I love your little dog! Now I can really get a good image of it chasing the moth!

Newshinyme: I am also good with reporting other exercise. As I already do...
This helps me to do it everyday!!

Hattie: Yes, my little dog is the same size, no! I mean bigger than your big dog, but only in his own mind!

I like your avatar of your rottie, very magestic!

Today I took both dogs for a walk. The little dog was the excercising portion where I burned 304 calories according to my HRM and the big dog (13 yo) was the cool down portion. I cleaverly waited to go until my dd got home from school so she could assist with the dog exchange so I wouldn't have to stop. It worked pretty well.

I just weighed on the Wii today and it showed a small loss, probably just a bounce, but I'll take it!

hi everyone!

I just got my Wii Fit yesterday and did about 25 minutes last nite and 30 minutes today! Talk about fun and interesting! What technology!! I really like all the balance games except the ball one because I'm brutal at it. Tells me that I've got some work to do. It sure shows my personality too, because I don't care if I lose a ball, just want to get ONE in! haha Whereas my DH will run out of time just to get them all in perfectly. Too funny!

My kids were doing the Fit with me this am and really enjoyed the running and skiing. A neat way to exercise and have fun!

I was lucky I found one, as they are hard to get!

Hi Everyone

Here to check in:
No loss in about two weeks. I think I know why. I am on a 1400 calorie eating plan which I average around 1250. I increased my exercise for the last two weeks. I didn't realize that the calories you burn should be included in the calorie range. So...by my figures-1250 eaten -burned 400- that only leaves 850 calories. I got so into the exercise that I wasn't aware that I wasn't eating enough. My body has gone into shut off mode. I am going to try to eat more because I love exercising at the moment. So if I try to eat 1800 cal. and burn 400 I am at 1400 calories. Does this sound correct to everybody? Let me know what your advice would be.

Activities: Treadmill every morning for 30 minutes. Wii fit every PM. (45 minutes) 3 mile walk on last Sunday
I use a pedometer and averaged 12,000 steps a day.

Hattie: Well from my reading here: I think you -are- supposed to eat back your excercise calories! I don't do that exactly, but I am eating a higher daily calorie count than you. I'm averaging 1600 kcals per day. That -could- be why your loss had stalled.

I've also read that 2 weeks of no loss is not long enough to declare a plateau! Well, I say! I disagree with this! I find it quite discouraging to have no loss. Good for you to keep going and not quit!

When I had my stall a while ago, when it ended I had a huge loss of 1.5 pounds. Huge for me that is.

So, my completely non-expert advise would be to eat more for a week and see what the scale says. You could also take measurements and see if those are changing.

mommyfit: Welcome! I enjoy the balance games too. I like the ski jump. I used to hold the family record, but one afternoon when I was out my ds played until he beat my record! Ive tried to get it back, but no dice. It is pretty anoying really because he doesn't play wiifit other than that!!!!! He prefers to shoot people on the xbox360!

I've fallen off the excercise wagon (bad Patt!): So my pledge is to do step this evening when I get home from boardgaming and to do a run tomorrow!

Hi Everyone...I got on my Wii Fit yesterday for the first time since I hurt my knee (nearly five weeks ago). It's good to be back! I love the balance games too, mommyfit. I was the ski jump champion in my house until my daughter had one of her friends come over and she beat my score on her first try! It took me a few weeks but I finally regained the top spot!

I've been working out on my elliptical gently which has been good for my knee but I finally decided it was time to get back on the Wii Fit and the knee seemed to hold out ok. I did a little stretching and yoga followed by some aerobics and my favorite boxing and finished off with some fun balance games. I have managed to complete all levels on the ball game but am terrible at the bubble game...I get almost to the end and then pop my bubble!

Keep up the good work everyone.

It's been sketchy for me this week once again....my hubby is staying home studying for a big exam he's writing on Thursday and that totally throws me off. He gets easily distracted and we live in a tiny little apartment, so I have to stay away from him, which means I really can't be taking over the entire living room while he's trying to study right next to me

I managed to workout for an hour to a DVD on Tuesday.Thursay I did about 20 min. cardio on the Wii, and on Wednesday and Friday I went out for walks. After Wednesday's walk my legs were actually sore hehe.

mommyfit: Welcome!

Hattie: You are so good . I am no expert, but I do think you are eating too little, and of course you don't want to slack with the exercise, so upping the calories is the way to go.

smiles4U: Welcome back, glad to hear your knee is finally feeling better, looking forward to your progress reports

Pat: let's get back on the wagon together!

Have a great weekend everybody!

Just checking in for today, I really find it helps if I come here every day even if I have not been that good :P

Today I did a 40 min. Turbo Jam DVD workout..oh my, way more intense than I thought it'd be, so I guess that will keep me busy for a while.

It was my weigh-in and to my surprise I actually lost 2 lbs for the week, I am just hoping some of it was not the little bit of muscle I had just started building haha.

See you tomorrow!

Well, I failed in my pledge from yesterday. After boardgamming, we got home and had a late dinner. I didn't manage my food properly, that is, didn't eat lunch so I ended up with a headache and didn't to wiifit.

Today, however, I did my walk to the graveyard and back. It took me a little over 18 minutes and I burned 208 calories. Not the greatest, but then again I could have just stayed on the couch.

Newshiny: congrats on the 2 pound loss! That must be pleasing!

Hello!

Hattie: congratulations on the 2 lbs., it feels good doesn't it?

Pat: don't beat yourself over it, you still got out and moved and that's what counts

Yesterday I walked outside for about 1 hr, today I did 20 min. cardio and 20 min. strength training, it's a good feeling to be back on the wagon , but I was wondering...does the soreness ever go away??

Yes the soreness does go away. As in when you get used to the weight lifting your muscles are not as sore after a workout as they were when you first started.

We my dh and myself did BFL a few years ago, I could barely walking down the stairs the next day. But after a couple weeks the pain was much more manageable.

Hi everyone!

Sorry for my absence. I've been so busy and I actually took two solid weeks OFF my BistroMD *and* Wii Fit (boo hoo! I missed it so) but still managed to lose a half pound, which shows me that I have learned some good behavior modification this year, as I can be "bad" and still do pretty well.

Anyway, I received my Jillian Michaels' Wii Fit program and cannot WAIT to try it! Just getting back to Wii Fit after two weeks off was awesome and inspiring! So, I can't wait to experience a "tougher" program!

I'll be sure to report back. Hopefully soon.

Things are going well, just really busy, but I did want to stop in and say hello!!!

Take good care!

Hi everyone,

I pre ordered the Jillian Michaels' Wii Fit program from Amazon and still haven't received it yet....I think it is due to arrive next week. I can't wait to hear what you think of it Full of Grace.

I took a break from the Wii Fit yesterday and played Wii Sport Tennis...oh, and also spent 30 minutes on the Elliptical.

What's everybody else up too?
