Several weeks ago there was a conversation going on how people would compliment a successful IPer on her hair - even though her hair hadn't changed but rather her size had shrunk. I'm happy to report that someone today told me how great my hair looks! Bingo! I'll take it!!!
That happened to me!!! Still does!!! Tons of compliments on my hair!!! LMAO. I even said to one person, "I think it's the 61 pounds I've lost my hair hasn't changed a whole lot". I love the look in their face.

Does anyone feel that they are losing inches faster than weight? My coach said I was losing more inches per pound than others (I am losing around 2 pounds per week and some lose 4 or 5). I'm not complaining (because I know everyone loses differently), just curious.

I love what you said to this person....so cute...and looking at your pics your hair is the same in all of them...its the face that is different.
I remember going through that (although...the compliments are far and few now...after 18 months in maintenance and another 3-4 close to goal...) my husband told me I would have trouble when that happened and it is hard. I have spent my entire adult life (around 22 years) feeling awful and big everytime I walked into a room. That is why I am on this thread...back to basics....I need to keep every last pound OFF!
Hey ladies....I am 100% and today will be day 8 at 100%.
I lost 80 pounds in 2010 doing IP 100%, the first 60 pounds in less than 4 months and I did only IP products...not a bite, lick, or taste off plan.
The last 20 came off with breaks and using alternatives over the course of 4 more months (I had 3 week long vacations planned and several extended weekends)
I was doing great in maintenance (this is the 18th month of maintenance), but I let 5 turn to 10 turn to 15 to 20...OMG! I kept trying exercise, calorie counting, alternatives, etc. I could not drop the weight (seems to be a pattern with a ton of ladies I stay in contact with from 2010 and 2011 on Facebook).
So here I am 100% IP and down 10 of those pounds already!
I am fully committed to 100% IP until Thanksgiving...I am about 9 pounds above my goal weight and then going for a 5-10 pound cushion after that. Hoping to hit goal weight by Thanksgiving and then lose the cushion by Christmas or by my cruise in February.
It feels so good after so long to be back at it 100%..something clicked in my head and I just missed feeling skinny and wearing a size 6 (started at an 18).
That's awesome that you are staying on track after 18 months, what an inspiration you are.
A part of me is worried, a huge part of me is worried about maintainence.
There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with me. I am addicted to the FOOD & DRINK section on Pinterest. Serious food porn and I have to stop. GAK!

HA! I like to torture myself also with Pinterest food pics & some food network shows. Diners, Drive-ins and Dives is my weekend go to, but for some reason I started watching Paula Deen with my daughter during the week nights. Her recipes are the complete opposite of IP. There is no way to modify them to be IP friendly.

Why do we torture ourselves? LOL!

I started Vol 14 at the beginning of the month, it has taken us ONLY 16 or less days to have almost 500 post....how AMAZING is that??.....We have a wonderful group of people all with the SAME goal in mind going at it in different ways but we all have the same in mind...getting HEALTHY and MAKING OUR GOALS.
I am a former lapband patient who had to have it removed 2 years ago. Ive gained 19 lbs since having it removed (for abusing it) but the good news is I just started IP 10.3.12 and have already lost 9 lbs.
came to this site for support on those days I feel like overeating. I am finding
it as a source of comfort so thank you all for that.
Can you tell me ...what is this "alternative IP" all about?
and what is NASHUA?
