  • I was so excited this morning when I weighed in. I hit a HUGE goal! I now have officially LESS than 100lbs. to lose
  • KittyK -- YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY YAAAAAAAY! on that goal!

Iamerican-- Say whaaaaaa?!?!?!?! You better have your fingers crossed that another in the platoon has your back on that gain...and then you're gonna have to repay the favor...you know, just like in The Godfather!

Gooey--I'm a tad nauseous with the image you left us of Commando Steve on top of Chuck Norris in Peanutt's basement. Pass the brain scrubber...

HARDCORE -- If you're lurking...you've fallen into our trap! We've closed the flanks, now we tighten the noose. Buwhahahahha!

Get you butt-ers out the door people. From some of the posts, or lack thereof, Sarge has a queasy feeling he's gonna see some numbers that make his eyes bleed this weekend. Hope he's wrong.

  • Sarge - Chuck Norris?!?! What did I miss?!

K3 - Bodybugg is a calorie counting system that you wear on your arm all day, and it is supposed to give you the number of calories you burn with 90% accuracy. I've had surprising results thus far - yesterday was a lighter day on the exercise and I burned 2911 calories; a lot more than I was expecting. So this goes to show that I definitely haven't been eating enough and have been stressing my body with a deficit of way over 1000 calories per day.

Chesh - I have a feeling I'll be following your example and falling asleep around 730 tonight...this week has made me just way too tired. Can't wait for this weekend to recharge.

MadamB - I bet you burn A LOT of calories, probably more than I do even. If you're interested, when I ordered mine on Sunday night, there were a few coupons available making the Bugg $139 w/free shipping. I felt like this was a pretty smoking deal, since they usually retail for around $200.

I had a super intense boxing workout this morning that is STILL kicking my BUTT-er, I'm just feeling rundown and tired today. Ready to sleep in tomorrow! I hope everyone is having a great Friday so far.
  • glad to see that everyone is doing so many are doing so good!

Ive been busy and frankly all the male testosterone in the body building group is, draining to say the least. BUT they get results so I keep checking in and going...uggg. no more huffing and puffing when running up the stairs is a good thing lol

So I have had much mental/emotional left in me to post here, but I do lurk and check on all lol
  • WTG, KittyKat!! That's awesome!

Pokey, I'm confused about Bodybugg vs. BodyMediaFit. I don't think I realized they were two different things.

Me1stAllways, good for you for holding your own amidst all the testosterone!

    K3, I covet your tomatoes!

Coming to the end of a good week. The weight loss has definitely slowed down, but I'm feeling more fit than I ever have. I've always had short, stubby, chubby legs, but now they're looking sleek and muscular. Can't do much about the short, but the rest of it is looking pretty good, as the hub is continually telling me.

I'm starting to get bored with my "go-to" meals. Anyone want to suggest something awesome for dinner?
  • kittyk- Nice weigh in. That is a great milestone to reach!

Sarge - I finally logged my mileage for the week. I'll add some more tomorow.

rmc - the bodybugg and bodymedia fit are very similar.

Pokey - everyone is different, but I have not had issues with 1200 - 1300 average deficit. I know the deficit is higher on my long run days, but it is much lower on my rest days.
  • RMC -- I am grilling chicken breast tonight that has been seasoned with olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, and Montreal steak seasoning. I'm also saute-ing some chopped onions and red peppers and after letting my chicken rest then dicing it up, I'm throwing it in with the vegetables. I then kind of divide the mixture up into little portions in the pan, put one slice of Boar's Head American cheese (.5 oz) on top of each portion, cover the pan so the cheese melts all over everything, then scoop it up and put it on toasted english muffins to make little sandwiches. Absolutely delicious (possibly my BFs favorite meal) and only around 250 calories. I usually make him some baked french fries and have a few of those with fresh fruit for my sides.

SARGE: Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww & Ohhhhhhhhhh NO Commando Steve on top of Chuck Norris . . . YES DEFINITELY THE BRAIN SCRUBBER & SOME DISINFECTANT . . . I'll never be able to look at Commando Steve the same . . . <sigh> DA*N YOU SARGE . . . (I'm just surprised my mind didn't go there first . . . LOLOLOLOL ) Other things on my mind . . . speaking of which

HardCoreChick: where are you darlin' . . . come out and plaaaaaaaaaaaaaay with me. I have something for youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Pokey: I have a fairly cheap HR monitor but it does track calories and grams of fat. So far today I've burned just over 1400 calories . . . BUT I'm on a mission today . . . Ummmm check back a few pages, but in a nutshell: Peanutt & hubby were "discussing" what kind of poster decor should go in the weight room. Hubby wants Chuck, Peanutt wants Commando Steve. I told Peanutt to put Commando Steve on Top of Chuck and SARGE's mind went to the gutter . . . AGAIN . . . I'm just I didn't think of it first . . . LOLOLOL

rmc: It's nice when your legs start looking skinny!!! Sarge has a GREAT pork recipe, easy too and YUMMY. Also try Gina's skinny recipes (google it) I also like spaghetti squash with whatever sauce you like, grilled zucchini and/or squash . . . or sweet potato, green beans

OK, mission not completely successful today, but there is still a lot of daylight and I'm almost finished refueling . . . the tank was running on empty . . . a few errands and then I'm off to work to workout in the GOOD GYM, but after all the therapeutic people leave . . . oh yea . . . I see you hardcore . . .

    OK, I'm off

  • Well, finals week is ALMOST over. I have my last final on Monday (for some reason) and then I fly out to Utah to help with my sister's wedding. My family are all vegans and all good cooks. It's a challenge every time I go home to turn down all of the yummy unhealthy things they make, because it is seriously constant. With a wedding in the works, I can't even imagine. Also, my eating plan has been letting me down lately. The no eating out thing really helped, but now I find myself not having enough energy for all of my workouts. Even a couple of rest days didn't help. I don't think it's the calorie deficit (I eat a lot), I think it's a blood sugar thing. So, I'm switching things up as of tomorrow and trying something new. We'll see how it goes!

Chuck Norris is still funny after all these years. My Race for the Cure team had to pick a name last week, and I was campaigning hard for Chuck Norris shirts along with the name Knocker Texas Rangers. I think we all compromised with Best of the Breasts and a Paul Rudd shirt, though. Either way, it should be fun.

I'm bummed I missed out on the mid-week challenge, but I'm going to do it tonight anyway, just for kicks. MB, you are CRAZY. And I say that in the most admiring way. ALSO, right after I click post I am going out for my run and to attempt to beat the 8 min mile mark that Sarge just plowed through earlier this week. It's a long shot, but we'll see.

Go rainbowand K3LL3Y!! Way to represent.

KittyKat, so glad to see you're back! I saw your post on Fitocracy, very motivating.

    Alright, it's GO time!
