Thanks! I was hoping the same. I had the unsweetened for 2 days I guess we'll see if it made any difference or not! I haven't even had a minute to walk upstairs and see what the scale did while we were gone!

I've never heard that before.....sounds like a sales pitch to me. I know people will say that you optimize your weight loss by drinking the max amount but I've never heard anyone say you could average 5 lbs. a week. I drank 4 or 5 my first few months and I've averaged about 2.5-3lbs. the whole time and all I took was 2 flaxseed pills with every meal and a multi-vit. I wanted to get by with as little expense as possible. I just recently started phentratrim to see if it would boost my loss a little but have not noticed any difference yet. I've been taking it about 10 days now. I won't buy anymore if I don't start seeing my average go up.

Welcome to the board btw if I haven't told you already :)

I was debating the whole phentratrim also! I've been on the hoodia since I've started but heading towards the end and I'm wondering if I can do it without it or not. I hate to mess anything up if it really is helping!

Congrats. Hope I can get there. Can you tell me a little about your progress. I am started at 234 and until recently never felt like I would get to my goal of 180. Doesn't it feel great to be able to find clothes. It is hard enough finding tall, but big and tall. geez. How do you feel at your current wt. Thanks everyone for all the info on this site it really helps new people who want to hear from vets.

You will get there! It is a great journey but it is doable with this program. I'm always amazed when I walk in and step on that scale and have lost more weight. I love where I'm at right now! I am in debate about adding on 10 more weeks and going for another 10 -15 lbs but I'm still not sure. My favorite place for talls is New york and Co. You can order them online. They go up to size 18. But I'm officially in their 14's now! I'm not sure the last time I was in a 12 and probably wouldn't believe it if I got there! I decided I just need to get thru the next week then I'll make a decision.

Good luck with your journey.

I think the issue with unsweetened applesauce (I asked about it because I actually really really like it) is that the apples are cooked and they want us eating fresh fruit. I'm guessing that the cooking process causes the fruit to lose something, or brings out natural sugars, or something like that.

We had our Christmas party Saturday and I drank. I paid for it *dearly* on the scales. I honestly didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but I was up 2.5 pounds on my home scale this morning. I'm sure most of that is water, but still, I'm trying not to get discouraged and am back on track. We are still snowed in and I am running short on diet food :(

I am over my plateu. I lost 3 lbs at my WI yest. Yah!!! It is only 8 lbs in 17 days but I am happy. I am so scared. I start my Xmas baking tommorow and I don't want to munch. Everyone always wants my baked goods but this year I am putting it to a minimum. I am only baking things I can not eat as I go. Like cakes and pies. I will not make any cookies this year. I am making carmel corn but I am packaging it up immed and sealing the containers. The kids like to help so I bought pretzel rods and chocolate to dip them in and decorations. I don't care for them too much so that way I won't eat it. I have planned out what my cheats will be on Xmas day and that is the end NO LEFTOVERS!!!!!

HELP!! I totally fell off the wagon :( I am usually super super good at dieting, but we have been snowed in for 10 days, my car is buried, I'm running out of healthy food again AND our power was out all day today. I had an HNS for breakfast, but ate snack food all day because that was what was available and didn't need to be cooked! We are about to have a pretty sad Christmas (we are getting 8 more inches of snow tonight and tomorrow, and Portland simply is NOT equipped to deal with it so everyone is housebound) because no ones flights were able to come in, and no one can even drive anywhere. I'm so mad at myself, but dieting is soooooo the lowest thing on my priority list right now. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

OMG! I totally know the feeling! I went out the other night w/ my friends and was their sober driver (I feel neglectful for not hanging out, so I am starting to go out and be sober at bars...not that fun btw!) and we stopped @ Taco Bell for their drunken munchies. I weighed myself the next morning and I swear I gained a pound just from smelling the dang Taco Bell! I ate excellent that day. Oh well, we're going to do it! And great job on not giving into the temptation! Stay strong!!

Hey, I am also on my second time around on the MRC diet. I maintained my weight for a few years, but thro difficult times I turned to food. I have been struggling alot this time tho. I am trying to stay focused but it is very hard. But I have already found motivation that I need to get thro the day. We can do it!

:D

Weird b/c even with that I still lost 2 lbs in 4 days but wondering do any of the rest of you eat them or do your counselors tell you the same thing.

Tina

I thought you could eat any bread as long as it was less than 60 calories worth.

I started MRC about 3 weeks ago and I have lost 10lbs which is good considering I have "cheated" many times and I finally decided this week that I am tired of "cheating" myself and I am going to stick with the program. Since Monday I have lost 3lbs so hopefully 3lb's every 3 days will become a habbit.

Hi, everyone, I've been reading this thread for a few weeks now, and Phew!!...I can't believe I'm actually at the end. You have all been a big inspiration for me, and I want to thank you.:) I'm new to the diet. I joined last week ending preconditioning with a 6 lb. weight loss. :carrot:My center honked a horn and put me in the running for a prize. I won it; it's a hot air balloon ride. lol I started my first day yesterday (am chock full of pills) and have a weigh in later this morning. The only problem I've had is with the flax oil. I can't take it. I've knocked it down to one before every meal and still have severe intestinal issues. :o I'm afraid to try even one a day. Hopefully, this won't harm my diet in any way.

Make sure you talk to them about this. Hopefully, they can come up with a solution for you. Good luck at weigh in!
