Gibster.....I see we did start the same time. I was planning on being at goal by April when I started last Aug. But........yeah.....lots of buts. Hopefully I can get the job done this time. Hope you can too!

Darbs7...you look fantastic! I have been reading your posts and cheer you on.

Browneyes47.....welcome to "the other side"

I made it thru the day today! I just kept myself really busy. I had to laugh, I have a dog and a new one that someone dumped at our house recently. Usually when I go out into the garage, we have some peanuts in the shell and I help myself to a handful and share with the dogs. Today, I popped one into my mouth to crack it and then gave it straight to the dogs. They were surprised since they didn't have to wait for me to get my fill first. Lucky dogs.

I getting thru tonight without eating chocolate by sipping decaf peppermint tea from Buckingham Palace. Yum!

I've taken to just eating my raw veggies by themselves instead of cut up into a bowl of lettuce... then if I still want lettuce, I grab a handful of romaine & eat it plain, no dressing... so, maybe it's the preparation I'm tired of, not necessarily the veggies & lettuce...

Okay, maybe none of that was very important or interesting, but I just needed to get it off my chest!.. thanks for listening...

I am so glad you said that you're tired of salad, ME TOO! I've found myself just cutting up the veggies and throwing them in the bowl and eating them like finger food sans dressing.
Tonight I tried to finish off the veggies from lunch, but just couldn't make it through the bowl. I set the bowl on the floor and my lab finished them off for me. I swear she'll eat anything. I made myself a venison/beef burger and pigged out!
Thank God for Asian markets. The veggie variety is wonderful and so cheap!
I love the small seasoned seaweed sheets, I'm using them as a treat.

When I'm tired of salad I need to change my dressing. My latest is orange dreamcicle pomegranate dressing.

1/2 cup blood orange oil
1/2 cup pomegranate vinegar
2 dropperfulls of Valencia orange stevia
1/2 tsp almond extract
Sea salt and pepper

Suddenly I'm eating salad out the wazoo!

I was VERY tired of salad....but phase 2 has helped that a ton. Loving the meat on the salad.

Both you ladies could easily switch to phase 2....my loss is still going.

I will keep watching your progress. Maybe you will motivate me to phase off when you do!

Until then I am inching downwards, but verrrry slowly.
Phase 2 is addicting because I keep losing. I want to keep going, but then I want to stop too. I want the scale to be 10 pounds lower definately, but....well for now...I will stay with phase 2.

I saw 164.5 on the scale this morning. The lowest I ever remember weighing after high school was 164. I was living in Boulder, CO, at th time, walked 2 miles everyday, and hiked 8-10 miles every weekend. I was doing weight watchers, earned tons of activity points and never used them on food. I remember people making fun of me for counting out my baked tortilla chips (12=serving=3pts). My goal for today is to appreciate how EASY this diet is compared to that.

I am working from home today, then heading up to NY this afternoon for a conference tomorrow. I just hope that I survive the heat today and tomorrow. Wish me luck! At least the cold feeling that I always have with this diet will work to my advantage today. I'm staying at my favorite hotel (Andaz by Hyatt). They have a "design your own entree" option on the room service menu. You pick your protein, how it's cooked, the type of sauce, the two veggies... and they have fantastic IP options on the veggies. Why can't all hotels be like this?? You can also design your own salad, and they are happy to bring olive oil and white vinegar in separate tiny little (super cute) bowls...

DARBS -- when do you sleep? I just noticed that you are posting at 4:30am!

I have been sprinkling various no-sugar spice combinations on my salads to make them less boring. Check out penzeys.com... They have stores in most states now, I think. I love their Southwest Seasoning and the Crouton Seasoning. I've also been meaning to try their Florida Seasoned Pepper... I mix these with olive oil and aple cide vinegar and make various dressings...

congrats on the 164.5....I am still 164.8 so you got me.....today! But I feel a stall coming on...too much exercise.

So about that sleep thing....up at 3:30 am this morning...what a show I had DVR and then decided to post.

Went to bed at 7pm last night.

We had a kick butt workout yesterday with cardio and toning intervals in this intense heat....I bet I burned more than I ate yesterday just during that workout.

LOL, When I was on WW, I carried a mini scale in my purse so I could measure everything!

The Florida Pepper is GREAT!!! It smells so fresh and lemony. Nothing like the lemon pepper you can buy at the grocers!

Pxlkitty4....the hotel sounds wonderful and congrats on the 164.5. I checked out penzeys.com and I plan on doing some ordering from them.

Darbs7...I'm still going. I peeked at the scale today and saw 159.8 so that is even more reason to keep going.

Got a birthday celebration for my 25 year old son at my house tonight. He asked for chicken tacos and enchiladas so I plan on having the chicken on a large salad. Now for the homemade ice cream, I made some that has egg in it and I don't care for egg in my ice cream so I will be able to pass on that.

Everyone stay focused

Has anyone tried the MiO liquid? I just tried the sweeet tea flavor and it is yummy. Is it ok to use it? I've had it in my cupboard for sometime and just got it out to try.

Glad folks are finding Penzeys... They make life less boring. FYI -- I have emailed and told them at my local store to add a page with "sugar free" spice mixes listed. They have one for "salt free" already. If others request it, it might speed them up.

I was 165.2 this morning on the fancy hotel scale. Not complaining. Actually intrigued at how close it was to my home scale. I had coffee delivered by room service this morning and requested "a cereal bowl, spoon, and a side of steamed asparagus". I just wrote it on the door hanging card. They did it! I'm in love with this hotel.

congrats! you are getting so close!!!!

i made it down to 161 today. i'm hoping to be in the 150s next week!! once i get to 155 i get to go to phase II. 6 more lbs to go! at my rate, that will probably be 3 weeks. i was hoping to be there this week or next week, but my losses have been pretty slow lately. i am still losing lots of inches though, which is fantastic! stopped into forever 21 before my WI and bought a pair of size 30 jean shorts without trying them on. turns out that they are too big, but i'm going to wear them anyhow with a belt. i honestly have no idea what size pant i am right now. my waist is currently 28", so i probably should have bought a 28. i still just assume that i am bigger than i am, so i tend to go for larger clothing. i guess my lesson here is that i should always try things on first!
