Just had my WI today I lost another 2lbs with having my TOM last week! So happy. I officially have hit the 30lbs of weight loss....kinda shocked. Thanks for everyone's ideas and help.

This is my last week on IP till my cruise. I am deciding what to do while on the cruise. I will either have 2 packets a day or 1 restricted a day. I will still take my vitamins. I dont want to gain alot of weight while I am away-that would be a waste of time but I do want to have fun. I leave Dec 17th. have to see if my bathing suit fits me!

Thanks Slipfree! I was surprised myself!

Congrats Luccilove on a fantastic wi!! You are going to have an amazing time on your cruise, have a great time, just be mindful. Don't forget your human and just save the indulgence for something you truly want! I know on my last cruise, they had a desert that they offered one night. I was able to get it every single night I was there and it was soooooooo worth it! How many ports do you have? Keep in mind of all the walking, maybe do some walking on the boat too. Oh, by the way, can you pack me in your suit case please

airportchick11--Glad u are starting to feel better.

I am going to think of you guys and how much the $$$ IP costs me everytime I want to really just pig out on the trip. I will pick and choose what I want to indulge in - my hubby is very supportive so I am sure he will keep and eye on me.

We go to San Juan St Martin and St Thomas 3 days at sea.

Of course u can hide in my suitcase!!!

aghhhh I am so jealous!! We did a cruise out of San Juan and it was wonderful!! I would give anything to get out of dodge right now!

I think you will find a good balance. Sure you may over indulge on a meal, just keep it tight for the next few. Pay attention to how you FEEL when you do indulge. Sometimes remembering that feeling helps. I would rather have a little bit of everything than a stuffed night of one thing. You've got this! You can go on vacation and at least maintain if not lose! You may surprise yourself. The food isn't going to make the memory, there is so much more to the vacation. I have complete faith in you!

Default Dinner tonight - Experiment

So this is what's in the oven tonight:

Meatloaf Stuffed Peppers
Recipe Serves 2

Ingredients:
12 oz of lean ground turkey
1/4 cup (1.2oz) finely diced asparagus
1/4 cup (1.3oz) finely diced bell pepper
1/4 cup (0.9oz) finely diced celery
1/4 cup (0.9oz) finely diced mushroom
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon of ideal salt (or sea salt if you can't use the Ideal Salt)
dash of pepper
Garlic Herb Seasoning (McCormicks Salt Free Seasoning Blend)
2 large green bell peppers

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 375 ̊
  2. Crumble the ground turkey into a mixing bowl, add finely diced veggies into the mixing bowl, add the salt, pepper and eggs.
  3. Mix all together don’t mash it tightly though just mix, set aside
  4. Split the peppers from top to bottom making 4 halves
  5. Divide the meat mixture between the 4 halves
  6. Place in a baking dish and cover with foil bake for 45 minutes at 375 ̊
  7. Uncover the last ten minutes so the tops will brown up

I'm serving it with 1/2 cup (2.7oz) of zucchini fries since the peppers weighed in at 1/2 cup of pepper each.

I'll let you know how it turns out!

Hi friends, it's been a hectic weekend and my kids had a snow day today which is why I haven't posted. I hope you're all having a great day. I will be back soon to update and catch up on reading posts.

Hello everyone. Had a crappy afternoon and can't stop thinking about food. Sipping my black coffee and reading all your inspiring posts is keeping me sane. Thanks for being here.

Steph,

I was totally irritated by the food in the grocery store today! Usually I just grab my veggies and meat in a determined get in-get out fashion, but the lines were long and there was junk food everywhere!! Even the deli stuff was calling my name. But I made it out.

Why was your afternoon so bad? Need to vent?

Hey Slipfree,

Nothing too much to vent. Just felt that a co-worker wasn't as helpful as she could have been and as a result I felt that I maybe didn't do the right thing with one of my patients. I had planned to finish my Christmas shopping after work and just felt too grouchy and tired to do it. The roads were bad and someone lost their life in our city today as a result. I am also PMSing so just feeling a bit down. Thanks for asking and I'm just glad to be home now.

Steph, I have had a few of those days recently. I had to tell myself that it is NOT the food and try to figure out what was going on. For some reason, I associate eating whatever you want as "normal". I've never been that kind of person who could eat what they want and I have certainly never been called "normal"

Are the crispy vanilla squares discontinued? They look like rice crispies. My clinic didnt have them and they havent for a while. I just tried one and they good. Got it from a clinic in MASS when I was visiting the folks. I am still waiting for the garlic soy crisps to come back. So easy to take with me.

Luccilove,

I just tried a vanilla crisp today, my clinic said they were back for a limited time. Also, they said to stop ordering soy crisp until they notify us. I agree that they need some on-the-go unrestricted products.
