Oh and Meikmeika I was looking at what you eat, and are you still hungry with the menu that you have? Are you generally satisfied?

Yes, I'm usually like that. Phase 2 was ok too. Phase 3 though, it's more free-for-all and I usually go crazy when I have more freedom. The thing is, I don't know if I should go to phase 1 continue or if I do phase 1 and then return to phase 3? The second option is what the book says if you hit a plateau but I don't know what to do...

Phase 1 - Allowed Foods
•all fruit
•all vegetables except white potatoes and avocadoes
•tofu
•dried beans (e.g., chickpeas, lentils)
•brown rice
•oatmeal
•limited skim or soy milk
•herbs and spices
•low-fat yogurt (no more than 12 oz. daily)
•up to 4 egg whites daily
•herbal tea
•unlimited water

I'm so ready for the weekend....

Well, I've fallen head first off the wagon, and it's ok. I've decided that I'm going back Weight Watchers and counting points, it's funny how no matter what diet I may try I always end back up with WWs... I'm so stressed at work I can't deal with being nauseas. When looking over my previous menus I know I was crazily under my WW daily target pts.

I know this program works, I've done it before and lost 4lbs in P1 but for some reason my heads not in the game. Will you guys allow me to continue posting here?

Primetime> I wasn't really hungry when I was doing P1 b/c I was always snacking on something. I mainly think the calorie deficit was too drastic for me.

Sophie> I really hope that you have a wonderful birthday/halloween party and remember it's your day. Enjoy yourself!

Meikmeika it's ok you'll just be smashing fat in your own way lol
I don't care if you do.

Weighed in at 168.6 this morning (no weight loss). I'm not sad though. I've been working out all week so I know I'm building muscles.

Meikmeika - Thanks! I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun! Of course you can keep on posting here! Like PrimeTime said, you'll be smashin fat your own way.

PrimeTime - I might start phase 1 next Monday. I'll probably be hung over on Sunday so hopefully I'll be up to baking... I'm going to do my apple bake for sure. I also need to do a vegetable rice soup. When will you be starting phase 1?

Awwwwww......Thanks Guys!!!!

I've been eating well, had one piece of chocolate last night for 2 pts and it was ok. A goal that I have for myself is if I don't like what I'm eating, regardless of what it is or how much I paid, I won't eat it... We don't realize how important this action is. I was people watching at my job and noticed the skinny people would only eat foods they really liked (even with the donuts, cookies, cakes, candies) that are always in our office. The ones trying to lose weight would just eat the stuff b/c it was there and most would mumble they would start their diet tomorrow. This is the exact reason the "diet" mentality sucks sometimes but without it I would have no self control....

I'm still the same weight.... I have to keep telling myself that it took a while for me to put it on so it's probably gonna take some time to come off. I'm such an impatient person.

Sophie> How are your clothes fitting? Now that you're exercising you may want to track measurements as well, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Sophie & Prime> If you guys have blenders or food processors you can do alot of awesome soups like split pea, black bean, vegetable root, squash, etc, for phase I.

You guys have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your party Sophie! Stock up on gingerale and saltines....hehe!

I'm planning on starting on Monday. I don't know about having too much grains though. This past week I did they and didn't lose any weight. I need to find the right balance. What does everyone have for breakfast?

Meikmeika, I have a blender but I haven't the slightest idea how to do that

Confession: I had a binge yesterday up 2.7lbs. But I'm still determined.

Today is my first day of the FSD and so far so good. Figured I'll post, instead of just lurking. I need all the encouragement I can get.

I had a fun on Saturday, dressed up and partied at a friend's house. I didn't go overboard. No hangovers! YAY! I was hoping to start Phase 1 today, guess that didn't happen. I didn't think things through. Today is Halloween and Wednesday is my birthday. I was bound to cheat this week. So, with that said, I'm either starting phase 1 on Thursday or next Monday. We'll see how everything goes. I know I shouldn't do excuses but I can't help it! Lately, it's been tough because I'm not seeing any weight loss and I'm getting discouraged... I know I shouldn't rush things but it felt so good when the weight was going down in the beginning. I need to get my head in gear again...

Edit: Hey unstoppable! Glad to have you on board with us! Phase 1 can be a thoughie. Hang in there! Post on here if you have any questions of if you're having a tough day. I find it helps.

Powers back on-fortunately, I don't care about candy so tonight won't be an issue with trick or treating with my lil one.
I just need to eat salad for a week-lol

I've been thinking a lot... I want to lose 10 lbs by Christmas. That's my goal. I've never reached a weight loss goal before. I wanted to reach 165 by Halloween and it didn't happy by 3 lbs... It totally sucked not reaching it. I want to reach this next one. I've decided I'm either starting Fat Smash over again or I'm trying the Extreme Version. I was browsing through the extreme book before going to bed last night and it doesn't seem too bad. The only part that scares me is the exercise part. I'm struggling in that department. What I was thinking of doing is splitting it in two or three. I'd do a bit in the morning, a bit in noon and a bit in the afternoon. I think that could work. It would mean I get up a bit earlier but that shouldn't be too bad. I'm a Beta in the Extreme version... I'll need to research a bit. If I start it, it'll be either on Thursday or Friday depending on when I'm ready. I'd love to keep my weigh ins on Fridays though so I may start on that day but we'll see. The reason I'm not starting tomorrow is because it's my birthday and I don't want to start a diet on that day.

Today is day 2 of 9. So far so good. I forgot my water bottle at home so needless to say I have not been drinking enough water today. Ugghh!

Does anyone have suggestions for tasty dinner options for phase 1?

Spaghetti Squash with Vegetable Spaghetti Sauce? Or maybe even some brown rice with stir fry veggies. I always keep a spare water bottle at work so that if I forget mine, I have a backup one

So, I've decided I'm doing the Extreme Fat Smash diet! I've been thinking about it all day. I've been reading reviews and I've finally made up my mind. I have a goal of losing 10 lbs for Christmas and I'm hoping I can do that with the Extreme Version. I know I can do it! My official date is going to be on Friday. It'll give me enough time to buy my groceries and prepare myself mentally for the week ahead. Anyone else starting this phase of the Extreme version?

Hey Guys!!!

My eating since this wknd has been horrible! I really need to get back on track.

Prime> How is everything going? I know you were starting over yesterday and I hope all has been good.

Sophie> I think I'm gonna give EFS a go as well. The exercise scares me too, I haven't worked out in ages but I need extreme right now.

Yeah, I think your best bet is starting out fresh on Fri, since it's your weigh-in day and you need to have fun on your b-day. Fun being eating cake and treating yourself...hehe!

Margarita> My gosh! I'm happy to hear the powers back on. I can totally understand you about eating salads all week....

Unstoppable> Welcome!!! I'm still fairly new to this group as well, but they're awesome! I find soups to be the easiest meals for P1.
