Hi- This is my third week of transition and I am just about maintaining with up two down two. I am still doing two milk days every week as recommended. I went from a size 12 to a 2/4. I went from a size large top to a size small. This is the first diet I was ever on in my life that my bra size went down. I am big so it was fine. I have lost everywhere. Even my ring size went down. Transition for me is harder and scarier then basic because I am afraid of eating too much and gaining. I am doing the best and everyone who has done it says to trust in the process. Dr. Schwartz said if I fail, he fails and then his business would fail so I should trust him.
For people who have trouble on milk day, did you try the recipes for shakes, soups, or mock cheesecake? For those having trouble on veggie/fruit days check out the zillions of recipes on the AW website and experiment. Try the miracle noodles and the wise fries. Get peppermint oil to dab under your nose. Get WF dips/syrups to make candies and keep popping them in your mouth. It works. Sometimes the scale moves slowly, but your clothing size keeps moving. I have an entire closet full of sizes 6-12 that I am getting rid of.
Someone I know just went on the HCG diet. I don't get giving yourself a shot every day. I would never go that far, but that is me. Cheating slows the process here. All the food will be there when you are done with this and so not worth it. I have gone with hubby to all you can eat buffets and just ate salad. I bring an avocado in my bag and mash it with onions and lemon juice for dressing. JUST DO IT>
Thinivy, congrats on your success!! I hope I can do as well on this program as you have. I want to lose about 25 pounds on this plan. Please keep updating on your maintenance phase! How long have you been on the plan for?
hi everyone. I was reading through everyones success and i wanted to congratulate you all. I was on this plan in june and lost 16 lbs in two weeks. However i took off and went traveling for two months where i gained all of the weight and some more. However i have been back since september and am back to 150lbs for the 162. I am also hoping to lose 25 lbs. Therefore i am ready to start this tomorrow. Hopefully ill be able to do it again. reading everyones progress encourages me so much.
Lillylover. We are kinda on the same boat. I'm at 145 though. But would love to get at 125-120. I lost a lot of weight breastfeeding. But since I stopped I think I gained 10lbs!!!! My girlfriend did this diet and is still at 120. It's been a while. She's doing great and looks great. Let me know how it goes for you. I'm thinking it'll take a while for us to loose the weight?? You think? I hope the one month=15 lbs off works and I need it off fast! Ok. Hear from you soon.
Lose25, congrats on getting back on the wagon! Did you find it easy/hard to gain the weight back? That is what I'm very worried about once I hit my goal weight.
Leilei, I'm so glad to hear someone is going through the same things as me! I just started today, and I started on a milk day. Everyone has been saying that the 15 lbs per month is guaranteed for all participants as long as you do it right, regardless of weight. So that sounds promising! I actually weighed in at 145 today, and my goal is 120 (130 is kind of my "soft" goal). Please keep updating here, because I know I will!
Update: After my first day (a milk day), I'm down a full pound! I hope I can keep up that pace. I wasn't hungry at all. I'm about to have another 6 oz of yogurt today, but I've already had 14 oz of milk I'm still not hungry.
Hey, Thanks lilly lover. Well it was easy to gain it back ONLY because i was traveling for two full months and was eating way more then i should have. And when i came back home it was really easy to lose it again on my own. Yesterday was my first veggie day and i didnt do perfect i ate some nuts in my salad and didnt drink enough water. However today i am going to have a perfect day for sure. What is everyone's goal weights? Mine is to get down to 125lbs, meaning i have about 25 lbs to lose. How many do you guys have to lose and how many have you lost so far? Have a perfect day everyone!
My goal weight is 120--I'm down to 142.4 today!! I started at 145 on Monday.
Milk days were a lot easier than I thought they would be, but I'm so glad to have a veggie day. Mushrooms and green beans with a little salt and pepper--yum!
Lose25, I didn't see your post when I originally posted this...but I'm glad to hear you're back on track!

