Only have a quick sec but wanted to squeeze in a Hello to all of you lovely ladies before the site goes down today.

Down a smidge more, a flat 180 today--I'm so close to the 170's it's killin' me! I believe once I hit 179 I'll finally be out of the Obese BMI Catagory too so I'm extra anxious to get there.

Well, off to get the boys ready for school and to work my abs!! Have a fantastic day ladies! And let us not forget to...

CONSUME THY H2O!!!!
(thought I'd change it up a bit today! )

Morning everyone! I weighed in at 155.8 this morning which seems too low to be true, so not sure what that's about. I'm just not going to worry too much about the numbers on the scale and focus more on being OP and within the right calorie range and I'll trust that the pounds will do their thing eventually. Still, it was nice to see that number that I haven't seen in a while!
Also, I am currently embarking on Day 4 of the no-chocolate mini-goal, and it's not even hard anymore! I guess TOM leaving helped with that, but I also think you can make your body get over it even if it's painful the first day or two!
Gotta run but good job everybody, and stay strong during the outage!
20 more days!

Delphi, I decided to experiment with calorie shifting after I read a magazine article about it, in which people were losing large amounts of weight. However, they were only eating lots of fruit for breakfast and dinner and then their one normal and larger meal was lunch. I knew I wouldn't go that route because first I don't want to lose huge amounts of weight at once and second I am into balance and all that fruit is not balanced. However, I was curious if not eating as much in the evenings would make a difference for a steady weight loss, so I decided to shift most my calories to breakfast and lunch and eat very light for dinner. I did lose 3 lbs over two days, but I was coming off of TOM and I think I lost 3 lbs last month after TOM left too, so I can't attribute that weight loss to the calorie shifting. It was all TOM. What I do know is that calorie-shifting made it very difficult to balance my foods, and I was hungry late at night, which is unusual for me. However, as we can see, I have this problem with forgetting to eat lunch on time, lol!! So during those days when I forget to eat until 3:00, eating light at night would probably work for me. Of course, yesterday, forgetting to eat till 5:00 messed the whole thing up! Actually, what I need to go back to concentrating on remembering to eat lunch around noon!!

Michelle, you are doing great with your "mini" mini goal for the week!! I agree that when you cut something out that you crave, it's hard at first, but then your body adjusts and you don't crave it anymore. Congrats on the weight loss!! And congrats on staying OP!! You're doing a great job!

CMof4: Woohoo!! 180!! And a lb away from being out of the obese range!! I was so excited when I finally crossed that barrier!! Good for you!!

Dvdrumls, !! You're on the list!!

Well, I changed my ticker to reflect my current weight. I didn't get down to 168.4, but close enoguh for now. I'm happy to report I am no longer obese, and I'm with Lewisempire about wanting to bolt the door shut on that phase! In another half pound or so, I will reach my half-way mark to my goal weight. YIPPEE!! This is a month of milestones for me, thank God!! I've been waiting for awhile, or at least it feels like it.
Delphi--All I've been doing lately is changing my routine, so I have no routine which is why the C25K is appealing...to establish some routine back into my workouts! I'm in the middle of selling our house, living with the in-laws while we build our new house and have to adjust to whatever is going on around me, so I'm just happy to still be losing!

Default I really ought to know better by now....

OK, so I should know better by now. I have been lackadaisical in my posting and so....Off Plan.

I know that I do better when I hold myself accountable to all of my chick buddies here at 3FC. I don't know what is wrong with me. I have just been listless and mopey and then had way too much seafood over the weekend. I don't even want to get on the scale at this point and I am religious about weighing everyday. (TOM is still lurking so that probably has something to do with it!)

So, I'm sorry that I have been quiet ladies. I am proud of all of you that have had losses and those that have stuck with the plan even without losses, which is tougher, or worse yet gains! You are all doing great!!!

MsP~ That is awesome news on the scale!!! : You have worked really hard and to get to that healthy milestone is super!!!

