Namaste......I don't think I told you that I love your new avatar. You have a beautiful family!

Congrats to both of you! I was 1 lb away from the 40 lb board.

Keepin on I totally understand about the clothes! I'm the same way I'm ready to get rid of it. Although I did buy some really cute things this summer that will be a little hard to get rid of! But I love to shop so it's a great excuse. I asked for gift cards this Christmas so I could shop and not feel guilty.

I did this by myself (after going to two resale shops yesterday with a friend--both places were full and weren't buying anything.) I won't find out until tomorrow what, if anything, they'll actually buy, but what I get back will go straight to the mission because I need to let go. If I can get some money to put toward some new things in the process, great. It was also exciting to see so many nice things on the rack in the resale shop that I can actually fit into. Unlike Namaste, I did not find a $7 peacoat. *sniff, sniff*

I'm envious of all of you who are getting rid of the fat clothes! I KNOW I need to, for many reasons, but I'm still holding on. Biggest reason is that I hope to have another baby in the next year or so, and feel like I might need the bigger sizes as I transition into and out of maternity clothes. Heck, that's why I got most of the bigger clothes in the first place! But I plan to get my rear back into MRC ASAP after having the next baby and not waiting 15 months! So...I'm wearing 12's now, so maybe I'll get rid of all the 16s and keep a couple pairs of 14 pants.

That would be a smart way to do it that way you don't get tooo out of control while you are pregnant! I took that eating for too way too seriously. Does your center have any good suggestions for you while you are pregnant?

I know they don't allow you to do the program while pregnant but I'll have to ask if they have any suggestions. The manager at my center is pregnant right now so I'll ask her what she's doing. I ate whatever sounded good when I was pregnant, and am probably lucky that I *only* gained 40 lbs. Of course I was a good 20 lbs overweight to begin with. The first 25 lbs came off fast but I had to beat the last 15 off w/ a stick! I sure don't want to go through all of that again...

My plan is up at the end of January, and I am 12 lbs away from my current goal. I'm going to really push it and try to get there, or a couple pounds lower if needed to put me in a healthy body fat range. My BMI is within good range now but my BF% needs to come down, and I have the belly jelly to prove it! I bought a small bottle of Cortitrim last night and I'm going to see if that helps get me through this last stretch. I am definitely not going to resign at the end of January since I am so close to goal, and if they won't let me continue or try to force me to stabilize before I'm ready, then I may just have to "go out of town" :D for a couple of weeks and lose the last few on my own...has anyone else been in that situation?

Hi everybody. I’m taking time to catch up on reading and taking more time to comment. WOW!! So many FANTASTIC successes this week. What a way to end the year! Finz signing the 95 lb board and continuing to stabilize; dla signing the 50 lb board; KeepingOnandOn signing the 40 lb board and BonnieMcC signed the 15 lb board !! :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Lots of losses of other great losses this week and so many NSVs!! CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!!! :grouphug:

xyia22 – Welcome to the board!! Great start on the losses. Keep coming back!

I’m down a total of 5 lbs in a week and now only 3.5 from the 50 lb board too. My goal is to sign it by New Years Eve. I might make it earlier but I’m getting close to my TOM and it seems like my home scale is not moving again.

I’m starting to pack some clothes away too and looking forward to getting rid of more. My proportions are such right now that pants fit in the waist and they are bagging out A LOT in the rear. It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was complaining my clothes were not fitting differently! I can’t wait until the waste catches up with other areas so I can find pants that fit better.

Hello everyone! I joined MRC in October for the second time. The first time (2 years ago) I didnt get passed Thanksgiving and I just couldn't get back in the groove, but this time I made it and I'm in it to win it! All of you have such great advice. So far in 2 months I'm down 29lbs. I'm so glad I have found this forum, I think it really helps!

Welcome Jennifer! THis is a great support for the program.

Hang tough and you can do it!

Okay...okay, short of sounding like a brat...I'm one of those teachers that says........Yeahhhh....the hoilday break is here:carrot:And...I'm not ashamed to say I have 3 whole weeks.:carrot:...on the other hand...here comes the family...not the "re-do's"...actually...a mere 30 family members to split between my mom's and my house for two weeks...yippee!!
Okay...selfishly, I haven't read what I've missed this week...but...I know we must have some new friends, WELCOME...and Denise, you've added a darling family picture...and yet...mine is missing! Okay, really, we'll see what the holidays bring, maybe I'll be brave enough to add mine...now...my "appreciate that you have a center" comment!
I have felt a bit guilty...ordering from "other places" for my products. So, I ordered from my center. Well, I tried, anyway. I won't go into it...but, regardless of why...and the difficulties with communication...three weeks later...it still hasn't arrived! I got an explanation...but [I]really[? I guess my point here is...as expensive as it is...appreciate that you can walk in and get exactly...or almost what you want...and the immediate verbal support is SO IMPORTANT!!! I still find it so rediculous that there isn't a MCR center in San Diego. Like ALL the other weight conscious programs aren't already here. Hmmm...if I only had the finances to open a center! :) Bottom line, take care of yourselves...protect your contract...but, continue to refer to the "other threads" about ordering your products!! ;)

Wow Rocky...your pics are AMAZING!!! I am amazed at the "carrie's
continuing showing up. :) Right Cari? :)

Ok, so I made the cheesecake last night and had 1/4 of it (one serving) for breakfast this morning. I think I liked it much better in batter form than cheesecake form. It was a little too gelatin-ish for me, and the crust was gross. Next time I'm going to do crustless, a bit less lemon juice and maybe 1/2 the amount of gelatin. I would much rather it be less firm than feel like a Jell-O Jiggler! It definitely fills you up like a huge slice of cheesecake does...I had a hard time finishing it.

I messed up today and went overboard on the creamies (as in, I had 2.5). We are in the midst of a snow storm (still) and running out of food options. Double Chocolate Pudding HNS was the only thing standing between me and making fudge, so I went with the HNS. I'm sure the scales will tell on me when I weigh in next week, but I'll try not to misstep again.

In a strange way I really like how limited this diet is. There is soooo little room for error or bad choices while OP.

I'm having a heck of a time remembering to take my supplements. I even set my cell phone alarm, but I click it off and then forget, it's ridiculous!

I love this observation! You are so right and that is what makes stabilization a little scary. You are so used to the same menu that adding in choices is a bit unnerving.:)

A 5 lb. week is awesome!!! You'll definitely hit 50 by New Year's at that pace! It's funny but it sounds like you are exactly the opposite body type from me. Everything gaps at my waist and is tight through the hips and thighs. I don't think I'll ever be able to say that my pants are baggy in the rear :) But that has nothing to do with my size. It was the same way when I was only 135 lbs.

This made me laugh because I can relate to it! I have also "cheated" by having two creamies in a day. I doubt you'll see any gain from that--it's only, what, 90 calories? I had a weak moment at Halloween when all I could think about was the leftover candy in the other room. I was about to give in, but decided to have a chocolate mint meal bar instead, and told myself if I still had to have real candy after that then I would. The meal bar took care of my craving and I made my husband hide the real candy in the garage. When I confessed my sin to the counselor, she said, hey--it's 150 calories. If it keeps you from going over the edge in a really bad way, then don't sweat it.
