+15.5 miles for the week. I feel as though I'm really straining to do 6 miles -- it's so hard! And I did 26.2 only a month ago!
Today's fun factoid: the nail on my right second toe has separated from the nailbed...I don't know what to do! Do I cut it off? Have a podiatrist deal with it? I'm terrified it's going to catch on something *squick*
EZ - Can she walk the half or the full, I think that would as much fun as running it (maybe more, you can carry a beer without sloshing it)...
Jo she could walk one or a half...we did walk a marathon in 2001...it's just the miles of training each day we need to do...too much for our mutts and us somedays. Her original plan was to do one leg of the relay 8-5-8-5.2.....have 4 of us run the relay pacing my daughter while she did all 26.2

I live in OREGON. Usually summer lasts a week, max. It is so unnaturally hot here this week dh wants to keep our daughter home from Farm camp. I trust the people who run it to scale back the full sun activities to manage the heat and ramp up the otter pops and water.
Sometimes I have depression issues and I can feel it looming. I wanted to sleep all day. But I did 2 miles and it really helped. When I can force myself to be productive, it helps. I hate feeling this way. Crawling into bed for a month won't help.

I hate those feelings, but like you I've learned that no matter how much I want to just stay under the covers it won't make me feel better -- it will make me feel worse. Good job getting out there and running. Feel better.
I'm up to 444. I didn't run while on vacation, and I think my calf appreciates it. I've decided to do a 10K in October, so I anticipate that I will make my goal, even though I am behind schedule.
Thanks, Jo. It was a rough week, but I'm better now!
Looking hot, Dixie!!
Hey Shannon, I was arguing with myself about running this morning. I really haven't run much this week and I was trying to convince myself it was ok to sleep in and run at 2 pm (yeah---in 97 degree heat!! smart one!) and I told myself that "Shannon has probably already finished her run by now." So I hauled my rear out of bed. 3 miles! Woohoo!!
Helllooo all! SF was fantastic, I really enjoyed the half despite all the hills, I finished in 2:05 but didn't feel too tried at the end. I took it easy since I was on vacation. My dad did the full in 3:06 and finished 92nd overall . It started at 530am and it was reallly foggy, couldn't even tell we were approaching the Golden gate bridge. It went along the fishermans warf, over the bridge, and finished in golden gate park. It was soo cold there! Anyways now I'm back home and slowly getting back into routine...
Midwife good job! Whenever I feel down running always makes it better, even then it's hard convincing myself to get out the door sometimes.
