Thanks Tea for your meal plan! I love seeing other people's meal plans.

Well, it's day #3 on my 1300 calorie diet. I'm still hungry, but not as bad as day #1 and #2. Hopefully it gets better. I have my 2-lb loss giving me major motivation!

Today
- speed walked 30 min
- ran on treadmill 30 min

maybe cut out about 250 calories per day until you can start running again?

Hi everyone! Good Monday morning!

Saturday I ran/walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes, did the cross trainer for 15 minutes.

Yesterday I had every intention of working out, but was hit with a migraine so spent most of the afternoon/evening in bed. Oh well. Today is a new day!

Morning ladies:

Today I will exercise while I watch Biggest Loser. I did not exercise yesterday. I like having a place where I can be honest.

I wouldn't rank today's elliptical/abs dvd workout session in my Top Ten of All Time exercise sessions but it was better than yesterday!

tuesday's workout session:

* 55 minutes on the elliptical machine
* 10 minutes walking
* abs pilates dvd

I didn't lose a lot of weight in the past three weeks, so people on/off this forum suggested I up my caloric intake to 1,500 from my usual 1,200-1,300 daily caloric intake. So I had 1,500 calories yesterday and I'll have it again by the end of this evening.

I'm feeling a bit nervous about doing that, but I understand sometimes your body needs more fuel in order to lose weight effectively and not think its being "starved."

I'm just one of those people that gains weight even by looking at a magazine photograph of a plate of brownies I'll see what my trainer suggests when I go see her on wednesday

what do you guys think?

Hi Tea! Well, I would say it's worth a try. It helps to shake things up a bit. I remember when I was on Weight Watchers, we would do this thing called "the Wendie plan" when we plateaued. It was basically calorie cycling, with one high day and then cycling the other days. Here is the link. If you are not familiar with points, basically 22 points would be 1200 calories, 23 points 1300 calories, etc.

http://www.stormpc.com/ww/wendie_plan.htm

For me, no exercise since last week as I got a cold last Thursday and am finally recovering today. Tomorrow I will run.

Hello! May I join? I don't really do the treadmill. But, I have been doing the elliptical for 5 days a week for 60 minutes since March 23rd. My plan is to do the elliptical 5 days a week for 60 minutes and weight train 5 days a week for approx. 30 minutes a day. M,W,F I work on my upper body and T,Th I work on my lower body. I take Sunday and Monday off. But, I try to walk my dog for at least 30-40 minutes a day for 7 days a week.

Whew, just typing/reading that sounds like a lot! But I am proud of myself for not giving up! I am coming down with a cold. I couldn't breathe through my nostrils this morning, BUT I still managed to head to the gym and workout! Needless to say, my mouth was dry as the desert, and everyone could probably hear me huffing and puffing along, BUT I DID IT!

I do have a question, will the elliptical be "enough" for cardio? I used to take aerobic classes offered at my gym (for cardio), but the times conflict with my schedule. The elliptical can be tedious, but luckily my workout mix on my IPod helps me pull through. LOL!

If I can walk when I wake up tomorrow morning, then we're back in business. On Monday I decided to test the waters by getting back on the treadmill for a gentle jog, against medical advice. And I felt ok the next morning. So today, I kinda probably pushed things too far by doing 4.5 mile jog and almost a mile walking, all very slowly. I was careful to stretch a lot beforehand, taped up my legs, stretched and iced afterwards, but I can already sorta feel that I may have overdone it. Oh well, guess tomorrow will tell. I'm reaaaally crossing my fingers that things are back on track. I totally overate today but because I ran, I am not too panicky.

sws19-- *I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya!*
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
wednesday's workout session (finally had a good day exercising!):

* 55 minutes on the elliptical machine (not including warming up/cooling down)
* resistance training

FORGET trying to do the buns & thighs pilates dvd or additional walking!

I kicked major butt on the elliptical machine!! Got my heart rate up an average of 140 for the entire session on the elliptical and I just was drenched with sweat afterward. I do confess that alllllllllllll through my session on the elliptical machine, I had the mentality of "I wanna get OFF!!!" "Pretty Pluzzzzzzz?!" LOL. But I did it!

Now my butt & thighs are telling me some aleve might be a good idea after doing the leg press machine today!
