Believe it or not, I'm at 200.0 and that means next weigh-in: ONEderland! I'm even premenstrual right now, so that's pretty much a guarantee I'll be in the 190s next week. Ack!!!

I totally agree. I really like the free step because it allows me to go faster than the Advanced Step Class does.

It's a great way to pass the time while watching a show. And I keep the Wii remote in one hand and the TiVo remote in the other! LOL "The lightest handweights ever??"

Hee!

Finally an advanced hoolahoop to loosen those hips.

usually takes me 30 minutes or so, but it's an intense workout. Esp. the elliptical.
This looks like a GREAT program! Yay!
I've been building Dance Dance Revolution into my workouts with Wii Fit and then have hit the gym for some swimming and machines too. It's awesome!

Oof. Don't I know that feeling! LOL The being BACK part is the important bit, though, isn't it?

Sorry. VERY busy week, here. Like, ridiculously busy. But I do keep checking in and despite how ridiculously busy things got for me this week, I did manage to get on the Wii Fit every day except for TWO... and that's the first time I've missed AT ALL since buying the dang thing.
So, I went 69 days straight... NO MISSES. And that's pretty dang good, if you ask me.

So, I missed days 70 and 71... and then got back at it on day 72. Phew! I'm gonna call that a "win," for me.

I hear that! LOL I do love the "privacy of my own home" thing, even though my husband sometimes watches my workouts... and sometimes that bugs me more than others.

Are you doing 60 mins of actual Wii time, or 60 mins of real time? And if it's Wii time, how long is that actually taking you.
I find the time between switching, esp with the yoga and strength section is just way too long!!
Hi MTG. I replied in my blog comments (as it's like a two-hour commitment, minimum, every time I visit the message boards, and I could do a quick reply to your comment without logging in here.

I have to see SO many threads when I visit here... it's such fun), but the answer is: I do an actual 60 minutes of exercise, which usually comes out to about 75 to 90 minutes of real time, depending on which exercises I'm doing and how much downtime there is between each thing.
Like, I'll start my workout at 10am and be finished sometime between 11:15am and 11:30am, but only get 60 fit credits on the Wii. But that's 60 minutes of working out, so that's my "hour a day" thing.

I try to keep my workout going between exercises, just to keep my heartrate up and my body moving, but I'm not worried about "earning credit" for that amount of time, as it's pretty incidental.

Hope that makes sense. Lemmeknow.

Yep. Me too. I like the Expert Rhythmic Boxing and Free Step and Free Run and things that let me go for longer periods of time. I do the same thing with DDR. I'll tell it (in workout mode) that I want to get 45 minutes of dancing in, and it'll devise a program for me that gets me to that level (it also calculates my calories burned, which the Wii Fit does not do).
And no, I don't count the time it takes to do the Body Test as a part of the workout. That's extra.

No way! I'm totally "here" too, I just can't check in every day when things are so busy for me.

Sorry 'bout that.

I do stop by when I can, though!

But those huge up-swings are depressing.
What upsets me are the choices the dang thing gives you for when you've gained weight. It never offers a choice of, "I'm premenstrual," or, "It's 12 hours later in the day than I usually weigh in," which is really silly NOT to offer, considering that it will then tell you that you need to weigh in at the same time every day. :\ I mean, if it KNOWS that's the cause of an up to two-pound fluctuation in a day, then why the HECK won't it let you choose THAT as the reason for the gain?
None of the reasons work for me, 99% of the time I go up. It's almost ALWAYS due to TOM or time of day! And since it won't let me choose TOM or time of day, I just say, "I don't know," because NONE of the other choices is right.
Well... I learned not to do that, though. Because if you do that more than a couple of times, it "lectures" you about not being aware of what happens in your diet and overall fitness. And while I know better than to feel chastised by a machine, sometimes it just gets to me that I can't program it to deal with the REAL reasons... if it's gonna go and get all preachy about 'em.

Ah... especially when TOM is the reason, it's something that gets to me.

Heh heh!

That's fantastic!! I definitely think my balance has improved since using the Wii Fit. Have you clicked on the "track progress" option in your little calendar screen area? (Not sure exactly where it is.) It shows you red dots all over the Wii balance board, corresponding to your progress over time. I love that! Very cool!
Well, I'm off for today. I'll try to check in again this weekend. Hope everyone is having a great weekend and nearing goals at a good pace.
