Margarita124> Thanks for the warm welcome!!!! You didn't cheat when eating the low-fat cheese, based on my book you have the option of eating 1.5 low-fat cheese slices or a veggie burger (with no bun of course). I'm gonna stick with the coffee, it keeps me sane.

Also, congratulations on the weight loss!!!!!!!!!!

I have found the recipe link and would like to try out the oatmeal cookies! YUM!

If today goes accordingly, I will have:

breakfast:
egg whites w/ green onion & 1/2 slice lf cheese
grits, instant plain
banana

lunch:
vegetable root soup
apple

dinner:
pigeon pea pattie
brown rice
salad, no dressing

snacks:
fruit smoothie
100 cal cereal bar(I had totally forgotten that one snack is permitted in ph1, you can have a low-fat granola bar, of which I'm subbing a 100 cal cereal bar since it's what I have on hand)

Enjoy your day!

Welcome Meikmeika! Happy to have another to join us
I don't think low fat granola bar is accepted in Fat Smash? I could be wrong. I think it might be in the Extreme version. You seem to be doing great though Keep us updated.
I started Chalean Extreme yesterday. wow is all I can say lol! I almost fainted 3/4 of the way. I asked my beachbody coach and he told me that I might've worked myself too much. I need to find my heart monitor and use it next time.

Holy Crap!!! I'm already tweaking a bit with keeping my coffee...I hope I didn't just eat something else not allowed for P1.....sigh...Off to find the book....

Phew....I feel better. I have the blue and white book with black letters reading, "The Fat Smash Diet". Page 21 includes allowed items for phase 1, the last indexed item points you to pages 142-143 for phase 1 snacks. 1 low-fat granola bar is allowed. WOOT!!!

Sophie> Great job on the Chalean Extreme! She's the one who does Turbo Jam right? I've tried Slim in 6, Power 90 and Turbo Jam and they all have me out of breath before the work outs are over. You'll see results very quickly.

margarita124 - Thanks I hope tomorrow is better. I'll be keeping watch on my heart monitor (I need to find it now lol).

Meikmeika - Well, you thought me something new. I never thought granola bars were acceptable in phase 1. I would've ate some let me tell you lol. Oh, now I see what you mean. It says to choose the snack that fits the phase you're in. I guess granola bars would be considered in oatmeal?

Today I ate at my mom's. We had chicken breasts in cream of mushroom. I know I shouldn't have the cream of mushroom but I allowed myself this once. I also ate brown rice & carrots with it. It was yummy!

Today was just an ok day...... I felt so blah, got nauseas at one point, ate lunch and was fine.

coffee, banana
2 oatmeal cookies from recipe section

black beans w/ salsa, brown rice
blueberries

egg white omelette w/ green onions & lf cheese
grits

cereal bar
ff greek yogurt

I definitely need to get some more ruffage in. I'm gonna make some collard green and black eye pea soup, it's amazing, even without meat.

Hope you guys are having a good Monday.

I felt a bit nauseas when I did phase 1. I think the sudden lack of sugar does that. I hate the feeling. It'll pass though. You just need to fight through it. Your menu seems AWESOME! Lots of variety. I stuck to the same things during phase 1. Veggie Chilli, apple bake, smoothies... can't remember what else. I find that when you find something you enjoy, it's a lot easier. I still do my apple bake now (some in the fridge actually).
Continue your awesome work! I'm sure you'll be reaching your goal weight soon enough.

Today was a bad day for me pretty much. I started my day with apple bake with a vanilla activia yogurt. I then got myself a coffee (with a cookie). I got to work, a woman went to the states and brought us some goodies (chips & candy), I had some... the chips were just DELICIOUS! I shouldn't have ate one... I was hooked. But now they're gone. No more chips. I almost caved in at the grocery store and bought myself some white cheddar popcorn (my fave!). I didn't though. Don't need that in the house to tempt me all week! I ate a 6" sub at Subway (roasted chicken) and then had macaroni for supper. There wasn't much nutrition in these meals except for the first one. I didn't even have my fruit for a snack since I snacked on the chips... I'm just going to brush that off. Today though, I drank 2litres of water and more. I'm going to continue doing that this week. I want to get back in the water habit. I also did another workout from Chalean Extreme. My legs are DEAD! My arms are sore. My butt is also in pain lol. I think I better hit the shower and then in bed for me. Hope you all had a great day! Keep Smashin'!

lol, welcome to the group JellyBelly! Are you just starting phase 1?

