Wow... I haven't posted anything here since I got sick a few weeks ago and had a big ten day no exercise gap. Here is some catch up:
9/18 - 2.5 miles, elliptical
9/21 - 5.5 miles, bike
9/22 - 2.5 miles, elliptical
9/24 - 1.0 mile, treadmill sprints
No park time the last few weeks with the sick and then the rains in GA. Hope to get back out this week.
I'm sitting at 869 miles year to date. I've broken 100 miles for September, the first >100 mile month since May! Now if it would just get a LITTLE cooler out ....
My victory this month is not missing any runs despite the fact that I'm working massive amounts of overtime. What doesn't get taken out in taxes will be going for new running shoes and other fitness accessories.
I clocked 108 miles in September - my second-best mileage month all year!(second to March which was 116 miles) We are seriously into the marathon training season, with 13 miles planned for Sunday. My first half marathon will be Nov 15. Oh, and this morning's run puts me at 875.5 year to date. Geeze, I should get new shoes again pretty soon ....
I set up a nifty little spreadsheet to track the miles back in January. It lets me know exactly how many miles per day I need to run in order to finish 1000 miles by December 31. Currently I must do 3.97 miles a day in order to finish. I think at the start of the year it was 2.78? I know I can do 4 miles a day with no problem, unless I get sicker (I'm fighting a cold) or just plain lazy. I'm starting to think crazy thoughts about attempting 100 miles a month next year.