LillyLover,
So proud that your doing great!!!! How's concentration? and headaches etc.? Is that kicking in? I just have a big test to complete in 2 weeks and I'm afraid of starting the diet soon that I'll be fatigued and "not in the mood" to study.. yikes... do you get a list of milk recipes? or what you can have during milk week? just curious.. I really wanna get well prepared before I start! excited but nervous.
Leilei, I've had no problems with concentration or headaches. I was a little worried about that too since I'm a junior in college right now, but I really have not had any issues! I get a teeny bit hungry sometimes, but water helps with that easily. I think I only get hungry because I sleep so late--it usually doesn't kick in until 1 or 2.
There are plenty of milk recipes, but I like to keep it simple. I just have the yogurt with some splenda mixed in, and I sip on milk throughout the day from my cute thermal mug.
Are you on a plan now? I was calorie counting before this, so the lower food intake wasn't as much of a shock to me. And 1.5 lbs of vegetables is actually a lotttt...I just made a bowl of boiled mushrooms and spinach for my food tomorrow, and it looks like a ton. It's so good with salt and pepper, and it's so easy to make!

Wow! cool. Thanks for the advice. I sooo need to start soon. I just weighed myself and im at 146.. well, i just had lunch. But WTH! Im going UP! I completed the orientation online in May but I had to put off this diet cause of other issues. Now I'm ready and you make it sound so easy. I'm really good at portion control.. well, sometimes... hahah..we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the quick response!!
i just started this program. i'm day 2. reading this thread was super helpful, but i come up with questions and concerns so frequentlyi was hoping to have you guys for help.
i thought beginning with fruit days would be easiest. i get spells of fatigue and weakness every few hours or so. Also, my beads are causing my skin to be sore, is that normal?
honestly, i could endure it all knowing that i should expect the results i've read in this thread. if i can get the results - i'd be happy to withstand all the irritations and pains.
I'm nervous because i read a few posts that claimed the weight loss was water weight and their clothes still fit the same after substantial weight loss. Any thoughts or input?
Overall, i'm hopeful and anxious for the results. i've tried so many other methods of losing my college weight, if this doesn't work i think i will be super discouraged. i'm hoping to get down to 130, i'm at 200 now.
ps- i finally gave in and told my trainer what i was planning on starting. she kept calling me stupid and how i would ultimately kill myself. basically, i don't have support from her at all and my fam and friends don't live near by so i could really use the support. i don't believe i'm doing anything harmful to my body (no more harmful than binging on junk food daily)
Hey Yhx9. Welcome. Its normal to get fatigue and weakness in the beginning they say that a cup of tea with some honey should help you feel less weak. Also maybe your rubbing the beads too hard? Because i had a problem with it in the beginning too. Also in the beginning of course the first ten pounds or so is water weight but after that it is real weight loss. I mean really how much weight water can one person have? Personally for me i did it a while back and lost 16 lbs in two weeks so that was an average of 1.4 lbs a day. I didnt see any difference in the first ten lbs or so but after as soon as i hit the 13 lbs loss and so on i noticed it. I started this again on Tuesday and weight myself today. I am down to 147 lbs in two days. So if you keep at it i am so sure you will succeed. I am sorry you trainer doesnt agree but like you said its unhealthy being at that weight and its not more harmful then eating junk food. Good luck!
Lilly- Congtrats on your weight loss!. I myself have lost 4 lbs in two days and i am so excited. I had a perfect day yesterday. Here is to another perfect one.
Sooo...I had my first veggie day yesterday, and I did it perfectly but did not lose a single pound!! I stayed at exactly 142.4. I guess this is why they say you shouldn't weigh every single day?? It's become a habit for me, though. I want milk days again...
aww i am sorry to hear. DONT weigh yourself everyday! Also drink lots and lots of water. I swear thats like the secret ingredient. Don't give up. Tomorrow your back on milk day. Good lUCK!
