I did my 3rd half marathon of this running season (2 more planned) -- adding 13.1 miles plus my other runs this week brings me to 90.1 miles year to date! I also went kayaking yesterday, for a total of 29.4 paddling mile so far.
The half marathon was a bit ugly ... I just had a bad day. Maybe I was insufficiently rested from running a hard 10K the week before (set a
PR) or maybe my fueling/hydration was off. In any case, it was a real struggle to make 2:12, and I'm happy to just be done Some days are just like that. It was 10 minutes off my best pace, but heck it still is a half hour faster than where I started out a few years ago .... Next one is 4 weeks away, so I'll have some recovery and training time.
