thanks you all!!! willow
Oh how I want the wrist display! I have to wait due to lack of funds at the moment. I've heard that people that do have it like it a lot.

I don't eat out at all, and find the food logging really easy. You can enter recipes in manually if a search doesn't bring up the foods you're looking for. (And I've been surprised what has come up too, thinking it can't possbly be in there.)

BUT, I have nothing to compare it to becuase I have never used another tracking device on line.

I don't know anything about the wrist unit but I like the food logging it's pretty easy. I used WW etools before and this is easier to me.

Ok, random question: does anyone use a BB or GWF in a really hot climate... like Phoenix? It showed I was burning an insane amount of calories when I was outside the other day. I'm not sure if it's realistic or not. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks! So far I've lost a total of 11.6 for these past two weeks. Most of it came off the first week, but I figure I'm starting to gain muscle which is good

I'm 23 and I am currently maintaining a 1200 calorie diet. I try to go to the gym twice a day everyday, but that's not always the case lol. My favorite calorie roasting machine is the crosstrainer. I set that baby on a level 6 incline, put in my headphones and rock it out for an hour. I can at least burn 700 on that alone. This plus everyday activity seems to get me to my 3700 calorie burn goal each day for a deficit of 2500

I have had my Sensewear for a week now and lost 10 lbs between watching that and WW. I am addicted to this thing! I was keeping the display in my pocket but through reading different posts regarding these, I am now using it on my bra strap which is totally working for me.

I just ordered my daughter the GWF. I'm such a sucker, but oh well, I really want her to get healthy and she is but I think this will help her even more. She's been begging me to let her wear my bugg, but that wouldn't really work (for me) so now she'll have her own!

Have a good one all, I'm off to bed!

Hi guys..I have a question.
I just got my Gowear Fit last night and I'm not sure what to do about the calorie goal. It estimated based on my stats and the fact that I haven't lost weight in the past month that I'm eating a bit over 2000 calories a day. I know for a fact when I log I eat closer to 1500. Should I change the target to 1500? Does it matter?

The number I most pay attention to is my calorie deficit. As long as I reach a deficit of 1000 or more I feel I'm doing well.
After entering my info, they have my targets as: 3320 burn 2320 comsumed, with a 1000 calorie deficit.
I have been working out 2 hours a day and have yet to reach the 3320 burn! But my deficit has been over the 1000 mark each day, so I'm satisfied.

Like yesterday my stats were:
2813 burned, 1173 consumed, with a deficit of 1640. Good enough for me.
My focus is always on the deficit for the day.
I don't know if it supposed to work that way but it's working for me.

SWEET! I wish I could keep up with that pace!
I've been increasing my activity everyday since the beginning, so maybe I'll get there some day!

Congrats!

Haha, wow, you guys are amazing with some of these deficits!! I think the highest one I've ever had was 1,500, and that was a really unusual day. Congrats on being so determined, and remember to listen to your body and make sure you're getting enough solid nutrition to keep yourself healthy!

Oh, and here's another random GWF story... I started seeing a therapist a few months ago (I didn't get to 213 pounds by being secure and confident, that's for sure), and today I pointed out the armband to her (I don't think she'd noticed it, and we were talking about getting enough sleep). She was really excited, and wanted to know more about it so she can discuss it with her anorexic patients! Go figure. She thinks having a handle on the numbers will help them know how much they should eat, same as how it helps me. Except opposite.
