym and I felt safer that way and the temperature was always the same:). I went last week after a month (except for one run on my Thanksgiving cruise) and did 11 walking minutes and then 3 running, 2 walking 4 for another 20 minutes and I was surprised at how I didn't just pass out. It was difficult starting again, but not as hard as I had imagined. I'm going today to get back on track again. Oh, what is your "real" name?

Hi Rocki! My name is Kim. I also run on a treadmill at the gym. I like having a level, soft surface and the clock/distance in front of me. I try to get a spot next to a runner as I find their pace helps keep me going. I'm so glad you are going to start up again! The C25K forum at 3FC has been a little slow lately but maybe we can get a few people here talking about it. Stuck in Grad School has talked about starting. What week are you going to start today?

BTW--congrats on your big loss. Amazing numbers at your low weight!

exsquisit 12-15-2008 07:23 PM

Hi everyone!

I will never catch up with all the posts, but wanted to drop in and say hello to the old and the new friends on here. I am doing okay. I did have a good Thanksgiving if you know what I mean....Finally got that back off and now I am going to stabilize. I hope everyone is doing well on plan and wish you all happy holidays. I will try to stop in more often, but these 2 jobs are about to take me out!!!!:dizzy:

Rocki 12-15-2008 08:38 PM

Hey Kim.

Wow..I'm glad to find someone else who's on the treadmill too! I need to look at my paperwork to see what week. I'll probably start where you are (we can support each other that way). I went tonight and did 5 walking, 3 running, 2 walking, 3 running, 2 walking, 4 running, 2 walking and 6 running. That way I did a total of 16 running like you're doing:). I felt great afterwards. Let's keep it up:). Oh, thanks on the congrats!:) I'm really excited!

Hi all! Great to hear from you all! I used to live in Greeley ( I went to UNC) and recently graduated and moved back down to Denver in May. I actually live in the Arvada/Westminster area now. I went to the Greeley center for my first MRC attempt. My favorite gal there was Angel. Is she still there?

I find your words of encouragment to each other simply amazing. I am so thankful to be here. Since I started I've lost 6.5 lbs- but I know its not always going to be this easy. I figure it's a lot of water weight finally coming off because I haven't drank this much water in probably 6 months. But my spirits are high because of my self control and determination. Also b/c I get to wonderful ladies like you all! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'm going on a hike tomorrow...little nervous. First time back in so long! Good luck fellow MRCers!!

Hey, Colorado girls! I'm originally from Northern CO. I, too, attended UNC, although several years ago. I've been planted in NE with my hubby but miss CO dearly! Glad to hear there's a center in Greeley. I may get my sister started as she is still in Greeley.:carrot:

sessa555 12-15-2008 10:24 PM

I just braved the snow and ice to WI (we are in the middle of a crazy arctic storm here in Portland) and am down another 1.5 since Friday for a total of 6 pounds in 8 days (they told me today not to count pre-conditioning as diet days). The weather is going to get worse before it gets better, so I admit that a big part of the reason that I even went out today was to pick up some double chocolate pudding HNS's! I also told my counselor that I was planning on drinking at my Christmas party, so I will be doing the QuickSlim for 5 days following. It doesn't sound fun, but I will survive. I got my green menu and start that Thursday.

maintainforlife 12-16-2008 12:45 AM

Okay...don't you just love it when you spend A TON of time giving everyone input...really, everyone...and then, you lose it?!!!! Welcome to the moron generation...or maybe it's just me! I was probably too wordy anyway! and it's getting me out of the dishes...oh, again how the "re-do's" question being home :)! The bottom line...Denise OMG!!!...you make me almost brave enough to post some pics! You are beyond amazing!! Rocky...you do too! Your family is precious! Gina, thanks for your confidence in sharing your fresh start...and writing it down for us! Your insight...even though it may be frustrating for you...is so motivating and real for us!!! lv2ski2004 thanks for sharing your "dressing" ideas...you aren't the only one looking for different flavors! Grad and Mrs. Phibes My daughter and actually two other friends from school have started using Nuun...WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! I'm so glad you shared!!! Okay...NSV...even though my weight stays the same...my pants look rediculous...sooooooo I went into one of our stores that gets Costco..."non-sells" looking for volunteer gifts...tried on a few pairs of pants for fun...and yep...I bought a pair of "10's"...and it gets better...they were Jones of New York...and after all the %...off...I left the store paying $8.30 what the heck...ya gotta luv that!! :)

maintainforlife 12-16-2008 12:48 AM

Oops...Sessa555 Wanted to congratulate you on your motivation! The driving in the snow alone...blows me away!!! You hang in there girl...I'm sure the drinks are going to be worth it! ;)

sessa555 12-16-2008 05:05 AM

We usually don't get much snow, and it has been 6 years since the last time we had enough to actually close down schools. We have no school tomorrow, and more snow and ice coming Wednesday and Thursday, so we might be off all week (I am a high school teacher). I stocked up on diet food, which is good because being stuck at home for days on end could be recipe for disaster. I had yummy choc pudding for dessert tonight, which was awesome. I'm looking forward to trying the cheesecake for breakfast concept on Thursday, which is my first day of my permanent plan.
