Welcome to the IPMWPSU (IP members who pee standing up)

I would say 36 pounds since the 1st of the year is pretty darn good!

Now the men are reminiscing about military days and posting pics. Ha, I was in the combat arms for 14 years and was very familiar with those duce and a half’s. Multi-fuel if I remember correctly. Funny about the digital age, I think if I have 14 pictures of me in uniform I would be surprised. We had to have a camara, and develop film. Much more expensive and a pain to do. I don’t think you find that these type of conversations on the women’s threads!

Yep it's a multi-fuel. Funny how so many former military men are needing to lose weight. Of course there were still quite a few that needed to when I was on active duty (myself included).

I'm trying to recruit more for this thread. Someone on the daily said their husband was joining and I told her to send him over and I'm pushing my brother to start. I think we need a couple dozen at least to liven things up.

Hey fellas! Welcome to all the new guys. Had my WI today and down another 3.5 lbs. Not my 5 lb per week average I had, but I will certainly take it. My goal when starting was to be between 240-245 by the time I took my vacation to Kay Biscayne next month...well, I have achieved that goal and now my new goal is to be around 235, which should be doable.

You guys lost me with all the military talk...but certainly not the barb-b-que talk!!! My mouth is watering thinking of Salt Lick right now!!!! I actually got married at the Salt Lick...not in the restaurant area, but across the creek at their big pavilion...outside under the Pecan Trees. Who could ask for more...a beautiful bride...5 kegs and all the wine you could drink...and an unlimited supply of Salt Lick BBQ!!!

[QUOTE=M35A2;4639354]I'd like to but have never found one. It's a M35A2 (hence my username) Deuce and a Half in case you run across one.

Welcome to all our returning IPers and newbies to the "man" thread!! Hey M35A2, I think AFV Club makes a model of one of your machines:

http://en.hobbyfan.com.tw/product/product_searchP.asp

I forgot to check if we had it in stock but I'll let you know tomorrow.

Heading out on vacation on March 9th with some trepidation! A trip on a cruise ship doesn't mix too well with dieting. This is likely gonna be a 9 day mini-break but I'm determined to get back on the horse when I get back and get to my goal!!

P.S: AFV/Hobby Fan has a pretty lousy website. Convert to English (top corner) and search M35A2 (left side). Yours likely doesn't have the 50cal or whatever is strapped to the top of it!

I did find a couple that I'm interested in (including the M35A2). Sent you a PM.

Thanks,

Mark

WI last night, and although I am the slowest loser of the group that started around the Holidays or shortly thereafter I am ecstatic. 30 pounds in 50 days! It has a nice ring to it, 30 pounds in 50 days. The wife has lost 24 pounds in 50 days! Should be able to put those words to a Country and Western Song…

Hey Men, I am new here and glad to see it's not just a forum full of hens cackling. I had my 3rd WI this week, fighting though a cold and still lost a good chunk. I was really unmotivated...probably the meds and codine cough syrup but now I got my mind right and back on track. To be perfectly honest, this 23 days without a frosty beer is driving me nuts....the **** with food, im craving a stiff drink! Can't wait 'till I reach my goal!

Congrats on the milestone! If I hit 30 in 50 I'll be thrilled.

Welcome, but I should warn you, some of those cackling hens read this forum. Some of them are the best support and advice out here. So, just a small word to the wise.

Congratulations to everyone on their losses, no matter the number, a loss is a loss! It's fun and exciting to read about everyone's accomplishments. I remember, not too long ago, when I was hitting the program pretty hard, anxiously waiting for my next WI to see my progress. Maintenance/Phase 4 has been going well. I've only been above my self-induced 5lb fluctuation limit a couple of times since November. It's amazing how this program works. If I slip and my one Tread Day turns into two treat days, jumping back into Phase 1 knocks those extra pounds right off.

Remembering the old military days....****, I'm still living them. Tomorrow afternoon I get to drive about 30 minutes in the opposite direction of where I have drill to only get on a buss and ride 3 1/2 hours to drill. Talk about drive ya nuts. I wish I could drive the buss, would make it a little better.

In other news.....lol......I've been studying for a SQL Server 2008 certification exam. I take it at 1pm today. This will be my third attempt at the test. I sure have a difficult time studying/remembering information that I really don't use. But, I will pass it this time! Then on to test two to get the certification. I can get this done before heading out to Cuba in June.

Have a great day everyone, and weekend if I'm not able to check in during drill this weekend.

Welcome bbmains! Heed JW's advice...those cackling hens lurk here and will whip everyone into shape...especially WUV! I hear you on the frosty beverages...my buddies have just been itching for me to crack...it get easier as you start watching the weight melt off though. Noticed you are from my original neck of the woods! I grew up in Kerrville and spent quite a bit of time in Fred. back in the day.

Good luck! Third time is a charm right???

On a separate note...I picked up a box of the rotini yesterday at WI and I am so glad I did. I don't much care for any of the soups, so I figured I'd give the rotini a shot. Boiled it up and cooled it off...sliced up some squash, bell pepper and cucumber and put in there with some WF Italian dressing...pretty damn good. Today, instead of the dressing, i used some EVOO, lemon juice, salt/pepper and it was just as good. If anyone is looking to mix some things up, give the rotini a shot!

That ring above the driver was a joke. That was someone paying off somebody to get the military contract. If you were moving and trying to shoot it had to be on a very flat surface. When firing those very hot shell casing would poor down on the driver if he was even there. The only thing I could think that it would be used for if you were out in the open and being dived bombed by some aircraft. The 60cal did not mount on that ring. Of course it been 30 years since I was around that stuff, I could be full of poop.

No that's a pretty good description of the M66 Ring Mount. I'd like to have one just for show but a good one runs around $2500 complete and that's just the mount. If you want a dummy M2 .50 cal to go with it you're talking another $2k or better. I only paid $1500 for the truck so can't see dropping another $5k or so just for a prop.

Any of you dudes tried Raspberry Ketones?

I picked some up last week and have been taking 2/day for about a week and a half. They are really expensive and I still can't figure if they are working. The idea is that you have less of a craving for food. I'll keep going on what I have but I doubt I'll get any more.

I actually tried them but the played hinky with my BP and heart rate (HR jumped from resting 65 to about 115) so kind of spooked me from using them.
