Let's face it....many people put the weight back on with all different types of diets. It is not the diet.....that fails....it is the person!

I lost from 280 down to around 210 in 2000 (around my 30th birthday)....I maintained between 205 and 220 until my 35th birthday and then I slowly gained back to 246...on my 40th birthday (how...my daughter drove me over the edge age 16-20).

So, I am very aware of the "after-maintenance"....I have spent this whole diet thinking about when I am done. That is why I really preach that we must keep it real and learn how to make good choices like "just one restricted" or a "planned cheat" and you get right back on.....it helps us prepare for that scary future. I have learned these things in the last 3 months....when I almost quit and was satisfied at 183ish...so glad I pushed through all my travels and taught myself about "planned cheats"

Stay strong girls...he is just angry with himself and the best we can do is learn from his mistake and focus on lifelong changes.
  • Quote: So how are you doing? Have you quit losing the weight you didn't want to lose?
I have 8 lbs before I'm at 90%. This journey has been great thanks for 3FC, I depend on you all for the support and to keep me accountable. I really am proud of those of us who have done it right, even with a cheat thrown in here and there.

I'm doing pretty good, thanks for asking! My first WI after I started Phase 3 I had gained 6 oz, and gained a 1/2" on my waist & a 1/2" on my hips but lost a 1/4" on the thighs. Ya know, I thought I would be really happy, but I was shocked how taken back I was. It will be interesting to see what Weds WI is. I have been lifting weights for 3 weeks now and I'm really enjoying that. Ya know, they say exercise gives you energy, but it just wipes me out! I'm lifting every other day, faithfully and in 3 short weeks, I have already increased either the weight I'm lifting or the amount of reps, so I think I'm moving right along. I'm just excited to start to "see" some results.

Ohhh I took a webseminar on maintaining your goal weight from Lindora. I only took it to get 25% off my next order, well I'm really glad I did it because I thought it was very good. If any of you guys get an invite to it, I highly suggest it.

Hubby & I were gonna go to our cabin this weekend but the plan changed with the Casey Anthony trial was gonna be in session on Saturday, plus my gym day was Saturday and I didn't want to miss it, so we stayed home. I went to the mall yesterday after my workout and finally bought me 2 pair of jeams from FT Casuals. I have always wanted jeans from there, but was always to plump to fit into them, so that was pretty exciting.

Hope you guys are having a awesome weekend and loving life as much as I am!

I had a bridal shower to go to yesterday and I have to say that this was the first event I've gone to in FOREVER where I actually felt excited to be dressed up and felt pretty comfortable in my own body What a feeling! Here's a pic of
my daughter and I before we left

I love this photo! Congratulations on all the you've accomplished. Isn't it great to feel good about dressing up? I, too, have stopped "dreading" special occasions. And... Nice camera!

Y'all realize he's actually a 408 lb man sitting in a room with his computer drooling over all the before and after shots... or maybe he's sabotaging people on purpose because he has a thing for full-figured gals.

You look beautiful. You're outfit is fantastic!

By the way, JohnP annoys me as much as the next person but talking behind his back and insulting him helps nothing; I find it pretty childish.

sorry may be childish but made me chuckle, and it isn't like he isn't reading our posts anyway, he always seems to pop up when least wanted.

Aww, thanks! Been meaning to show my face around here for a while, but my equal dislike of photos of me, and learning new tech stuff, had me procrastinating.
