Yay! A 76! I assume I should credit all the good things I've done the last few days and not the rare glass of wine I had last night.
SW: 77.35kgs
CW: 76.9 (-0.35)
GW: 76
Rhiko: drink lots of water! I also recommend taking a look at why that happened and what you could do differently next time. Besides helping next time, that kind of evaluation helps me right now because it reminds me why I'm doing this and why I want to keep doing it.
Turtle11: We have refused the chips and salsa. I think others must do it as well, because some restaurants ask before bringing it now. Another trick that works for me is to say, "I'll have three chips and that's it." That works especially well if I put the three on the little plate and then push the basket far away on the table.
Woodstock: I love your observation that it feels liberating now, even though it didn't at the time. Just noticing that will make a difference, I think, in your ability to feel it in the moment.

Yes, I plan to load up on pumpkin treats on Saturday, my cheat day, but until then, I have been patiently sticking to plan, and that's while everyone around me is feeding their faces with heavenly pumpkin delights and devilish concession stand foods. Why this week, TOM? Why are you testing my patience this week? It turned cold yesterday, so I did make crockpot chili, and I ate two big bowls for lunch and dinner in an effort to stay warm, so it's possible the beans in it are causing me to hold additional water. But I also drank plenty of water yesterday, as well as two cups of green tea. Apparently that didn't help. I have gained 3.5 lbs in just 5 days! All I have to say is I had better have a BIG whoosh at the end of this torture! Not a baby whoosh , not a mama whoosh , but a BIG DADDY whoosh !!! Rant over. Lol!

Tuscany, I'm sure you'll see a drop soon! Your body's just realigning itself.
Rhiko, just jump back on the wagon! It''ll be okay!
Hoopty, hahaha! Your reply to me just cracked me up!
Minneey, hang in there! There is a still a lot of time left in the month to make goal!
Woodstock, good job!
Joy, fingers still crossed for you!

Miss Jacqui_D!!!!
You WILL get there, keep the Faith. It's trying time for me too, but I know that I'm eating better than I have most of my adult life, and some weeks can be up and others down, but the trend, even if it's slowly is "DOWN and to the right" which is what we need as dieters. (That would be tragic in the stock market of course! )
At least you still have your TOM, which could be some of the water weight you are experiencing. As I told you before, I don't even getta blame my TOM, I'm in menapause now, I think, because my Aunt Flo hasn't been seen at my house in well over a year.
You'll get there, and I'm here right beside you and if you didn't live several hours drive away, I'd switch MY cheat day to Saturday just so I could share your special day with you at the pumpkin festival.

Finally a move away from 142. Not exhaling yet in case it makes a nightmare return. Motivation to stay on plan this weekend is fear of returning to ghastly 142. Will celebrate more fully on Monday if I've seen the back of it.

Go Sum!! Wow! Well done... That's amazing
Hang in there Tuscany... Keep plodding away. Change is a coming...
Hoopty, your last post really touched me. Get those weights going. If you feel strong on the outside you'll feel more empowered and tough on the inside. My class instructor always shouts 'you are a machine!!' when my muscles are burning and I feel like my legs are going to explode...
Jacqui, you must be spitting feathers! What goes up must come down tho... Reckon it is only temp hiccup!
Willpower Woodstock - way to go! So hard to be disciplined at the time but that feeling of making a good decision is so much better than the binge/bad decision guilt right? Good advice on the measurements too - didn't take any and regretting it. Have some 'before' shots tho! Looking forward to November 1st and comparing!

What happened was a Dominoes pizza lol It was meant to be my 'Yay, I made it to 65kgs' reward, but it turned into a nightmare instead. Lesson learned, trust me!
___
I weighed myself today and I'm down to 65.6 kgs. PHEW! I'm walking everywhere to make up for my slip up and hopefully I'll get into the 64s this month. Never.Doing.That.Again!

236.8, up almost 3 pounds Oh well I am sure some of that is water so I will just keep at it and try my hardest not to slip anymore for a while. I wont say never because I know they will happen but I will work hard. Its nice to know that I can come here and be honest and not be judged for my slips
Oh and I am NOT going to change my tickers because it will not stay up!

Tuscany - Yeah whoosh fairy!!! I knew she'd show up
Joy - I do like the chips, and I hate to deny anything regarding food, it makes me resent losing weight. I think I'll try your 3 chip rule, then push them to the other side of the table.
Jacqui - Stay Strong It'll come off in a whoosh very soon. Did you add a new workout in? Sometimes you can retain water that way.
Minneey - yeah no more 141
Rhiko - Dominos can be a killer. I actually have a list of non food related rewards. I'm trying not to associate food with anything other than fuel. (Its not totally working, but I'm trying)
healthytobe - Welcome !!
Southern - its probably water, drink a ton today. I like adding lemon and lime sometimes.
Sum - You are unbelievable this month!!!
Hoopty - Family can be the hardest sometimes with weight. They feel like they can be more "honest" because they are family. Do you lift heavy weights? I'm thinking about starting.
woodstock - Sounds very liberating. I do have a "control" problem, and feeling like I am in control of what I eat is important to me.

Hi Healthytobe! Good to have you!
Yay Joy!! I'm so happy for you! You've worked hard and waited patiently for that 76! Great job! Love the new low!
Tuscany, woohoo! fantastic on the 2 lb drop!
Amanda, I'm with you. I never change my tickers to reflect up because unless I plan to quit (and I don't!) I know it's going to go back down where it should be, minus the water weight!
Turtle, glad to see you dropped back down! And I'm just walking. I've gone from walking a path to walking around town and walking to the Leslie Sansone videos, but still, it's just walking, so I don't think that's the reason. It's probably just a combination of TOM and the sodium in chili beans over the last few days.
183, hopefully that maintenance is just for today and then you'll be on the move down again!
Woodstock, lol! I'm standing by! Good for you resisting temptation!
MrsKevin, you're so sweet! Thank you!
Minneey, yay! 141! Now run away quick! (Other way, lol! >>>)
Rhiko, good job! Keep it going!
Sum, you go, girl!
So, I'm down half a lb today. I'll take it. I hope it continues over next week, but tomorrow is cheat day and as reluctant as I am now to go through with it, the pumpkin festival is here only once a year, and I've waited patiently all week for this cheat day, so I'm using it. I probably just won't go as crazy as I had hoped to. I'll have to pick and choose my absolute favorite pumpkin treats to indulge in!
