I get cold feet and sabotage myself. Brains, at least mine, are so strange. Realizing that that is what happened has helped me a lot. I'm back on track for day 2 and have almost fully recovered. This has probably cost me another week in the 90s but the lesson is a good one. Fear cripples! That's the message. The lesson learned. I don't want to be crippled. AWAY FEAR AWAY... the 180s await and I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! All those herniated disks in my back (stenosis too) and fibromyalgia are all but non existantly causing pain... freedom. SO NICE! I'm eating lots of hot peppers for their capsaicin natural pain relieving qualities. Down another 1/2 of the remaining 5 (was 9) blood pressure pills so that equals 4 1/2 tabs instead of 9. YAY! Now if all this would just make my hair blond again instead of gray. Sigh. Never mind. LOL. maykat

Hi May - good for you getting back on track. It's so hard. I just wanted to mention that I have fibromyalgia. When I started hormone replacement therapy it almost went away entirely. I know HRT is controversial but I have found it so helpful. And here is something I know - you can get back the blond!!! You can just throw in some high lights. I am now blonder than I ever was as a baby. Now that I'm saying this, I'm not sure which makes me feel better. I would hate to give up either. The hair coloring is probably more expensive though. lol

Default A New Kinda Cheat

I don't know, I'm just so scared of gaining it all back. My lowest weight was 120 and this morning my weight was 123.2. (I feel like I have to validate the weight so I'm gonna say that I weighed before I had a BM, LOL!) So it's not horrible but I just can't seem to control myself or have the will power I used to.

This just came to me... It may sound kind of silly but here goes. I've been on Phase 1 since Feb 1. Three times I've had a planned cheat and returned immediately to Phase 1 at the end of the planned cheat.

Phase 4 as I understand it is mostly normal eating but with a one day per week cheat followed by a full on Phase 1 day. Perhaps a Phase 4 needs to have planned cheats (longer than just the 1 day) and the cheat is actually Phase 1 full on for 1 week then return to Phase 4. This would return one's system to ketosis for the loss of those few extra pounds and it seems like it would be easier to cope with just one week of Phase 1 rather than an undetermined length of time. Would it be safe then to return straight to Phase 4 at the end of the one week Phase 1 "Cheat"? Hmmmmm... I can't wait to make it to Phase 4 and find out. That is a dream I hope to come true! Smile.

123.5 is just a flucuation...sounds like you are doing great...take some time to focus on perfecting your maintenance...this is life-long. Keep up the great work and don't worry about a couple of temporary pounds.

Thanks for the "plan" Deelee... LOL! OK - When I get to goal all that will be left for me to reach for is HRT and Highlights! Smile. Thanks for the hints.

I have done several multiple day cheats and followed them with phase 1. I went on a cruise and ate and drank what I wanted within some reason and when I returned I was up 10 pounds and within 6 days of phase 1 I was down all 10 plus another pound.

I also have done a couple 2-4 day cheats and within a few days of phase 1 I am back to my previous weight.

I will be starting phase 4 this weekend and on June 28th I head to Vegas for 10 nights....I plan to take all the days off and then follow it with 2 weeks of phase 1.

I fly back from my conference in FL today and then start vacation tomorrow. I'm completely burned out on work, and seriously need a break.

I'm also feeling "diet fatigue" this week, probably because of ALL the food that I see at this conference. I have added a little more protein and didn't bring salad dressing, so am going over a little on oil. I meet my coach tomorrow, so we'll see if there was any damage this week before swapping to Phase 2 for vacation. I also had TOM this week, so I'm not expecting too much. I will report back tomorrow...

Take care everyone.

On the bright side, I feel positively comfortable in my clothes. I also noticed that while walking between tables in the giant ballroom that I don't take as much space as I used to. I also noticed the different on the plane... It's nice taking up less space!

Pixlkitty and Darbs... that is so FUN and WONDERFUL! I am underdressing today for a Ladies Luncheon because I don't have anything else to wear... Smile. I ordered ahead and so can stay on point but know that the desserts will be served to others. I can DO THIS! Hint for the future... having no TOM sure is wonderful! Just a little something to look forward to. LOL! Of course the drier skin and saggy jowl is not exactly grand. Ha! Ha! Someone on another forum mentioned a laser lift after reaching goal. That might just have to happen. I don't know where all this extra skin came from! DUH!

How hilarious 2riderollercoast!!! That is so funny. I'm hoping this won't bring sadness into a possible funny situation but alas... no. I wore yellow jean with a cute striped shirt. Some of the ladies come in dresses and pant suits. I was actually happily surprised to see that I "fit" in quite well. Smile. I had a pleasant time and DIDN'T EAT THE CAKE! One woman hadn't signed up so I split my tuna steak with her (giving me more room in my weekly mercury count allotment). The fellowship was much more fun than the food! Maybe I'm learning. Smile.

I had my annual physical today. I left somewhat disappointed. My Dr. didn't mention one thing about my weight loss. Not one word.

Doctors see a lot of people and you didn't say if your Dr. is a man, men never notice the things that are important to women! You have to bring it to their attention. Don't feel bad, you are doing a great job and you know it, that is what is important.

You're right. She does see a lot of patients. Plus she has never made a comment about my weight when I would gain. I was just hoping for a pat on the back I guess from her. I'll pat myself on the back though and keep going. Thanks for the encouragement. Somedays I need it more than others. You are doing awesome by the way! Good job and take care.

Hi. I'm new here, but this is the end of my 12th week on Phase 1, so I thought I'd peek my head in.

I had WI#12 today, and only lost 1lb. I'm really getting frustrated with my huge slow down in weight loss over the last 6 weeks. My first 5 weeks, I averaged 3.4lbs per week, and the last 7 weeks, it's been average of 1.9lbs per week.

I follow protocol to the T (with the exception of the days when I do a really intense workout, then I add an extra packet). I've tried cutting out all restricteds, only having restricteds on the weekend, and restricted every day with no real difference in results.

Has anyone else experienced this? I noticed that when I started to slow down was around when I switched my BC Pill to seasonale. Do you think that would have an affect on my weight loss? My coach is emailing the IP pharmacologist and her regional director to see. She's emailed her director before to see if there is anything I can do differently, and they say that my eating is great. She has ladies around my size that are still consistantly losing 3lbs or so a week.

I know that everyone's body is different and react differently to everything. If it was one bad week, I'd want to slap some sense into myself. But it's a trend, and it's really scaring me. What if I can't get to my goal weight? I don't think it's acceptable to lose only 1lb per week for the next 13 weeks. Am I being unreasonable? can anyone offer any insight?

Thank you so much...and sorry for the vent, I'm just so discouraged and frustrated.
