Man...I disappear for a few days and people are talking INK, losing weight left and right...new shorts and jeans for JW (Looking awesome bro)...H is down to disappearing weight...Jamie stalled becasue he is hanging on to like 20 gallons water, haha...look at my loss 2-3 weeks ago...2 lbs 1 week, 3 the next...just body adjusting bro.

Wuv, ALWAYS a pleasure to read your posts...you are an inspiration to us all and OUCH you look great!

I posted up a jerky recipe on another thread...gonna post it here too...excelent for football games etc...I go by finished weight with this and use as a protein snack. I try to keep to 2 strips of 1 oz each....and I do reduce dinner meat by that OR I skip my late night shake (don't yell at me for this Wuv!)...anyway, heres the recipe:

Heres an oven recipe....reduce recipe to make the amount you want....
BEEF JERKY
Ingredients

4 pounds round steak
4 tablespoons onion powder
1 1/3 teaspoons black pepper
1 1/3 teaspoons garlic powder
2 pinches salt
1 teaspoon dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Liquid smoke optional and to taste
Directions

TRIM ALL VISIBLE FAT and Cut meat into strips no thicker than 1/4 inch. In a large bowl, mix together onion powder, pepper, garlic powder, salt and Italian seasoning. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and pepper sauce. Place meat into a container, and combine with marinade. Cover, and refrigerate 24 hours.
Place oven rack on the highest level. Place aluminum foil on bottom of oven to catch drips. Preheat oven to 150 degrees F (65 degrees C).
Insert round toothpicks through the tops of the strips of meat, and hang them from the oven rack. Bake in preheated oven for 4 hours, or until dried to desired consistency.

...I like to add other spices to get a hotter finish...have fun! I turn the heat up to 170 and cracked the oven door to exhaust the moisture. Watch your time, mine finished 3.5 hours...don't over cook. Should bend not snap. Good stuff!
Jake

Oh yeah...I add in cumin, chile powder, paprika and cayenne to mine...use low sodium soy sauce...and when I do this I skip the italian dressing mix. I also use more hot pepper (dried)...I like HOT!

I will work on Ink designs after I get caught up on things...few weeks...we can all discuss who wants what then! Trying to catch up on work, house, yard, etc and still get some Harley-Time in with the wife. She is like 115lbs and has been since we met 20-something years ago, so always afraid she will fly off the bike on those Adirondack Mountain roads! haha!

I was at Walmart yesterday and I saw all the Halloween candy. I kinda chuckled to myself because I realized that this is the first year I won't have to go halloween candy shopping several times because I ate it all.

I'm going to saw money and feel way better about myself instead. I'll feel even better if I can lose 20-30 lbs by then too.

Loving' IP!!

Trip D: I understand the whole candy thing...really! Being an Italian family, we give Italian home made candy and homemade Italian pastries...YES, you read that right! You cannot believe the cooking, baking etc that goes on here at Halloween...those kids line up for the stuff! Many of them come back later on also, for "seconds" and the parents all tell their kids to wait till they get home so THEY can have some too! haha...popular place here at Halloween! Of course this year, I will have to help make everything but can't touch a darn thing. OUCH!

Hey Jamie; 2lbs is awesome bro...congrats! Would not surprise me if you are retaining some water, I mean you drink a truck load of the stuff every day! I feel like I am drowning just to get to my 80 ounce a day...and I drink nothing else but the water. Also, you do have to give your body a chance to adjust...its actually a "good thing" when we have slow weeks...helps the "jelly fat" condense and skin to adjust and tighten to the lack of fat beneath it. I even stopped weighing every day...was making me nuts! Now I wait till my weigh-in so only once a week, and the scale says what it says and I move on. I figure weigh-in is not so important to me anymore....and does not mean so much as just accepting that this is how I eat for at least another month and a half anyway regardless of what that scale says. Since I began to look at it that way, I have been MUCH less stressed.

Gotta hit the butcher shop today...getting some Sirloin steaks and making a batch of Hot-N-Spicy Jerky...love that stuff! Marinate today and tomorrow into the oven...by tomorrow night I will be doing the Jerky-Dance of Joy!
Later gents
Jake

WOW, you got some big fingers!!!......on the days you workout have an extra packet and probably add a few more ounces of protein to your supper. Listen to your body, it will tell you what it needs. If you feel tired then add more protein
