Ok, great! I'm 5'9" and in my 20s, but I say we give it a go, anyway. Race you to 150! Ready? Set? GO!

Pokey; OK, WAAAAAAAAAAY off the subject of weight loss . . . Every time I see your post (specifically Your Name: Pokey Cactus . . . I think one of two things . . . 1) (For all you old timers (SARGE), not to mention any names) I think about Pokey from Pokey and Gumby, old time cartoon, with a rubberized type man and horse . . . OR 2) I think about bending over and by BUTT-er gets POKED by a Cactus that's behind me . . . wHY DO I think such weird things????

OK, really need to bounce now

HAVE A GREAT BUTT-ER MELTING DAY EVERYONE!!!

Can I join you? I am 5'7 and in my 30s. I have a headstart with 183 but stalling like crazy. Maybe a challenge would get me out of the funk?

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

I am here because one day, I saw all of you in a parking garage; you were parkouring through the levels, up the walls and over the cars, systematically hunting down pounds of fat and assassinating them, bang bang bang. I decided it would be waaaaay safer to be running with you than in front of you!

(I know there are a few people on the waiting list ahead of me, but they want show quality black females only, and I am only looking for pet quality because I couldn't afford ANOTHER grand past pet price.) I am super excited about that. Thank you so much for asking! I'm sorry you're at odds with the scale right now. I think you are doing really well, though, so I'd just keep at it. If things don't improve soon, maybe try CCing for a week instead of WWing?
Awesome, awesome! I will keep my fingers crossed! I hope there is a little girl with a crooked smile ;-) Not show-pretty but cuter than ****! I can't believe how expensive they are (ANOTHER grand?)! WOW!

Uh well, I will get over it. The scale is just screwing with me because I use it so much since I started losing weight. Never looked at it before :-)
CCing instead of WWing? I don't know. CCing sounds scary... And I have a boyfriend who is WWing with me and heavily relies on me to figure out the points. Well, we will see if it keeps stalling, I might try something new.

Josey -- Of course you can join in! I'm going to have to go twice as hard to try to catch up to you, so that's perfect! And thank you for the well wishes on the puppy. I'm sure there will be some pet quality puppies in the litter, usually only two or three are show quality! And yeah, I can't believe how expensive they are either, but I did a lot of research to find a reputable breeder. (Think I'll rescue my next dog...) Good thing I'm on a waiting list...time to save! Oh, and on WWing vs CCing...I think CCing is a lot easier than it seems. I was really surprised when I started out. Helping the BF though is probably really good for keeping you on track. Maybe try doing both one week. That way you can see what your WW points are corresponding to calorie-wise.

Sarge -- Josey, HotPink and I are now engaged in a race to 150 lbs!

Oh hey, wait a second, I didn't think that through. 150lbs? That is even past my (extended) goal of 155lbs. Do you really want to go that far down? Aren't you taller than I am?

MadamB - I know Pokey and Gumby!!! I had some Pokey figurines as a kid, just because I liked horses. And, I can't tell you how many times I've fallen into a pokey cactus.... Once it was outside my office, and at the time I worked for a doctor. I had to go in and have him remove some of the pokeys under local anesthetic because some cacti in Arizona have "hooked" barbs on them...meaning they have a hook on the end, so they don't come out easily. Guess which kind I fell into?????

Yep, I'm 5'8.5" but I really think 135 is a realistic goal for me. I rowed lightweight in highschool and I was this height. I worked out all the time so I had a good bit of muscle. (Lightweight for crew is <135lbs) I picked the race to 150 because that is HotPink's goal, but we can make it 155 if you want to! If I get down to 145 or 150 and I am happy with myself, though, I may not go all the way. I won't let myself lose past 130 either.

Nah, you don't have to change the challenge for me. You two go ahead and I stealthily follow you guys but only to 155 :-)
My official goal is 165 since I would be ecstatic to hit normal BMI but 155 lbs would be nice I think. I don't think I want to go further though.

Yeesh, you leave the computer for awhile and then you find Pokey trying Skinny's parkour adventures into a cactus and new smack talk challenges. Can't keep up! Challenge board updated and added Dreamer to Race to 20. Y'all better be eating your Wheaties this week!

Skinny - When I started back to jogging this summer I had just missed a freerunning race...I wish it was now! I would totally try it!!! Who knows when they will have another around me.

All this talk about Pokey and Gumby has me thinking of Mr. Bill.