Jacqui~ I have also tried calorie shifting and have had some success but I didn't shift things around during the day as you did. I had to have at least 300 calories difference each day but I didn't stick with it because the planning was too hard.

FSA~ FOUR pounds!!!

everyone~ I want to get this posted before the site goes down for the day. Keep at the good work!!! You guys are awesome!!!

Nothing much to report today....I am below my calories for the day so far, so I need to get eating some, but I am not really hungry. I wish I had more days like this hehe.

Keep up the good work everyone!

You know, I just did that and I'm not feeling all that great for doing so. I know I was way under my calorie intake for the day and made myself eat! I wasn't hungry and I ate, which seems wrong to me. Must we really force ourselves to eat? Usually, I'm metabolizing things quickly, so hunger is right around the corner, but today TOM has slowly but surely taken his toll, so I've been blah all day and I haven't really been all that active, minus the exercise at five this morning. I just figured perhaps that was why I wasn't hungry, my metabolism was simply slow. I don't know..just seems weird to me, to force myself to eat? Can anyone rationalize this for me?

Thank you Lewisempire We have been praying and my husband shared with me that he has felt the Lord showing him that we are about to be sling shot into a new life. I am holding onto this thought as well. I am happy to hear that your husband started his new job!!!
I do keep telling myself that this can't last forever... but honestly 1 yr ago I didn't think it would last this long.

But just like I tell myself about dieting, the time is going to pass whether I do anything or not, just like this time in our lives will pass too. :-)

We have been praying for "the right job" to come along for my husband, and it finally did he started today! So I will move your husband and family into that prayer slot, and just keep on prayin'!!!!!!! Just keep on trucking, "this too shall pass" (that is what my Mom always says)

What awesome attitiudes and encouragement, Supachix & Lewisempire! It warms my heart to see that kind of support on here for each other!!

Delphi--I guess the thought is that you don't want your body to think you're starving it, so you should comsume some minimum number of calories each day. That being said, I would think if there's a day you just don't feel like it, you shouldn't have to force yourself to eat when you're not hungry, as long as you don't "under-eat" regularly. Make sense? Just my thoughts...

Good Morning Ladies! We are headed for another day of rain! I think mother nature is pushing it a bit with all this rain. I'd just like to see some days where we can actually go outside and pull out the water guns. Thanks Ms P, I think I agree with you, on not eating when you feel like that, as long as I don't make a habit of it. And JD can you change my "lose 3lbs" to 6? I weighed in today, knowing I shouldn't because of TOM and I'm down another three pounds. That puts me at a total of ten pounds down from start and man do I feel groovy. However, since my official weigh in isn't until Sunday, I'll just shoot for a total of six if that is alright with you? The way I'm going, I'm quite confident that I can reach my mini goal of reaching onederland by my birthday. That has me more than excited indeed. At any rate, you ladies have a great day, drink plenty of water and remember to smile!!

OH MY WORD, Delphi!! The pounds are just rolling off you!! And that's during TOM? I cannot believe you've lost those 3 lbs already!! That's wonderful! I'll do better than change the 3 lbs to 6 lbs--you met that goal!! No taking that away from you! So I'll mark that on the list and add another 3 lbs!! Hey, it's working for you!!

Urock, so glad to see you back!! We've missed you!! Now that you're going to start posting regularly again, you'll get back on track with your program! Just ask Fenderella! We'll help you along chickie, because we know you can do it!!

Ms_P, yay!! You deserve to change that ticker!! Congrats on getting out of the obese category!!

Supachix, you have a wonderful attitude!

NSM and Delphi, I get behind some days too, and although it doesn't seem right to eat when I'm not hungry, I eat anyway, just so that I won't put myself at risk of making my body want to binge. I know that I can go an entire day without feeling like eating, so I can't rely on my hunger cues. They seem to be a bit faulty. I have to make the *decision* to do what I think is best for my body and, for me, that's to make sure it gets enough calories each day. Is that the right way to handle it? I don't know, , but I figure I can't go too wrong with it!
