Hi chickadee Hope you are doing well, you seem quiet like me lately. Nice to see you regaining your form and moving forward once again.

Lost 2/ 49.4 miles trekked (updated on spreadsheet)

Can I be added to the maintainer's list this week? I'm headed out of town on Tuesday, and I'll be OP this week and still keeping up with my training schedule, but I won't have my scale.

Hi, Sarge --- I'm new and I pledge to lose 1 pound this week. I would humbly offer my week's walking miles to your very cool global trek, if that is doable or appropriate for a newbie.

However, those ginormous contraptions on the recruits' feet just won't do --- I suggest these:

The color beautifully compliments the green hues of the traditional uniform and the heel is so handy for making DeadPounds Kabobs, for DIY body piercing, for sassy struts and for eliminating that pesky neighborhood vampire --- it's like a sexy Swiss Army Knife!

Reso - Sorry I've been quiet; I'm pretty worn down right now, and all the positive energy I can muster has been needed in other areas of my life over the past several days. I am ok though. And I'm very glad you're finally healing from your injuries and are starting to see that positive movement on the scale.

Edit: Anon, I have updated the spreadsheet for all the weigh-ins so far this week.

Ok, I've got time for just a few personals while dinner is cooking. All these losers, oh my! Way to motivate this week.

Skinny in Oz, um, yes. I'll take a pair of those! Hello extra calorie burn! I'd like to see what Reso is going to have to say about this, though. Welcome

peanutt, I totally got your joke right away! I dunno what that says about my creepiness factor. Hmm.

Riestrella, way to give it your all! There are no DNFs for our platoon. No siree. Wear that medal with pride Your story about people cheering you on at the end made me super happy, because that's pretty much exactly what happened at my first 5k. I used to be so intimidated to run outside or in public in front of "elite" runners, until I started running races and realized that most runners start from the same place. Most of the hardcore runners that I know used to be overweight, or had heart problems, etc. It's a great community.

envelope, I know exactly the feeling you're talking about. Love that. You're gonna rock that half, no question. Your training has been going so well.

Jeanettey, 40 lbs, AWESOME! Your little dancing guys are so hypnotic, sometimes I stare and stare at them... It's nice to see you add one more, but I'm afraid for my sanity

Alright, have a good night all.

Can I get in on that race to 20 pounds challenge?

Also what would you exercisers say about me switching from c25k to bridge to 10k? I need longer running sessions. I know right now it's mental for running 10+ minutes, my body can do it! I'm healed from the C and pneumonia and have been doing c25k 3-4 times a week for about 8 weeks. But I'm only on week 4 since we kept inviting people to join (all have flaked out now, leaving just me.)

Anywho... I think I can do it and I want to. Are there any reasons I shouldn't, from you with more experience?

Hidy Ho all! So I am finally home, unpacked and settled in after our vacation. We had a great time. Now I am ready to get back on track. I am up a pound since last week but considering I ate completely horrible...I'm not so upset. Hope everyone had a fabulous week!

I am pledging to lose the pound I gained plus 1...so 2.

Oooh I would enjoy a race to 20! I hope to have it done by October in time for a Halloween outfit!

I suppose if I want to do that though I should put the Cheese crisps down. LOL

Good Morning Platoon.
It's a new week to make things work.

Riestrella-Awesome job with your 10k! Way to push it through. That's one of things that I love about running...the running community is just too awesome.

Reso-Glad the shorts are fitting better!

Jeanettey-Yay for 4 happy dancers now!

Envelope-You are going to do great on your 1/2! 11 miles is fantastic.

RainbowSmiles-Good to see you around. I am getting closer. My shorts are also fitting better, which is great. I like being able to wear all my clothes comfortably.

Which is good, because as hot as it is here I feel like I could. HA.

Morning Troops! Sarge will post the final numbers in about 20 minutes but want to once again thank Chesh for the outstanding job she does on providing us with a morning motivational poster! Each time I see an ad for the new Winnie The Pooh movie I think of Chesh because there is a poster/note tacked to a tree which reads, "We have a very important thing to do today."
