Well, there you all are. I didn't get any e-mails that anyone had posted today, which I thought was strange, so I came investigating.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday.

Pat, 1/2 lb gone is good, considering the week you had. WTG

Got to get some things done this afternoon, but I'll check in later.

Kathy

Great job Pat, Karen, Eny and Isabel.

I am still swearing off the scale. I have to work 2 more days, including today and then I am off for 12 glorious days!! I am going to use the time off to get at least an extra hour of exercise each day and maybe get my losing jump-started again.

I love to hike on the nice days, I am trying to get running and I bought 3 turbo jam dvd's in an ebay auction a month or so ago and have not even gotten thru them all once.

OK, have to get moving, have a great day all!!

I tried to go back and find where I started the challenge at (I think it was at 326 but I'm not sure? I seem to remember that). I weighed this morning, and I'm at 316.4. I'm so excited that the scale is finally moving after months and months of one or two pounds a month. While I don't want to get caught up on numbers, it struck me that, at this rate, I could be out of the 300's for the first time in years and years by the end of August.

That's a whole new world.

I also, yesterday, stopped making excuses and joined the gym at work. I kept thinking that if I found another job, I'd have to quit, yadda yadda yadda, and I didn't want to invest the money. I found out, though, that it's only $10 a month, so there really wasn't a whole lot of money to waste.

The girl there was so nice and encouraging. I have an appointment at 8 this morning with her to take me through the equipment because I've never done anything like this before.

I begged her not to hurt me.

I love this thread and even though I don't post as much as I'd like to, I'm enjoying hearing your stories. Thanks for being such a great group of people.

Good morning everyone. I've been wasting away my day so far. Enjoying having two of my boys gone for the week at scout camp. I have my youngest son home with me first time ever just us. It is wonderful!

Congrats to the losers this week! Hope I join you on Thursday. Thats when I WI.

I did better on my water yesterday ... hope today I can keep it up.

EarthShaker - WTG on joining the gym! If they have a pool with water aerobics classes I'd look into that. It is a GREAT workout, up to 600 calories an hour, and lots of fun. But, of course I'm partial to it since I'm a water fitness instructor. It's so much easier on the body. I hope you enjoy the gym and keep with it. It makes a world of a difference in every day life!

Hey all!! So glad to see you all are doing so great. I saw alot of you have got that scale to move again!! Way to go!! It's almost quitting time, so i don't have time for alot of personals.

Mmavis...I haven't forgotten you or our challenge to christmas. I am so looking foward to this month getting back on track. Although, i may not be able to go to my gym this month because of gas prices, i am going to try to get up in the am and go outside and get my jogging in. My bf is moving in this week and so i think i will really be able to finally focus on myself again because now he will be so accessable that i won't be trying to divide my time between him, my kids and myself. I think things will be coming together finally. Also, going back on the healthy choice lunches that have worked so well for making sure i get a good balance of meats/veggies/starches and sweets. Gotta go back to what has worked in the past. And maybe i can find time to work out in the am and pm. Gotta start working with some weights to tone up some muscles. Going to enlist the bf to help out once he gets settled. Okay...so, christmas goal. Be in a size 2 misses and be down to 120. Yeah...that's it. :-)

Hey all! I was very busy today, so I am late getting here. Hope everyone had a great day. And hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Got a new pedometer this evening, and if nothing else it, it keeps me aware that I need to get off my bottom (except when I am here, of course!) and move it. Hopefully these 2 challenges are going to work together and get me some good results.

My mom's little surgery went well, so today is all good.

Matilda. and good job to all the great things happening to everyone this week. We seem to be on a roll.

How's it going Isabel? Any ultrasound yet?

Gotta get to bed so I can work in the morning. Check in tomorrow.

Kathy

Morning all! Today is my last day of work until July 15 !

Kathy, congrats on the new pedometer. I just ordered one from Amazon last night.

Lumi, welcome back. I've been struggling with ya, stuck right around 150 so my mini goal right now if just to get under 150, then 145 and so on. Baby steps.
I love your size goal!

Matilda, welcome!

Earthshaker, have fun at the gym! That is great!

Pat, I got TurboJam's fatblaster, booty sculpt and turbosculpt w ab jam. I like the last one the best, but I need to do all of them quite a bit more. Just like I am better at writing about eating right than actually doing it, I am better at thinking about exercise than doing it!!

I am off to work! Have a great day all!

How old is your youngest? That has to be fun. Actually, there is no pool there, but that's something I'll be looking into later. I'm kind of in limbo right now financially, so the cheap alternative was the best one.

It didn't kill me, although after 10 minutes on the elliptical machine, I thought it was going to. I managed, between the two machines she pointed me to, 30 minutes total, so I was rather proud of myself for moving in ways I hadn't before. I'm hoping to get in three times a week and slowly build up my time.

Today, though, I'm going hiking on the trail.

My youngest is 9. It's kinda sad this is the first time that we have had him alone. We have been having a great time.

You are doing great with the gym. Keep it up! And remember ... any activity is better than nothing. Try to make a workout plan you can keep for life so you can keep the weight off that you've lost.

Good morning girls! I'm happy to report that I completed day 14 on plan! and day 15 is going strong so far! (mind you all I've done is eat breakfast )

Everyone seems to be doing good right now. That's AWESOME! I'm not struggling with the emotional eating so much - which is really nice! I think seeing the scale move is really helping! I have #28 more to lose by Christmas - and I HAVE to stick to it! #1.2 a week is completely do-able right?

Paula - and you're right every bit helps!

Alright girls - I have some work to do! I'll check back later!
