Good morning, all. I hope you had a nice weekend. I had an end-of-summer ice cream cone from our favorite ice cream place yesterday and, you know what? It wasn't really that great. In fact, it kind of sucked. So, that was 300 calories that I didn't need, but I'm not beating myself up about it.

I'm going out to dinner with a friend tonight, so that will be more calories than I'm trying to stick with, but their menu is online and I'm going to choose something that is lower in calories.

1: DNW
2: DNW
3: 207.6 (1610 calories)
4: 206.6 (1730 calories)
5: 205.2 (1695 calories)

7: 204.0 (1956)
8: 203.8 (DNT)
9: 204.4 (1715)

Hi all! Hopefully, this week will be less busy and less stressful than last week! I was stuck at 197 until last Thursday and then on Friday, I had a whoosh and was back down to 195, and on Saturday, that dropped to 194.5. Saturday, though, was my cheat day. Yesterday, I didn't weigh, but this morning I was at 196. At least it's not 197!

Pixikat, thanks! I do hope you feel better. That deep cough has been going around here as well. I hope you are over it very quickly!

Rhiko, Pre-TOM cravings always hit me too. They are so hard to resist! Eat the minimum junk of what you have to in order to get through them, and then get right back to plan, and don't beat yourself up about it. You have to find a way that works best for you that you can keep up long-term and if eating a bit of junk because of pre-TOM keeps you going overall, make it a part of your plan and you won't fall off the big wagon. I do hope whatever else you are having to deal with right now works itself out.

Cheeri, you go girl! You are killing it again this month! Woohoo!

Leah, my fingers are crossed for you to enter the 140's by the 28th!

Thanks Emme! Nice job planning for the dinner out by calling up the online menu!

Joy, can ragweed season make you stall? I've never had allergies, but I've heard you can develop them as you age, and I've woken up with a scratchy throat and runny nose every morning for the last few days, but I don't have an all-out cold, so it makes me wonder. I do hope you feel better soon!

Turtle, I know! I can only hope I am past the 197 now, although because I'm still so close to it, I won't be surprised if I hit it again! At least you have a chance at getting into the lower 160's. I don't think I have any chance at this point of making goal this month, but hey, let's both keep chugging away at it!

SouthernBell, I'm proud of you for sticking to plan despite your frustration! Great job! Keep it up!

Tereh, way to go! You are doing great!

Looking good, BFR!

Tavvy, I hope you had a good vacation, and I hope the scale brings great news on Sunday!

I have no idea how this happened but I'm not going to stress over it. I'm going to keep on doing what I've been doing. But I think I do need to drink way more water also!! I hit my first mini goal of 233 and then over the weekend, something happened. I'll lose it soon!

My first weigh-in on this challenge.

9/8/13 Starting weight: 154.4
9/15/13 Week 1: 148.4 (-6 lbs)

I am sure this is mostly water weight, and the weight loss will slow, but it is nice to start and see some downward movement. I am now mentally prepared for the loss to stall, and then very, very slowly (like .25 lbs per week), continue. I almost don't want to say anything for fear of jinxing it.

To everyone, thank you for the pleasure of participating in this challenge, we'll hang in there together!

Grover, try not to stress about it too much. It could be anything. Stay focused...you'll be back down before you know it!

Well, I went out to eat last night and had a delicious 480 meal, but I split the appetizer with my friend and when I got home and looked at the calorie count, my portion was 505 calories!! Holy crap! Big fail on my end. Oh well. I'll know better next time. There's just something about being in a restaurant and being so hungry that you want to eat the appetizer b/c you need to eat NOW! Ha ha

My calories have been up way too high for the past two days, so it's time to reel it in and keep on keepin' on.

Turtle, you’re doing really well. I can’t wait to be in the 165’s but you are doing great! That water will help, I’m sure!

Jacqui_D: sure, allergies can make you stall. If you trust my research, which consists of one subject -- me! My allergist does say that allergies are systemic -- affecting your whole body, not just the part giving bothersome symptoms. So, it seems like it could happen.

I'm back to my starting weight today, 195.

Thanks Cheeri! Your words are very encouraging. Yes, the 190's are a big deal, even if I am growing weary of them. I have to not forget that. I do hope those 180's are calling my name though, lol!

Grover, the jump is no doubt water, and I see you are already on your way back down so good for you!

HBR, 6 lbs! Great job!

Emme, being up only .4 after a 505-calorie appetizer is not bad!

Looking good, Leah!

Lol, Joy, I think your research makes a lot of sense, even if you do have only one test subject.

All of you ladies are doing great !

Rhiko, I am jealous

Really! running almost 4 miles a day, your weight is going to start melting off like snow on an eighty degree day as your body firms up Wish I could run half that. Heck, I would be happy to be able to run half a mile now

Keep on trucking gals
