i made it down to 161 today. i'm hoping to be in the 150s next week!! once i get to 155 i get to go to phase II. 6 more lbs to go! at my rate, that will probably be 3 weeks. i was hoping to be there this week or next week, but my losses have been pretty slow lately. i am still losing lots of inches though, which is fantastic! stopped into forever 21 before my WI and bought a pair of size 30 jean shorts without trying them on. turns out that they are too big, but i'm going to wear them anyhow with a belt. i honestly have no idea what size pant i am right now. my waist is currently 28", so i probably should have bought a 28. i still just assume that i am bigger than i am, so i tend to go for larger clothing. i guess my lesson here is that i should always try things on first!
wow that is amazing...what a great feeling eh? We were walking thru the mall yesterday, and Mike said to me, as I was casually browsing some summer clothes, "I dont know why you dont buy yourself some of these lil summer dresses"...... I was like, naa its ok....and just felt 'down'. BUT at his encouraging words, that went something like this" go..try these on, I am SURE you will surprise yourself"...... ok... I did. and OMG I am so happy I did. I bought THREE ! hahha one full length and two at the knee length. They are soooo cute....and I realized the reason I did not want to try them on was that fact that for at least 10 YEARS I wanted to, but could NOT....... just due to my size......... so jus stuck to capris every summer. NOW...omg I am so excited to wear these cute lil dresses. I fear my bank account will suffer hahhah. I went to the Loblaws and picked up some size 14 Joe Fresh jean cut offs.... they fit !!!!!!! now after wearing them for a bit, they have STRETCHED as denim does sometimes, and they are wayyy too loose now.. falling down. Ah well, I would much rather have THIS problem than tooo small. WOW....what a great program this is....mike has just returned from Norway and brought back all sorts of NORWEGIAN chocolate...omg... have to stay away from that! have a great IP and OP day everyone... (sorry for the long post)

Jamaica was a blast got a lot of exercise and good food. So now I am starting back on phase I. This time I am using alternative products, and try to keep up my activity level, instead of reducing it like I did the first time I started IP. My first goal is to loss any weight gained while on the trip. After that I think I will focus on 10lbs at a time for my goal. I only have about 20lbs I that I would like to loss. So I think that is pretty reasonable.
I hope everyone has a good IP week. I missed reading all the post, so I think over the next week I will see about catching up on all the news.

Glad you had a great trip.....this diet makes you feel so "in control" and I really like that. I feel like I can cheat or take a vacation or whatever and I will get right back at it.
I get back from Vegas on July 8th (currently phase 3 until Vegas) and then I will do phase 2 for 2 weeks...can't do phase 1 as I exercise too much and I need more fuel.
I too want to lose about 10-15 more pounds. I might tackle them in September.
Has anyone experienced caffenine interfering with your weight loss? I haven't lost any weight for the last 2 weeks. I haven't gained but haven't lost either. I am giving up iced tea and coffee for this week to find out. Any suggestions? If so,please private message me. Thanks. Sherry

I am doing run/walk 1/2 intervals 3 times a week. I am working out with resistance training with a personal trainer 2x a week (26 weeks so far) and I golf and walk and carry my clubs 5x a week. I am going to add a 5 mile walk one day a week and a 5 mile bike ride one day a week. I also want to add a 2 hour kayak session one day a week (just waiting until I am done teaching for the summer).

Isn't it great to walk into a store and try on something that in the past you would just walk by saying to yourself, I will never be able to wear that. Congrats you are doing so great.

That sounds like my dream week. I love being busy and working out. I have a new found love for kayaking after doing it almost every day in Jamaica.
I am having such a hard time on phase 4. Little cheats here and there. I just can't decide if I want to continue on phase 4 or go back to phase 1, if I could even do it anymore. I'm so terrifed to fall off the wagon and start being bad again. Friday has been my normal cheat day then I had a little bit of cheat on Saturday so my Phase 1 day ended up being Sunday. I don't know, I'm just so scared of gaining it all back. My lowest weight was 120 and this morning my weight was 123.2. (I feel like I have to validate the weight so I'm gonna say that I weighed before I had a BM, LOL!) So it's not horrible but I just can't seem to control myself or have the will power I used to.

Congrats to all who've reached a temporary or partial goal like ONEderland!!! How very exciting! I had a flinch this past weekend. This sounds so weird but I got scared. I was about to break 190s and cheated my way through the weekend making it back to 193. How ODD! I've waited 20 years to see anything below 200 and now that I'm progressing... I get cold feet and sabotage myself. Brains, at least mine, are so strange. Realizing that that is what happened has helped me a lot. I'm back on track for day 2 and have almost fully recovered. This has probably cost me another week in the 90s but the lesson is a good one. Fear cripples! That's the message. The lesson learned. I don't want to be crippled. AWAY FEAR AWAY... the 180s await and I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! All those herniated disks in my back (stenosis too) and fibromyalgia are all but non existantly causing pain... freedom. SO NICE! I'm eating lots of hot peppers for their capsaicin natural pain relieving qualities. Down another 1/2 of the remaining 5 (was 9) blood pressure pills so that equals 4 1/2 tabs instead of 9. YAY! Now if all this would just make my hair blond again instead of gray. Sigh. Never mind. LOL. maykat
Didn't make it to my weekly weigh in today so went by my home scale. Down 2 pounds and I'll take it. This was my first week back on IP and sorry to say I didn't have a perfect week. Somehow I can make it four days and then poof. I'm hopeful I can make it all week long this week. I'm still not giving up that I can do this!

It is normal to go up and down in weight on a daily bases. A 3-5lb gain in a week isn't really bad, as long as it is fluctuating and not staying the same or steadily increasing.
Just contiune to pick out healthy items and you will be fine.
