I felt frustrated monday... so I did:
An HOUR's worth of walking at 7.5 incline level & at 4.2 mph (not counting warming up or cooling down) instead of my usual 45 minutes. (* I also did my winsor pilates dvd for the legs beforehand.)

Hi Mercee--
Congrats on losing 2 lbs!!!
To answer your question: throughout the process of losing weight, I've always counted calories.
After I had gallbladder surgery (due to gallstones) at a near 307 lbs, I started a vegetarian diet and then shifted to vegan to help accommodate my body's reaction to eating foods after the removal of my gallbladder.
Nowadays, I follow "The Rosedale Diet" by Dr. Ron Rosedale.
It's basically a normal diet but with attention to smaller amounts of starchy carbs in a person's diet on a daily basis (*starchy foods and sugar are my choice of drug if you will

so I just removed 'em from my diet for the time being... sure helps!).
Contrary to what people think, it's not a version of Atkins (a plan I've never been wild about, fyi). I just eat a lotta veggies & lean poultry & fish, olives, nuts, etc. It's more Mediterranean than anything.
If I may ask, what eating plan are you on?
Hope this helps!
