Amy – Hey, the extra weight on your tummy can’t hurt! At least I wouldn’t think, haha
Kk140 – When I originally started the 30day shred I planned to just move on every 10 days and push myself to get to the next level. However, when I really committed and did all the moves I was able to move on every 10 days with no problem. Don’t get me wrong, each level was harder than the one before!! But man, totally worth the burn.
I’m starting over again today. I’m a little worried about the ‘manly’ push-ups (as I call them). But when I started originally, I could barely do the ‘girly’ ones, so I guess by the end I should really be able to do a real push up, which just sounds SUPER cool!!
I was only going to do the workout Sunday - Friday but now I think I will do it everyday for the 30 days. I am on day 3 of level 1. I will see how things progress after 10 days to see if I am ready for level 2. Is there alot of difference in the intentisity level between level 1 and 2?
uclr0028 - I think each level is more difficult than the one before. Although for different reasons than you would think. It seemed to me that she focused on different muscle groups at once in each level. So maybe level one is focusing on biceps in one exercise, then level two would incorporate hamstrings and a different arm muscle. Inadvertently you're working your bicep, but in a different way. (I hope that makes sense.) So while each level was difficult to begin, it gradually got easier until I was ready to move on.
I am also on day 3 level 1. I am enjoying the workouts, but am wondering if this is supplemental to your exercise routine or if this is it. I wonder if 20 min a day is enough. I tried skimming this long post but haven't really heard many responses regarding this. Sorry if it was already asked and answered.
zaarjunkie - The video actually ends up being about 27 minutes total. After I finish the video, I hop on the elliptical for 20mins. In addition, I go on walks during my breaks at work, so I work up 20 minutes of power walking during work, then my 47 minutes at home. I also felt the video wasn't enough for me and that I needed additional cardio.
Thanks for your response stargzr. I'm on day 4 level 1 and am still sore. I do walk for about 40 minutes over my lunch break. I feel I should work up to more. Thanks again.
I have been flirting with the 30 day shred... (on and off for about 1 month), but am now ready to be serious about it. I am going to start level 1 day 1 tomorrow, and alternate with couch to 5 k. I'm also going to start tracking my inches, cause i want to really know i have results.
I'm excited about getting started with this program. Mine hasn't arrived yet but I hope it comes before I leave Thursday. I plan to start when I get back in a couple of weeks.
Hi i managed to do 10 days of this and lose 8pounds! but put it all back on again cos one day suddenly it just all died after i broke up with my bf and ate like a pig and slept all day,
But im ready to start again
i hope it goes well this time.
Im 156 pounds and i want to lose 10 pounds in the 30 days
I did L3D2 today and I wanted to ask if anyone else experienced discomfort when doing the supermans (on the bones of my rib cage) and the sit ups (on my tail bone). Is there anything I can do to make it less painful? I don't think it's a good kind of pain!
I am on level 1 day 9. I have only lost 1 pound, but it is TOM so...I physically feel like I could have moved on to level 2 but I will do tonight and tomorrow on level 1 and move to level 2 on Wednesday. I do like the comfort of know exactly what is coming next and I also like not having to stop and catch my breath or being sore all of which I know will happen when I move up a level.
So here is my question when I finish level one. Do I start doing level 2 and just do level 2 or are you suppose to do level one then level two consecutively?
