Scorbett, About a month ago I was thinking about doing the same thing. My coach and my mom helped me change my mind. I am down to the last 15 now and I think it might be hard for me to get back OP after Christmas. If anyone can do it though it is you. We will support you no matter what you decide.

I know, it's what I love about you guys I think my brain knows I'll probably push through, especially since I keep putting off making a firm decision till the end of the month. I slid into a dress tonight that I haven't been able to wear since I got pregnant with my older boy 6 years ago. If that isn't motivation (and a sign that I'm a terrible pack rat) I don't know what is!!!

Wouldn't it be great if we had this kind of support in all areas of our lives?!! For example, I was trying to get a little girl who has Downs syndrome to do some math today and she wasn't thrilled with the idea. She tells me, "Listen here little missy! You will not get any girl scout cookies this year!" I could have used a little pep talk then! But I kept telling myself, oh you just wait girlie, I will be on maintenance by February so I WILL get some girl scout cookies! I am tired and NEED to go to bed.

S/C/G: size 18 to 8...75 pounds gone

Hey ladies....I am 100% and today will be day 8 at 100%.

I lost 80 pounds in 2010 doing IP 100%, the first 60 pounds in less than 4 months and I did only IP products...not a bite, lick, or taste off plan.

The last 20 came off with breaks and using alternatives over the course of 4 more months (I had 3 week long vacations planned and several extended weekends)

I was doing great in maintenance (this is the 18th month of maintenance), but I let 5 turn to 10 turn to 15 to 20...OMG! I kept trying exercise, calorie counting, alternatives, etc. I could not drop the weight (seems to be a pattern with a ton of ladies I stay in contact with from 2010 and 2011 on Facebook).

So here I am 100% IP and down 10 of those pounds already!

I am fully committed to 100% IP until Thanksgiving...I am about 9 pounds above my goal weight and then going for a 5-10 pound cushion after that. Hoping to hit goal weight by Thanksgiving and then lose the cushion by Christmas or by my cruise in February.

It feels so good after so long to be back at it 100%..something clicked in my head and I just missed feeling skinny and wearing a size 6 (started at an 18).

I guess the difference in my shape was noticeable even after a week - a few people were saying "boy you're teeny now!" I do NOT feel teeny - but I'll take the compliment!! A few were saying that every time they come into work they almost don't recognize me

still tossing around the idea of phasing off for the holidays. I am confident that I COULD stay 100% on phase 1 straight through - but this has been a really tough year for my family and we are really making an effort to relax and enjoy each other through the holidays. I definitely don't NEED to have certain foods or drink to enjoy my family time - but the idea of planning "fun" days around holiday celebrations and just being able to let loose is appealing. I haven't made any firm decisions yet, going to see where my losses stand at the end of the month and go from there.
When I did the diet originally...I started in September....I felt no temptation at Thanksgiving it was fine...ate turkey and some veggies and it was no biggie...I was so focused and dropping daily so no desire.

For Christmas...hubby and I flew to Vegas...this was tough....I packet a medium size cooler in my checked luggage and stayed 100% on plan (sort-of)....I had a RTD vanilla shake everyday for breakfast with a green tea and we walked 4 miles.....then for lunch I ate a packet, but rarely had my veggies (was having trouble finding suitable choices at lunch without going to a buffet and spending a ton)...then dinner I ate meat and veggie and grilled every waiter about the contents, but then I drank 3 glasses of wine after dinner (I did not have my restricted). I did this 2 days and then 2 days no wine, and then 2 more days...came home down about 5 pounds.

Two weeks later I lost focus and stopped my clinic and went alternatives and then it took me 4 months to lose another 20 pounds (I had lost 60 in just under 4 months).

Moral...stick to the plan as long as you can....when you lose the weight that feeling is more amazing than any food or beverage...even better the non-stop compliments that you get at all the family functions.

YOu can do this...it is so worth it.

I am rebooting to get back to my goal, because I truely miss the feeling of size 6 and there is no amount of food or drink that can replace that.

I have a similar story about Atkins. I lost 100 and was "just going to work on maintaining" before losing the last 25-35.

That was in 2004

I weighed 175. In those 8 years, I gained 85 lbs. That isn't maintenance and no matter how many times I tried, I couldn't get myself back on the plan for more than a few days.

I've been on IP Phase 1 since July 30 (I often say Aug 1 for clarity, since it was the first week of August). I've lost 30-or so pounds (weigh tomorrow).

I'm not going off P1 til I reach goal and when I get to 150, I'll decide if that it's truly my goal. I've seen the stories of others and I know my own history. No repeating history. Not for me. I've been given a second chance at health and wellness and I'm embracing it.

I'm sure I'll always have food issues. My husband had a pint of Ben & Jerry's in the freezer that he ate from on FOUR separate occasions (not one sitting! Isn't a pint a SERVING ????) I know I don't need to hurt my chances by going off-plan early for ANY occasion.

Scorbett- I bet you didn't think your post about phasing off for the holidays would get so many replies. =)

I agree with WUV and everyone else. You are so close to goal, and reaching goal weight for the new year would be awesome! Your resolution could be to maintain the weight loss instead of resolving to lose the last lbs.

So I just requested a couple of yoga videos from the library! I can't really afford to pay for classes right now and there was a pretty good selection from our library network. I was a dancer for MANY years so the lack of flexibility in my body is driving me nuts! The videos I picked out were all gentle beginner yoga, just something to get my muscles stretching and get my core working again. Can't wait till they show up!
