Airportchick,
Sorry you're sick but good for you on the weight loss over the holiday.

It's monday and I'm ready to try my best to be OP again. I'm not going for my
WI tomorrow because I know I didn't lose this week. But I'm looking forward to a good WI next week.

I have to say again how much I like this group. Thank you all for being kind and supportive. When I go off plan I'm my own worst critic and I don't need anyone else getting on my case. You are all wonderful!

Have a great day everyone.

I will 2nd that ---- this group is great and it is appreciated.

Just came back from my WI. Lost 4.2 lbs. So surprised and excited. I did cheat 3xs. Thanksgiving Day, and small times 2 other days. I am down 28lbs total.

Now I have to figure out what I will do for when I go on a cruise in mid Dec. Working w my coach with this.

We leave from Miami and go to San Juan, St Thomas, St Martin. We are going on the new ship the Celebrity Reflection. We have been on many cruises...they are my favorite vacation.

My clinic said there is a huge back order on the Garlic Soy Chips. Can you get them at your place? Just wondering.

Hi everyone,

I am so tired today! Weighed in for 20 by Christmas and the scale said 205! 6 pounds to Onederland!

Luccilove, fantastic Weigh In! There was someone on the daily chat that did a cruise and stayed OP. Don't know that I could do that.

Airportchick, how long are you at your parents? Way to stay OP! Hope that you are feeling better soon. I would ask your parents to put the tempting goody out of sight. Sweets are not bothering me right now, but I was feeling wistful about not having the same type of fun over this past weekend. Wine, eating what I want when out to dinner. Oh well, next year.

Wantanewme, glad that you started right back up. I think changing the critical voice in our heads is vital to keeping the weight off. Long term, this is not about perfection. We are going to have struggles with food choices for the rest of our lives.

I have a lot of holiday plans during the next 3 weeks and I know that I will handle them OP. My inner brat is just irritated, pouty and wants to stay home. Anyone else feeling this way?

How awesome! I went to St Thomas this past summer. It was a great trip. Do you know how long you'll be at port? If its for a whole day St John is a 20 minute ferry ride away and so beautiful.
Either way I'm sure it'll be amazing.

I got the garlic soy chips around 3 weeks ago. Not sure if they're back ordered right now or not.

I did not go on the cruise yet. I leave Dec 17th. Not staying on plan just trying to figure out how I should handle it.

No soy chips here in CT, but they did have the lemon wafers.

I totally feel this way. I am in big trouble this week with going off plan on Saturday night at my Christmas party and eating a rib eye steak last night. Went over to the in-laws yesterday to make Christmas cookies and managed to stay away from them which is a victory in itself but my well-meaning FIL bought rib eyes and veggies for supper. My DH told him I could have steak and veggies but I should have specified which cut. Happened to read an article in a local paper today about different cuts of beef and rib eyes are killer compared to the strip loin we're allowed on IP. I did my best to trim as much fat as I could but was up 1lb on the scale today! FML.

Steph, it will be okay. You planned for your Christmas party since the beginning. My advice stay off the scale until your official WI.

It is just easier to control food at your own house for sure. I am hoping that The inner brat is out because of TOM. Feels like pms. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Thanks Slipfree. I always beat myself up about these things. It's so hard to stay off that stinkin' scale! Especially when you want to see how these slip ups affect things. Going off plan really screwed my brain up - the first thought I had the next morning upon waking was of the flavored Scouts popcorn that I had ordered before I even started IP - it had been delivered the day before. As soon as I ate "bad" food, my brain continued to try to sabotage me!

That is exactly why I am afraid to go off plan! I am so amazed that people can just jump right back on, that has not been my past experience. But this time is different- we are in it for the long haul. You just have remember you are just craving and that it will stop in a few days. Every day we are on this plan, we are making a conscious choice to make our bodies healthier and our selves happier. Fake it until you make it- use our strategies (hot tea, going to bed earlier, walk into a party with a coffee, eat before we go anywhere. Focus on the people and the real reason for the holidays. Seek the joy in the success that we have had so far. We've got this!

Lots of great posts. Some challenges, some slips, some words of wisdom to be sure. My sweet tooth is definitely screaming but I am doing my best to ignore ignore ignore. Not only will Christmas be a challenge but we are going to San Diego the first two weeks of January and I am thinking that will bring its own challenges. We have rented a house so it will be easier than eating out 24-7 but its still holiday and who is not tempted to indulge.

This weeks weigh in was happy news with 1.8 down but oddly enough my fat is shifting around. Underarm and thigh slightly larger than last week so maybe its shifting. Bicep is actually looking a bit loose and flabby so I think its time to start the pushups!

I managed to stay OP on Thanksgiving but on Saturday night went to friends house to watch a college game. There was absolutely nothing there that I could have to eat. My Bf was taunting me to just let myself go and live a little. I was really frustrated because nobody seems to understand how hard it is to diet and stay OP. If someone has never struggled with weight they seem to make light of your struggled. I ate off protocol and gained two of the pounds I lost last week. It is so disappointing to me. I am so dedicated to IP and can easily stay Op when there are no events or other people around. It seems so ridiculous to have to lose 2 pounds I already struggled to lose last week. Oh well, back in the saddle again.
