ok, been reading this thread for a while and you're getting me motivated to pull the fit back out. We've had it for a few months and I used it a few times but then the newness wore off and I honestly wasn't in the right mental frame to lose weight. I've since weaned off some meds I was on and I'm feeling so much better. We have a nice little home gym, with a fantastic elliptical, a treadmill, recumbent bike, Bowflex and free weights so there really isn't any reason for me NOT to exercise, except laziness. So, I'm going to set my goal for now to doing 15 minutes on the wii, focusing on the yoga and balance stuff, after my 45 minute daily cardio.
Is this thread still open to new people? I just bought my wii fit and as of this morning I have done my fourth workout. I try to do an hour every day but once I get going I don't want to stop. This morning I logged in an hour and a half. I do yoga strength training and aerobics. I can see that I am becoming a wii fit addict.
I'm back to using the Fit, after a BAD couple of months! I've done at least 15 minutes 7 of the last 9 days and feel better for it! I've even set some personal records along the way!
Today, after I did 1 WATP mile, I did my body test and then the short run, 10 minute free step (personal best of 1333 steps!) and a couple of yoga poses. Only had time for 15 minutes because I went back to work today.
I was wondering ...what is everyone's favorite wii fit activity and why? What is everybody's least favorite and why? Do you always do the complete body test?
My favorite is the Boxing. It is fun to feel like I am boxing and when I first started I kept messing up all the time. Now I have it down! My dog likes to bark at the bag. Maybe she doesn't like any kind of violence. LOL
My least favorite is the yoga...why?.. Because I can't do half of the freakin things.LOL
I use to always do the complete test and now I just do the weigh in and balance check.
My favourite is Boxing it's lots of fun and I can do it for 10 min. straight so it's a better workout
My least favourites are all the balance games because I suck at them LOL (and they don't feel like much of a workout either)
My favorites are the advanced step and the advanced boxing.
I put the balance board on top of a 6 inch aerobics step(with the Fit board the total is 8 in) and I always hold 2 lb dumbbells while stepping. Just doing these two things really kicks it up a notch! It's a pretty good workout. I also always keep moving in between "sessions" to keep my heart rate up.
My least favorite is any of the balance games. I'm so uncoordinated it's pathetic.
I'm sneaky as far as the body tests. I only do a body test when my home scale indicates I'm down. That's usually about 2/3 times a week. If I'm up...I skip the test that day. I don't want to ruin the downward slope on my graph..lol. I also heard you get reprimanded for gaining and I don't want my Wii to be dissapointed in me...lol.
I do the FULL test only about once a week(on a low weight day).
My favorites that I do a lot of are probably the hula hooping and the step. I also really like the balance games, but I don't do them as much because I don't really consider them to be much of a workout. I'm pretty good of them - I'm going to credit 8 years of cheerleading and more of gymnastics for that...
I take the body test everyday, and I try to take it at the same time each day. I like to think that it helps to keep me on track.

I do the full thing every time just because I like getting the stamps on my calendar . I don't take whatever weight my Wii says too seriously tho, I use my bathroom scale as the "official" scale.
Oh and don't worry, the Wii won't scream at you for gaining a few ounces, in my experience, I only get screamed at if I gain about a pound or more, otherwise it barely says anything.
Today I did 10 min hoops and step as warmup, then I did 20 min Turbo Jam and finished with 10 min. yoga....I feel good
I did my hour today. My favorite is the step and my least favorite is the balance games. I do the body test every day, it makes me feel accountable to do it every day
