Make it a great day everybody!

Hey everyone

ak- congrats on the pounds lost! So happy for you it seems like your on the right track.
Philly- I do laundry everyday I got body revolution and was thinking to do it after 30 day shred, I read online it's good to mix up interval training with cardio. So one day do body revolution and the next cardio only, that's what I'm planning to do.

L2D11 done! I'm so excited, only 19 days left i can't believe this, but I lost 3 lbs! I hope it doesn't change tomorrow lol

Good luck everyone

PhillyGirl & Exhale - I'm so jealous of the warm weather you are having! My whole family's over on the East Coast & they say it feels like summer already. Enjoy it!

Angelsmom - Thanks! I'm feeling good about my plan and hoping it will be the right one for me. And a big congrats to you for losing THREE POUNDS! Very impressive, and definitely a big motivator to stay on plan and keep moving all week. I'm proud of you!

Today I did 40 minutes of "weight loss" Pilates and think I just about died. I've never done Pilates before and have been off the exercise bandwagon for a while, so I'm thinking I maybe should have started out with something lighter. I did the whole workout, even though I couldn't quite do as many reps or stretch as far as the instructor was doing. Thankfully I was just doing it On Demand at home because there were many moments I felt like calling the instructor some choice names. It's crazy to see how far she can stretch. At one point she told me to just stand up from a sitting position without using my hands. I don't think so, lady! Not yet, anyway.

Well, I'm off to get ready for work. Unfortunately, the woman I usually give a ride to has to bring her kids in to work today and I am SO not looking forward to 40 minutes in the car with them screaming, and her screaming at them. I miss my peaceful, solitary commutes.

Happy Monday, all, and keep staying on track! You can do it!

Angelsmom...yay to body revolution! Your body composition is much smaller than mine so you might not have the issues I'm having with some of the moves. I'm about to jump off of that bandwagon and onto another one...les mills body pump. Back to Body Revolution...Jillian really did a lot of work in putting together that program. About your one day on...one day off approach...she structured the program to give the muscles worked two days of rest before working them again. One circuit is done say on a Monday which works the front muscles, the second circuit on the following day which works the back muscles and cardio the third day. That circuit that was done on Monday gets repeated on Thursday...the second on friday and cardio on saturday. The workouts change every two weeks. The rest period is meant to allow your muscles to recuperate. Believe me, we on the facebook group look forward to cardio days. If you do facebook and want to join the group let me know and I'll send you an invite. It's not Jillian's page, but a user created page. It's a very active group with over 200 members.

ak812...noooo...it's way too soon for this temperature and its going to go back down to normal in a couple of days. My sinuses will be taken for a whirlwind.

Exhale, the day's halfway over. How are you doing with the points?

Philly, you make me smile....I have 12 of my 27 points left...thank you for asking So much better than yesterday. I'm planning egg whites w/mushrooms and a green smoothie and maybe an english muffin for dinner, so I'll be good today. I'm also looking at Leslie's 'walk away the miles' dvd - the 5-mile one. This looks like fun; I'll give it a try...

What I also decided to do is switch to potato chips + plain popcorn instead of fatty sweets. Less sugar, and hopefully less addictive quality for me, because I really don't like the bloat! I read somewhere that the fat + sweet is a very very bad combo. I found out that I can make plain popcorn using a brown paper 'lunch bag'. It came out pretty good... So hopefully it won't be a daily thing, but I gotta get off the sweets...

Will be very happy for the temp to 'drop and give me 20 less'.

Enjoy the rest of the day. I'm gonna put on my sneakers and join this party.

Philly-I'd like to join as soon as I'm done with 30 D, but Im afraid ill only be doing maybe 6 weeks before I leave for vacation.. Do you think I should wait till I come back?

Angel...I don't know. Six weeks is a good amount of time into the program. If it were me I think I'd still start. If I felt like I lost momentum I would to another week of the programs I was on before advancing.

Bunneh...good to see you! Stop being a stranger.

LOL...you should've know I would ask. I told my girlfriend about your points the other day and she laughed and wondered what you ate for all your points to be gone. Moot point now, but I'm glad you are doing better today. I started making my own popcorn. I'm trying to get away from microwaving. I bought a mister whirley pop. It's a stove top popcorn pot. I like that I can flavor the oil and it mixes nicely with the popcorn because of the turn mechanism. I make it with coconut oil so there's no need or want for butter. I bought nutritional yeast flakes to try on the popcorn. I haven't made any this weekend though so I didn't try the flakes.

Sweets are my fav too! I made chocolate coconut almond clusters this weekend and they were freakin awesome! I watched the cooking channel as Paula Dean and guest made all kinds of buttery foods with one being butter pecan ice cream. I so want to make my own ice cream and that will happen very soon. I'm looking into coconut and vanilla at the moment. Can you tell I need a sweet detox program....lol.

Any chance of passing that recipe along? Sounds delicious. lol I think you and I both need a sweet detox program, PhillyGirl. I do find that the less sweets I eat, the less I want, but the problem is getting it all out of my system to start with.

Angelsmom - Thanks for the link. I think PhillyGirl has mentioned that site before, it seems like a wonderful resource. Good luck with the Body Revolution. My instinct is to say start it. 6 weeks is a good chunk of time, and after vacay you can always scale back until you regain momentum, like Philly said. Where are you going for vacation?

Exhale - Good job with the points today! Always a nice feeling to get back on track. I also want to try Leslie's 5 mile walk - let me know what you think of it if you start before me! I have an option On Demand to do either a 2 or 3 mile walking workout (not Leslie, someone else) so I may just combine those to get a total of 5. Will let you know how it goes.

Almost halfway through Monday, ladies! Actually almost DONE with Monday for you East Coasters.

And I just ate the last of those delicious treats. My sister wrote on my blog to save her some....mmmmk. I'll just make more when she visits this weekend.

Ak, I got the recipe from paleomg.com. I made half a batch. I added almonds to mine, more coconut and less coconut butter. She follows the principals of the paleo diet. I don't, but I like the whole foods approach. I also made the brownies using sweet potato. I wasn't a fan. I like them with black beans much better. You could tell with the sweet potato, but not at all with the black beans.

Adding a wonderful youtube channel to the resource list. It's called BeFitin90 and it gives you a 90 day workout program....what?! I can't believe they had the resources to do this and its FREE!

Somebody remind me why I keep buying workouts?

Thank you so much for the link - the pics of those look just amazing.

I've been feeling annoyingly hungry at work for the past couple of hours (after lunch) but I think it's more that I'm tired and bored rather than actually hungry. Hoping to keep my energy up enough to make the crustless chicken broccoli quiche & roasted green beans I've got planned for this evening. Both recipes come from the "diet recipe" section of 3FC. Anyone try them before?

Another question - has anyone here ever done or is going to do the upcoming Biggest Loser challenge on the site? I signed up a few days ago & am really looking forward to it. Would be curious to know what others' thoughts about it are!
