Ouch, TOM is doing a number on me! I'm up another pound today, and that's after walking for hours and sticking to my diet during my town's pumpkin festival yesterday! No fun. Is it possible to gain weight just walking down the street smelling pumpkin pie, cake, ice cream, brownies, fudge, cookies, bread, doughnuts, etc.? Lol! I think I probably need to drink more water today.

BFR, hang in there!
Campana, great news on losing a lb! As soon as I read that you had three plates at the buffet, I thought "uh-oh." But sometimes I think our metabolism needs a jolt. Apparently, it worked for you!
Hoopty, way to go getting back on plan! Keep it up!
Minneey, just stick to it and that scale will start moving for you again! Have fun, but not too much fun, at your afternoon tea!
Tuscany, keeping my fingers crossed for you to see a drop!
183, yay, you're headed in the right direction again! Keep going!
Turtle, lol! Thanks for the whoosh fairy work order!
Thanks to everyone sending the whoosh wishes. I am getting a bit desperate for some progress now. Insanity workout regime is seriously intense and the lack of movement is demoralising me!
On a more joyous note, today has been a good day - took some leave from work and feel good for having some time to breathe (or pant as it was during insanity this morning)!

Another OP day for me as well! I should start working out again, though. Haven't lifted any weights in almost 2 weeks, I think.
My Mom told me today that I had gained weight. And it wasn't the nice kind of way, you know. We were looking through pictures of this past weekend and I said that my hand looked fat in one of them. My mom just straight up said "that's because you gained weight" with that disgusted look, almost trying to spite me. Gah, that didn't feel good. But it motivated me even more to be healthy.

Tuscany - Tell me about it... I started out at 142 lbs in April, slowly made my way down to 137 lbs in mid-August and now I'm here, at 146.8 lbs this morning. It's the emotional eating and not being able to get back on plan that gets in the way every. single. time. I'm doing it to myself which is terrible but I am trying. Since we're the same height, too - how many calories do you consume and how often do you work out? I'm always curious about what other girls on here do.
Jacqui D - Thanks girl! TOM is always a pain in the boootay but I think water will definitely help flush the excess water out, though that just sounded really weird
Well, I blew my diet out of the water yesterday! I've put back on everything I lost last month. I only hope it temporary and while my body gets over the shock of my indulgence. Hah! Oh well, I'm off to walk to uni and back to submit my assignment (Yay, 2 left this semester ).
Turtle: You’re hanging in there and staying in the 150’s. And thanks for the note from the HR Fairy (LOL!)
Jacqui: TOM will soon be over and your scales will make you happy again.
Joy: You and I are equally stuck in neutral.
Minneey: You have also been stuck for a while. I hope you get a whoosh soon!
183StGB: You continue to do well with your losses.
Woodstock: You’re back in the 140’s…way to go!
Sum: You’ll lose again soon.
Hoopty: My calories range from 1,200 to 1,400…it varies a bit from day to day, but I rarely go under 1,200 and rarely go over 1,400. As for exercise, I typically average about 90 minutes a day (mostly cardio). That said, I’m 55 years old, which I suspect is a lot older than you. At my age, I need to eat less and exercise more to lose the same amount of weight as someone younger.
BEWARE, rare rant ahead: TOM, you son-of-a-gun! I have gained another pound! At this rate, in a couple of days, I'll weigh 190 again! The fact that I am being so good during our town's pumpkin festival makes it doubly unfair. Yes, I plan to load up on pumpkin treats on Saturday, my cheat day, but until then, I have been patiently sticking to plan, and that's while everyone around me is feeding their faces with heavenly pumpkin delights and devilish concession stand foods. Why this week, TOM? Why are you testing my patience this week? It turned cold yesterday, so I did make crockpot chili, and I ate two big bowls for lunch and dinner in an effort to stay warm, so it's possible the beans in it are causing me to hold additional water. But I also drank plenty of water yesterday, as well as two cups of green tea. Apparently that didn't help. I have gained 3.5 lbs in just 5 days! All I have to say is I had better have a BIG whoosh at the end of this torture! Not a baby whoosh , not a mama whoosh , but a BIG DADDY whoosh !!! Rant over. Lol!

Tuscany, I'm sure you'll see a drop soon! Your body's just realigning itself.
Rhiko, just jump back on the wagon! It''ll be okay!
Hoopty, hahaha! Your reply to me just cracked me up!
Minneey, hang in there! There is a still a lot of time left in the month to make goal!
Good Morning all!! I see that it is slow going for many while others are doing fantastic! I just wanted to stop by and say that I have found that this site and you ladies are one of the main things that I need to stick to my diet. I have been super busy this week so I have not visited for several days. As a result I have eaten VERY badly!! I still exercised but its no where near where I was the last few weeks. I am dreading my weigh in tomorrow and will probably be up a few pounds. But I am back to it! I will visit daily again and I will get over this slump!! Thanks for listening
The late night mexican obviously isn't helping. Although I did have a chicken taco salad without the fried bowl and without sour cream. Its the chips and salsa that get me everytime. Does anyone ever refuse the free chips and salsa? I'm thinking about it for next time. And now I have lunch at Max & Ermas. I'll be chugging my lemon water all day and night. I want to be back in the 150s!!!!!

Down .3 today. I'm focusing on staying OP this week. More then one "carrot" was dangled in front of me yesterday (co-workers going out for drinks and significant other came home with take out while I was eating my salad (LOL)) and I resisted temptation - such a new but liberating concept for me!
Minneey - the scale will react soon, meanwhile, I bet you are seeing a drop in measurements from all of your hard work!!
Tuscany - what a great attitude as always, your diligence will pay off soon!
Jacqui - big daddy woosh is on order, please stand by!!! (ps - great job resisting all the pumpkin fest goodies!)
Hoopty - if you find time to squeeze in some weights I bet it will help with the motivation - keep up the great work!!
SUM - congrats on reaching goal, way to get it done!!!
Edited to add that it actually didn't feel liberating last night, and the take out put me in a bad mood. But today it feels good and the power of being able to make that decision feels liberating now. I will work on how it feels "at the time"
