OOOhh! Hope you had a great time berry picking, Pat. How fun!

How was work, MM? I know Monday won't be any fun after being gone. And the back to school rush is in full swing--everyone is back from vacation, 3weeks til school starts, every body's getting their surgeries in.

Last minute running around and finish packing has been the whole focus of my day. And shopping for the one who has to stay home to work. At least it kept my hands busy and I didn't snack extras

Talk to you all in the morning before I go. Still debating about the computer.

Kathy, Work was O. I got an extra 2 miles in at lunch and yesterday and today, got up and got my run in at 6 am so I would have it done. Have a safe trip!

Sometimes later in the day my good intentions get away from me and I "forget" to get my cardio in, so I am trying this on days I don't have class. Days I do have class, I am running in between work and school as there is a running/bike trail nearby.

Bluemommy, right back at ya, let's get that 40 gone, I am looking at everything right now, food and exercise are both OP, now if only the darn scale would MOVE.

OK, where is everybody!

Dixie, how was the BB'ing? Did you have fun?

Hello All!!! I'm back....yet again!! lol!! I haven't been on here since about july 3rd but i'm going to try to be back again until i reach my christmas goal of 120-125. So...the plan....i'm carpooling, which means no more gym. I'm carpooling because i can't afford the gas money or the gym membership anymore. So...going to start getting off at the carpool guys house and walk/jog home everyday. He lives about a mile from me. So...i think that will be a good way to get guaranteed 5 days a week of excersize in. Of course, while i'm walking home i can always go for the extra mile, while i'm at it, down my dirt road.

STarted back trying to eat healthy again. I made my broccoli casserole for breakfast this week, and trying to eat lighter at lunch. So...we'll see how things go. Might take some getting used too but i can do it.

Lumi - i'm glad you're back! I think your plan is awesome! Just keep at it!!! I completely understand the money stuff... it SUCKS!

I've been completely on plan for 6 days now. I'm going to do this! It's WAY too hot out today to go walking outside, so I'll do my pushups, ab video and Tae Bo video tonight. I'm going strong!!! I have to keep it going, especially since TOM is coming this week!

Thumbs up

Hey Lumi, we missed you!

MM- you make me laugh Where did you think we all were at 6am? Only my silly husband was up, but he beat you by at least an hour and a half. He was out walking the poor dog at 4:30am. Even on a work day I can't get up before 6:15 am. I am not a morning person.

Well, I got on the scale to see what it looked like before leaving today, and I was down 1.5 lbs (probably water) but that made me feel better. the lab work was very good. I forgot to put on my pedometer this morning, so who knows how much walking I have done running around. We have been working on this low dose lipitor with green tea, and my cholesteral has stayed at 160 to 165 for 18 months. It originally took me from 210 to 180 the 1st 3 months, and 180 to 160 the second 3 months. It also upped my triglycerides to 140's and took down my LDL to 80. Can't complain too much about that.

We're about to leave town, so everyone keep up the good work while I'm gone. Check in Sunday night or monday.

Kathy

Hi Everyone~It is a very hot day here!! Yesterday we tried to go blueberry picking. We followed the directions. Drove around in circles for an hour. Did not find the place. We were all so frustrated. So, blueberry picking another day.

Taking my sexy black dress very seriously I went to the library on a seek and search mission. They didn't have the Fat Smash Diet book. I thought I bought it when it first came out. Can't find it at the moment. I found Sugar Busters Diet, another book I know I have here some where. Another one called Fat Resistance Diet. I am going to read them both and see which one fits my personality best and go from there. I also found a couple of strength training books. I am going to study the workouts and put together something that fits my personality and time schedule. I am going to reach my goals by Christmas!! Be 162 pounds--Wear a beautiful slinky black dress--have new skinny clothes for Christmas. I have #3 weighs here, I have heavier ones at my ex's house, I want them! At least I can get started with the workouts.

Eating has been OP. Yesterday was a scheduled rest day, thus the berry picking. Today I wanted to mow the yard, too hot right now. I ran several errands this afternoon, now I am ready to get serious. Hope everyone has a great afternoon and evening. Pat

Hi Everyone~I did an hour of stepping with intervals of jogging I did my wall push ups 9-8-6-5-then 10. I feel it in my shoulders. That black dress is calling me.

Eny~How are ya doing? I think I am going to take a sneak peek at the scales in the morning. I should be on track. Keep up the good work. I found a new favorite dessert. Blueberries with vanilla yogurt, yummmmmo.

Dixiemae, sorry about the missed berrying! Maybe next time! The blueberries and vanilla yogurt sounds yummy. I like the Schwan's trim creation fudge bars for a treat.

