Default Heres the recipe for my cauliflower rice incase anyone wants to try it out!

MY tasty cauliflower rice recipe

INGREDIENTS
• 1/2 cup chopped white onion
• 1/2 cup chopped red peppers
• 1/3 cup chopped tomatoes
• 2 tsp minced garlic (I used the stuff from the jar)
• 1/2 head of cauliflower with the leaves cut off
• 2-4 tbs green onions/scallions sliced
• Braggs liquid amino acids
• Vegetable Stock
• 0 calorie olive oil cooking spray(or whatever flavor 0 cal cooking spray U like, i always use olive oil)

*There are 2 ways you can get cauliflower rice. You can put it in a food processor or you can use a cheese grater & grate it. I use a cheese grater.

*Take the cauliflower head & grate it until you are finished. You should now have what looks very similar to white rice, like this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_HcL5vFVI7R.../s400/rice.JPG Set aside.

*Another tip is to try & chop all your veggies before you start to cook. This saves a lot of time & just makes things easier

DIRECTIONS

1. Spray a large pan with a good amount of cooking spray & put on medium heat.
2. Take white onions & red peppers & add them to the pan.
3. Saute for 5-7 mins till soft & onions are a little brown.
4. Add tomatoes & garlic & cook for another 5 mins
5. Spray the pan again with cooking spray & add cauliflower.
6. Cook cauliflower for about 15-25 mins until its soft, stirring very frequent. Keep the heat on medium-medium high.
7. While cooking & stirring cauliflower you may add about 2-3 tbs of veggie stock (or as much as you like) at a time. Its not necessary but I use this to add a little moisture to the cauliflower & prevent it from sticking. If you don’t have veggie stock, water will work just fine.
8. When cauliflower is almost done, add the Braggs liquid amino acids. I only add about 1-2 tbs of Braggs b/c it is salty & has a strong taste so you do not need a lot for the flavor. But you can adjust to your taste.
9. Add your scallions, mix very well & cook for another 2-3 mins.
10. SERVE & ENJOY!!!!

I kept reading about cauliflower rice & after watching a bunch of youtube videos on how to make it I decided to give it a shot & I am so happy I did!! It is sooooooo tasty & DOES NOT taste like cauliflower whatsoever. The trick is to make sure the cauliflower is cooked thoroughly & to season it just right. The thing that I was going for was trying to make it taste & look as much like Spanish rice or fried rice as I could. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! I usually eat this with cut up avocado & tomato & some “un”fried plantains. They all go great together! I even added a little hot sauce & it tasted great! You can add this to your soups too! HAPPY COOKING!!

**You may also use whatever veggies you want. These were just the ones I chose to use & it came out excellent. But I did watch one video where a guy added everything from cut up carrots to green peppers to broccoli...etc. So No veggies are off limits here! (Except for the starchy ones hehe)

**If you don't know what Braggs liquid amino acids is heres a picture of it http://healthnaturally.healthblogs.o.../04/braggs.jpg & you can purchase it at a health food store, atleast thats the only place I can find it by me.
It taste very similar to soy sauce & is great on just about anything! So since we are not allowed soy sauce this is a fantastic substitute! Taste very similar & is 0 calorie!

Re: Miracle Rice

Really, I didn't enjoy the rice as much as the noodle. In fact, the texture of the rice in my mouth reminded me of that piece of gristle you get when you eat a less than quality piece of meat. I will only use the noodles in the future.

And this about how to respond, dietarily, to cheats on your diet. Of course it doesn't fit the AW program, but interesting material. It basically states that your dietary response should fit how much weight you gained from your cheat:

"If under 5 lbs eat pineapple most of the day and for dinner have an all protein meal or an all carbohydrate meal. So you could have steak and eggs or corn on cob, baked potato and salad but not both."

If you gained over 5 lbs you can eat the following foods for 1 to 4 days and then resume your diet. No matter how bad you blow it you can correct it within a short amount of time.

Day 1 Have pineapple and 2 hours later papaya and then two hours after you are finished with papaya have pineapple again. Remember of course to drink lots of water.

Day 2 Take the whole day and eat watermelon this will help to flush out the excess sodium your body is retaining.

