I went to WI today and signed the 50 pound board! I was hoping to a couple of weeks ago, but today was the day. I resigned for 34 more weeks making my contract date August 14, 2009. I should be at goal long before that, but I wanted the extra cushion to get as low as possible. I told one of the counselors at my center that I would run a 10K with him next September. Maybe I have lost my mind...I'm not sure. I am rededicating myself to actually follow the MRC plan starting today. I was going to wait until Sunday, but I've got to be more disciplined. I have been struggling with doing my own thing for about a month now. It is pretty close to plan, but not OP. I haven't figured out if it is mental or not...I'm pretty sure it is. Hope you are all having an OP day! |
Okay had to share I just baked my apple for lunch and had it with a dish of chilled vanilla pudding HNS and totally felt like I was cheating! IT was soooo good!

You can totally do a 10k next September! I'm proud of you for putting that goal out there. Also, congrats on picking today to start back with your rededication.... what better day is there than today, anyway! |

Update...
I WI this AM and was down another 1lb. It should have been more but I screwed up and had snacks and McDonald's last night after my daughter's Christmas dance show. UGH! I took dieter's tea (only do this as a last resort, if necessary, when you go off plan) and I guess that helped me at least lose the one pound I did lose. Back totally OP today with pills, drinks, water (UGH). My year end goal is 5.5 lbs away and that's 13 days so that's .42 lbs per day or 2.94 lbs per week which is totally doable:). |

Question! I'm trying to pack foods for skiing and since we pack our lunches in each day I'm wondering if Applesauce is okay to eat? I have the unsweetened etc... I can pack apples but the sauce would be easier. Thanks!

Hola, everybody. I think I've missed out on a lot of good conversation the last few days. Saw some serious C25K chatter. Will try to catch up tomorrow when my two week winter vacation finally begins! (Yes...we have winter here! It lasts about a week.) I have one major project that has been very stressful that I'm hoping to complete tomorrow, and it will be like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!
Two NSVs to report. The first is that I was in the men's section of Dillard's last Sunday shopping for a belt for my grandfather. The sales associate was probably 22 and looked like a frat boy...and he was actually paying attention to me and going out of his way to help me. I mean...he was really trying hard to help me! I was so astonished because while I've never been treated badly, I'm not used to being given such personal service, especially by a guy in that age range. Victory number 2 is that I took all the clothes in my trunk to a resale shop today. I did this by myself (after going to two resale shops yesterday with a friend--both places were full and weren't buying anything.) I won't find out until tomorrow what, if anything, they'll actually buy, but what I get back will go straight to the mission because I need to let go. If I can get some money to put toward some new things in the process, great. It was also exciting to see so many nice things on the rack in the resale shop that I can actually fit into. Unlike Namaste, I did not find a $7 peacoat. *sniff, sniff* Next week when I go home to the funny farm I'll also have to march my tush into the center and explain that I have been following the SIGS plan for two months and that I don't have a food journal. I'm not sure they'll believe me, as I've still managed to lose about 10 lbs since last I saw them, but I haven't even been close to being on plan. Maybe they can set me straight next week. I asked my doctor on Wednesday where I needed to be, and he said that I am great where I'm at, but that my ideal weight is 156, which is what MRC originally said before I convinced them that could not possibly be the case. LOL. Denise--I love your new pictures. You look smashing! And your hair looks fab, too...wish I could come to Greeley to visit your stylist! |