Strength training is something I need to build into my routine. Let us know what you decide, maybe we can borrow ideas. I am a strength training nit wit. Need all the help I can get. I was thinking yesterday while I was out walking at lunch, maybe in the winter, I will join a gym. There is nothing near my house, but they have opened a new one near my work. I had a membership a few years ago to another, but there were no showers, so you could only go on your way home. The new one has showers, so I could go on may way to work and at lunch in the winter. Usually can't get in after work during the school year because YS always has a game somewhere.

Kathy, WTG on the 1.5, that's awesome. Hope you are having a wonderful time.

Lumi, Welcome back! Did the BF move in? How is all that going? Good plan with the carpooling/exercise. I have been carpooling with another lady when we can (not on the nights I have classes, but still, about 3x a week) It has helped a ton with my gas expenses. It also keeps me from stopping at the grocery store every night, so I save quite a bit there too. Seems like I stop 3 times a week and drop $50 bucks a pop, on top of my regular shopping...

Bluemommy, great job on the exercise, we can do this!!

Eny, 6 days OP! It feels so good, doesn't it?

Make that 7 girls! I made it through yesterday with FLYING COLORS!

Dixie - I peeked at the scale this morning too (ok I peek every morning) but I'm at #188.6. where are you? I'm not expecting a huge loss since TOM is coming (due today or tomorrow) I'll be happy to maintain or lose a little

I need to really get my butt moving though - I've been slacking on my workouts because my office is a mess with work stuff and quilting stuff. I have to clean it up and make room to groove tonight! I've been able to do my pushups and crunches since I don't need a video for that. It's just been too hot outside for walking. I'm thinking some pilates tonight along w/ the abs. after I get stuff cleaned up.

Hey Eny, MM, Tapping....thanks for the welcome back!! I'm so excited to be back. I am glad to hear things are going good. Yes Mm....the bf did move in over the 4th of july weekend. We're still getting him settled in while i continue to work full time. Not an easy task but still...i am so happy to have him there. Although, his Simeese cat of 2 1/2 years died after moving in to my house. I feel so guilty. We don't know if it was from the flea bomb i had to use a couple weeks prior to his moving in (baby dd's brought an outside cat in while i was at work and well, we've all seen the flea commerical with the dog. One flea makes thousands!!) His tabby cat is not having any ill effects but my mom says Simeese might be more sensitive to things. So, we took him to the vet, but apparently, we must have waited too long. He died while i was at work yesterday. So sad. I feel so guilty.

Well...i got in about half a mile on my lunch break yesterday. It was not a brisk walk but it was a walk all the same. Just trying to stretch my legs out. I had that vein closure procedure on both legs and my legs just feel tight around the knee areas. Definately going to start taking up my walking again tonight after work. The day for food doesn't look too bad. I had my broccoli/cheese casserole and half a bagel for breakfast, got some chicken breast and small portion of mac & cheese for lunch with a yogurt for desert and a banana for a snack. Dinner may be chicken breast also. Not quite sure yet.

Eny....look at you taking the lead on your weightloss over your family!! That is AWESOME!! 7 days on plan!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!

Mm....i think the carpooling may end up saving me a ton of money if i can get it to work out during the school year too. I brought me a 3# weight to work today to see if i can get some arm workout going on while i sit on my butt at my desk. Gotta work on the bat wing!! My db calls it something else to do with a chicken, but i can't remember what it is at the moment!! LOL!!

Tapping...sounds like you are seeing some wonderful progress...in weightloss and health benefits. That is great!! Keep up the great job and let us know how your trip was!!

Dixie...i love the little black dress goal!! That is a great thing to work towards. And i am sure you will make it. I need to put a dress or pants out in veiw that i can't fit into and start focusing on it!!

Okay all!! We got plenty of time to reach our christmas goals. We just gotta stay focused...or rather, I gotta stay focused. You guys are already doing awesome!!!

Could I join your challenge?

I'm new to 3 fat chicks and am using the South Beach Diet. Good diet, but there isn't much on-line support. I don't get a signature line for a while, but my goal is to reach 185 lbs and my starting weight is 200 lbs.

If I can join let me know what else I need to do.

Have a good day!

Patty

Patty - all you need to do to is stay committed to your goals - pick a plan that works for YOU and come post often! We have a lot of great girls in here with great advice and motivation. We're here for more then just weigh ins - we realize that this is hard especially because life sometimes get in the way of our best laid plans.

Right now there is EXACTLY 23 weeks until comes - so a #15 loss goal is COMPLETELY doable! It's about #.07 a week that you need to lose (sorry I'm a numbers person.. which is why calorie counting works the best for me! )

It seems like I'm always running late for something, and never really get to respond to everyone like I'd like.

Just wanted to say, I'm enjoying this thread very much. Hearing others' stories is really helping me, and I'm just really glad for it.

Oh, and welcome Patty!

Wow. 23 weeks till Christmas. I can't wait!
