Hey Kim..What running shoes do you have? I wanted to buy the Adidas Supernova Sequence but then they stopped the big sale. I found a pair of Adidas (Attune I think) and a pair of Saucony @ Sports Authority today and will go back later and get those probably. They're REALLY super light and feel great on my feet. What other type of music do you listen to while working out?

[QUOTE=WooPigSooie;2500102]Bonnie, I'm laughing out loud about the Rocky theme...would you believe that I listen to the Training Montage from Rocky 4 while I'm doing the 3 or 5 minute runs??? Totally gets me going! The program really is addictive, isn't it? I'd love to get to the point where I experience that runner's high that I hear others talk about. [QUOTE]

Gina..Join the club. We can all do this together! :) WOOHOO!! Have a great time in Vegas!!!

[QUOTE=ShineOn;2500132]Ok, I'm excited. I found information on the C25k and I'm in. :running: I think I'll start around the first of the year. I go back to the basic menu on the 26th, which is too low calorie to run with, but once I'm on the green menu, I should be fine. [QUOTE]

Want2Live..Join the group. We'll have lots of fun:). It really is addictive once you get started and it's definitely a program that's easy to follow. I really enjoy it.

sessa..I have to try the parmesan thing. Is is in the cookbook? I think I might have done it one other time. It sounds yummy! Keep staying strong during this nasty weather up there. It's 80 degrees here (after having frost last week)!

I'm staying strong, despite the instinctual need for comfort food during cold weather.

Gyulene..Welcome and congrats on your great progress so far! That's wonderful losing 34 lbs!!! WOOHOO!!

Welcome! Do you go to the Fayetteville center? I am in Ft. Smith. Glad to have you on the board!

I'm currently wearing Aasics. I love them--very lightweight and cushy on my feet. I've heard good things about the Saucony's. I'd love to go to a real running shoe store someday and have someone evaluate my feet/stride but for now I just buy what feels the best.

I listen to lots of different music on my iPod. I recently read a tip that you should listen to slower/laid back music b/c it will make you feel like you're not working so hard--I think there is something to it. I still listen to music w/ a good beat, but not the super hyper rock or dance music I used to do. Current faves for my runs are "Have you ever" by Brandi Carlisle, "Rule the World" by Coldplay, "Disturbia" by Rihanna, and anything from the Rocky 4 soundtrack :D

So I did Day 2 of Week 4 today and it was tough! The second series of runs about kicked my a**. I was euphoric after completing it though, so totally worth it. I had to lighten my weights afterward b/c I was so physically exhausted. Have you done it yet today?

Okay weird question have any of you ever done the test to see if you are burning fat? They sent some home with me today and mine showed no fat burn at all and I've been totally OP for at least 5 days now!! Just curious what any of the rest of you have found. I'm still losing weight. I dropped another 1 1/2 this week so can't complain with TOM and all.

Wanted someone elses opinion. I never tested it earlier in my weight loss journey so I have nothing to compare it too.

Is it the Keto Stick test, where you test your urine for fat loss? If so, it is a great way to keep and stay on track. I bought my own at Walgreens and I test myself every morning. I can tell if I ate too many carbs by the results. I really like it.:D

I have never tested positive on the ketone strips. The center thinks it is because of some of the prescription meds that I am taking. I have been losing fat during the entire time. If you are staying OP I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks! I figure I keep going down in measurements and I'm always losing weight unless I know I cheated over the weekend and it usually has to be a couple days of cheats to gain or stay the same. I'll try another strip in the morning and see if it shows any different. I may also bump the HNS up to 4 in a day.

The parmesan crunch was listed somewhere on the recipe thread. It's super easy...I got one of the Kraft 'grate it fresh' things of parmesan, measured out 1 oz, sprayed my frying pan with a little bit of Pam, then spread the cheese out and let it crisp. It gets crispy and you can flip it like a pancake to get the other side. It is a definite potato chip substitute (my roommate, who is on LA Weightloss, was sooooooo jealous!).

I've never tested positive either and I've been losing fat. I wouldn't worry about it as long as your tanita is showing a fat loss.

So, I wanted to share a NSV....

We went to Kohls the other night and they had those "warmer wear" thermals on sale.... the ones you can wear under your clothes that are really soft and thin but so cozy warm? Ok, back to the story... so, I looked at the back and realized I would be in a Large which was totally exciting!!!! So, yesterday when I put them on (because again.... I am totally into being cozy warm), they were too big!!! WHOA! Like baggy too big! Like falling down too big!!! I WAS SO PUMPED! So, last night my DH went back and got me cozy warm MEDIUMS! I'm wearing them RIGHT NOW and have a HUGE smile on my face! BTW, cozy warm at work is just the best.... well, not better than cozy warm at home but you get the idea.

I've always tested negative on the ketone strips--this entire year!
