I left my run for the night but the golden globes are on and thinking I might skip out tonight.

9.5 miles today! A new record distance wise. I wanted to do 10, but I miscalculated my route. I really want to run a half marathon soon, so I'm just trying to increase my distance slowly to that magic number 13.

I got in some great mileage this weekend -- 5 mile run and 9.5 miles kayaking on Saturday, 12 mile long run on Sunday, 5.3 miles on the treadmill this morning --that brings me to: 46.8 running miles, and 17.5 kayak miles so far!

Thank you, not that I can take credit as my parents gave it to me with zero input from me (it's my middle name, too, by the way).

As to "elegant" and "classic" -- the name certainly is, but I'm anything but. By rights my middle name should be "Clumsylita" or perhaps "Snarkithorea". Or "Oniongarlica".

I've come to a conclusion over the weekend...I NEED CARBS! I decided to add carbs (whole grain variety) back into my diet and this morning I went out for the MOST AWESOME 6 miler! I felt like I could have run forever and since I've been LC'ing for the past month and a half it's been torture just trying to get 3.5-4.5 miles in. I really need carbs. Heading downstairs for a 3 mile walk at work now!

I did my first run with my GPS watch thingy and it was awesome, I'm having trouble using the software to download the data but I'll figure it out. 7.88 miles for me today. I think I'm in love with this thing.

RunnerKim: I'm glad you had a good run today. I've found its the quality of the carbs that helps, I can't run on junk but brown rice, oatmeal, ezekiel bread, fruits or veggies are a must at least an hour before I run.

Crud, I keep forgetting to post here. I'm up to 38 miles as of this morning.

I changed things up a little this weekend and added in three miles of biking. As soon as spring hits, which should be any day now here in FL, I'm going to buy a new bike and hit the roads. I can't wait.

The obsession with my forerunner 305 begins, I decided to do another 2.2 to make it a nice roundish 10.08 for the day. This thing is amazing, my body feels ok, I've only done back to back 10 mile runs on treadmill. We'll see how I feel on my hill workout tomorrow.

4.0 miles today at the park. Walked .5, Ran 2, Walked .5, Ran .5, Walked .75, Ran .25. Wow, that sounds complicated when I write it down. Longest I've ever done, though, so I'm proud of that.

6 miles in today.

I was really disappointed with my weigh in today. I started winter break at 135 (after falling off the wagon for an entire school semester), got down to 132ish, and today I was I was over 135 again. I've ran almost 50 miles since the New Year... so I guess it's just frustrating not seeing tangible evidence. Bleh. I'll just keep trucking along until I see some results.