Day 3 Start your day with dried prunes soaked the night before and 2 hours after you have finished eat strawberries. End your day with baked potatoes. You will clean out all of the excess food you ate so it will not be stored as fat.

Day 4 Grapes all day and you will get rid of any hidden sugars in the food you ate.

Regarding milk days: I find it is easier for me to do milk days M-Th. I am 5 lbs. below goal and seem to still be losing 1-2 lbs. a week.

I am going out tonight for a girls get together at a fiends house. This may be tough because she is a gourmet cook and has a habit of fixng plates and setting them out on the table. I HATE when people do that. It is rude.

I am eating fruit today so I can be prepared. I do not have a sweet tooth so dessert is not an issue. Truth is I do not have much of an appetite. I plan on bringing a big bottle of water. I cannot possibly feign illness.

Believe me I will get the bs that "the diet isn't healthy" "you need to eat protien" "you know you will gain a few lbs. over the holidays" "we are older so you won't weigh what you did at 30" etc. etc.

My firends haven't seen me in my skinny jeans and tonight they willl. It is not my willpower that I question it is the sabotage and guilt. Jealously? Perhpas. I will let you all know how I did tomorrow.

How Cayenne Pepper Helps to Burn Fat: Cayenne pepper is considered to be one of the most powerful fat burning spices because it triggers a thermodynamic fat burning reaction in the body that lasts for hours after it is eaten. No particular amount is suggested for optimal fat burning. It also changes the way the body processes cholesterol.
How to Add Cayenne Pepper to Your Diet: Cayenne pepper has quite a heat kick to it. Those who cannot handle spicy foods or are combating acid reflux issues may not want to add this to their diet.

Woo Lose25! Way to go! I'm down from 311 at my weigh in to 308 today... 9 more lbs and I'm breaking that insane mark that i've been stuck with since i had my first daughter nearly 4 yrs ago. I can't believe it, but am sitting up wondering how in the world I'm feeling as well and as energetic as I am given that i've not had much to eat in the last few weeks LOL!

I had a perfect milk day today and found a new ingredient to put into my milk "soup".

Bacon salt.

Oh yes. Salt, that tastes like.. bacon. That and the molly mc butter cheese sprinkles made for a *ridiculously* tasty dinner !

Time for bed... more in the am!

Hi everyone! So I've been feeling a bit under the weather these past few days, so I've been taking some nyquil. It is making me gain weight!! I have been eating perfectly and rubbing my beads, but I have gone up a pound. I'm really upset about this because I was determined to make this a perfect set and get out of the 130s by now. I'm now back up to 133.4, whereas the other day I was already at 131.

Does anyone have any suggestions?? I feel better now and don't need the nyquil anymore, but I'm so disappointed that I've gained. I'm going home on Monday and wanted to be in the 120s by then...I do have milk days today and tomorow, so maybe that will help get my weight back down??

Hi all! I got through Friday night perfectly ok! I weighed the same this morning and I did indulge a wee bit. I have analyzed my progress and it seems I am losing about 5 lbs. a month on my version of transition/maintenance.

I truly believe it is about just learning to eat differently. And I will reach my next mini goal by next week. I also have decided to continue on and see where I end up. I do have a number in mind. I was called skinny last night. I loved tucking my skinny jeans in my boots. I also told my 26 year old hairdresser to cut my hair like hers which suits my new look.

But this morning at the gym, in the light and mirrors I could see where I need to keep going since I am this far. I know I am the senior member (old enough to be your mother!) here right now and this may be my last chance to do it so I will keep plodding along.

I am so glad that everyone is doing so well! And as I mentioned earlier I was the poster child for not doing the diet 100% and still got results. Just took me longer. As I figure it 3 1/2 months, 30 lbs. with lots of vacation and travel. But at this point who cares?

If anyone else here considered taking an evening supplement to avoid cravings and binges, what would it be?

Most supplements are to be taken before meals and are geared to reducing caloric intake. We don't want that on AW since we are already at basic consumption. Many supplements are NOT to be taken in the evenings for their effects of sleeplessness.

So, what is out there that can be taken after 6 PM as an appetite suppressant to ward off evening binges without interfering with sleep patterns?