Well, I had a pretty bad morning. I had two coffees. One I tried some Sweet & Creamy Coffee Mate. It wasn't too good so I don't think I'll be having more of those. The other was my regular coffee with 2 milks & 1 twin. After that, it was someone's birthday so I had a piece of cherry cheesecake... omg was it ever yummy! I know I know... bad girl! I'll work it out tonight in my workout Don't know what I'm having for lunch yet. I have to go to the grocery store to pick something out. I may just buy a salad or a wrap. Not sure yet. Hope everyone is having a good day!

Sophie> It's all good....sounds like the chips and cheesecake were worth eating anyways. We have to live a little right?!

JellyBelly> Hello!

Today was yet another blah day. I'm sure the stress at my job isn't helping...

coffee
banana

rice, black beans and salsa, tempeh (which is another take on soy)
grapes

vegetable root stew

100 calorie cereal bar

Like a total dummy I got on the scale this morning and gained a lb....aarrr! This is definitely why I need more ruffage.

Hope everyone's having a wonderful Tues!!!!!

Awww, don't worry, you'll see the weight go down soon enough! Are you drinking a lot of water? I'm bad with the scales too. I weigh in first thing in the morning (naked) and then again before I shower (naked again). I'm pathetic like that LOL! I know I shouldn't but I keep doing it anyways. Exercise will also help out a lot. I didn't during phase 1 and I should have. But, I can't change both my exercise and diet at the same time. That's just me. So now that I have my diet where I want it to be, I'm working on my exercise.

Well, did another awesome workout tonight. I think it was the toughest I've EVER done. My body was trying to shut down but I didn't let it and fought through. I wasn't able to follow them exactly but I gave it 100%. My goal is to be able to follow them (with the same body of course LOL). I ate well the rest of the day. Soup for lunch, banana for snack & piece of pork with brown rice and veggies. I know the pork isn't marked in the book but I allow it once in a while. I don't eat a lot of it either so.

Hi, ladies! Thx for the welcomes!!!

I'm in the process of gearing up to start phase 1. I need to go grocery shopping first though. I've done Fat Smash before, and it works very well for me, but I always fall off the bandwagon and regain the weight.

*sigh*

Keep saying you can do it JellyBelly! The first phase is hard but I thought was very important. If you can stick exactly as the diet says during the first phase, the rest of the phases will be a piece of cake and it'll keep getting better and better. I even didn't have coffee during the first phase and was happy I didn't. I told myself I wasn't going to die if I didn't have coffee for 9 days and I didn't Stay positive!

I weighed myself at 169.0 this morning. I almost felt like smashing the scale. I know it's going to go down slower right now because I'm starting to exercise with weights and I'll be gaining muscles. Also, this weekend is my birthday party (saturday) even though my birthday is Nov 2nd. We're doing a Halloween Party at my cousin's. I'm going to be drinking and probably eating things I shouldn't. I'll be good the first part of the day but around dinner time, I won't be... I was planning on doing my detox day Sunday but I probably won't be up to it. I'll do this next Saturday. Only fruits/veggies/nuts smoothies for the day. Total cleanup! I know I won't be hitting my 165 goal weight by Halloween but I really want to hit my 150 goal weight by Christmas. It's going to be tough!

I was reading old posts and I think that once phase 3 is done, I'm going to hop back on phase 1 and start over until I hit my goal weight. What do you guys think of that? It would mean that I would start phase 1 again November 5. I just feel like I'm on a plateau and it's driving me crazy...

Ugh guys I'm so very very very very very very fustrated. I'm going to go extra hard next week but I didn't lose any weight this week. I've been trying to keep motivated. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude, but it's so hard, its never taken me this long to lose the amount of weight I want to lose. Coming from 235, I've come down quite a bit. Next week I'm going to try going heavy on the excercise and increase my vegetable intake. I'm looking to lose another 3lbs by next thursday!

Sophie, you do well when you were in phase 1. I say to switch the system up, it would be good to start with that. I also think that since it's your birthday you should go a little easy on yourself.

I forget because I don't have that book anymore, but what were the restrictions for phase 1? You were doing great with that I might do it.

Hi Jelly Belly!!!
