Woo Hoo! Congrats!

I just got one 2 days ago, and this morning and yesterday, I lost a pound each morning! So 2 pounds in 2 days! YEA!

All I can say is having the info right in front of me is SO helping me. I used to *think* I was keeping track of calories in and out (I was only mentally doing this in my head mind you), but I was WAY off in my assumptions! No more guessing anymore and wondering why I'm not progressing as I thought I should be. It's been SO eye opening, even though it's been only 2 days, I'm loving it!!

And you're right, it's keeping me WAY focused.
It's like having a little voice on my arm pushing me to do more.

Congrats on the great first week, Meeky!

I'm really loving this program. I've lost 8.6 lbs in the first 2 weeks, and the best part is that I haven't felt hungry or deprived. I'm just making better choices and getting more exercise in.

My friend and I are both doing the program. We're keeping each other on track by sending text messages and emails daily. I've put together a spreadsheet so we can keep up with what we're accomplishing

Default Is there...

I want a product that uses the same science of bodybugg sensewear etc. for just calories burned. I don't want anything with a monthly subscription and I can take care of calories in with a free website....Is there anything like that out there?

Thanks for reading!

You might try one of the heart rate monotors. they usually look like wrist watch but I think they are very bulky...

No. If you buy it from Amazon.com, you get the first 3 months for free. After that it automatically puts you on the $12.95/mo plan, or you can call them and have them change it to the $6.95/mo yearly plan. It does suck, but it's only a matter of time till someone else invents a product like this and they have to start competing against each other. :P

what is the monthly fee for? if you have the wrist band, does it show the same info(cals burned) than what you download into the program you pay for?

If you have the watch, it shows basically the same info (it can be 50 to 100 cals off a day, since the algorithms it uses are a little more simplified than the computer's), but I think you still have to upload the armband to the website at least once every 14 days or the memory will get full? I haven't tried that myself, but I think I read it somewhere.

So yeah, basically they force you into using the website, so that they can charge you a monthly fee. It's good business for them, but sucks for us. I'm convinced that someone will eventually come along with a similar product that doesn't charge a fee, so they'll be forced to compete. For now, though, I'm happy that something like this even exists, and I'm willing to pay what they're asking for it. As soon as something better comes along, though, I'll be switching.

I have the BB and have had it for 3 weeks now, so I still have 5 months and a week before I have to "pay" for the subscription, but since I'm now paying 39.95/month for WW it will be cheaper for me than what I'm now paying, so to me at least, it's well worth it.

I absolutely love that I am now in control, if I don't meet my goal of 1000 calorie deficit a day, I know why I didn't lose as much, it's so much simpler to me.

Don't get me wrong I like WW and it's easy and it works, but at the same time, it bothers me that I couldn't really judge how many calories I was eating or burning. The e-tools will give you points for activity but if you overestimate how hard you're working out then your points won't be correct.

I don't have the wrist display as I work at a computer so can download and look at my plan several times a day and just didn't have a need for it.

^ You can manually enter pounds lost on the go wear fit software, that I know!

Here's my question... why the arm?? I read some of you saying to wear it your leg for stationary biking, but what about wearing on calf for normal activities??

The only reason I'm asking is my flabby arm looks terrible with this thing on and I don't seem to have to many short sleeve shorts with longer sleeves. This past week I've been sweating in long sleeves! Silly I know but it's the little things to keep my esteem up, ya know?

Congrats on getting the GWF! I love mine. I haven't had it very long but so far so good.
Now granted I haven't ever officially kept track of my calories, but I was amazed how easy the food logging is! I've had no problems so far at all.
