  • It's my therapy too! I feel 100 times better than I did driving home from work. 5 tread miles.
  • 2 more miles today, bringing me up to 11 since Sunday.
  • 3.2 miles! Woohoo!
  • I'm really struggling! I think the weather has got me down. I had to force myself to do 4 miles lastnight, hopefully I can get in at least 6 tonight... I can't believe I'm already losing steam, I need some motivation!

    You and me both I've taken 3 days off in the last week and today I have no desire to run. I'm glad I started out so motivated that I've passed my monthly goal thanks to my garmin obsession. I knew this would happen eventually. I blame the cold weather, its kept me on the treadmill for my past 5 runs, I just can't take it anymore.
  • I've been sick for days and couldn't run anywhere. (Well, except to the bathroom ).

    Finally got my butt moving today for 1.5 miles but it was HARD!!! Now I've got to get in 12.5 miles more before the end of the month.
  • It's really tough to run in bad weather! What I find is helpful is doing a *little* bit of something -- just enough to remind myself that I like to get my body moving, that I need to keep up the practice, and hopefully keep up my mood (because I've found exercise is *really* helping my mood).

    Yesterday: 1.5 miles on the treadmill. After an hour of weights, it was all I could drag out of myself.
  • Two more miles on the bike and one on the elliptical, for the first time in four years. I was so proud.
  • Jackie there's hope! Today it was -10 with little wind and I had a fabulous run! 7 miles for me. I'm in massive amounts of pain because lots of hills and the transition from the treadmill to outdoors is painful. No matter how many incline intervals I do etc. nothing can mimic the outdoors.
  • 1.5 in today. Maybe it's TMI but i'm doing a detox cleanse right now and running isn't good for my insides at the moment... hahaha
  • sm: I'm the same way about transitioning to the outdoors I find it strange that there are people who run better outdoors than they do on the treadmill, I wish that were me that is not the case. Great Job getting out there.

    I procastinated all day and went to the Y to run, its still snowing and what I would be doing out there would not be running so I've decided to cut my loses and stick with it. Another 12.01 miles.

    I've promised my self that I will run trails in the spring. I used to do a bit of sporadic trail running about 3 years ago but never bothered to get trail shoes. Does anyone have a brand they recommend?

    2 outside with 3lb handweights. wanted 6 but dh staying home and 2yr old being up at 4am kinda got in the way. (ok, I let it get in the way. )

    But I am good and sweaty now. And am trying to power out 2 more hiit on tread later. I have some tivo shows to keep my boredom somewhat at bay.
