I definately could use another challenge after a few months of being away from this site. Luckily my weight (130) is still the same so I don't have to change my stats. Hopefully I'll reach (or get near) my goal my Christmas.

Great job to all who are post losses, I am too but it's the same pounds I gained last week. Let's see if we can get back past ticker weight!!

I am really tired lately with school and home and work and all. I woke up today with a massive headache so am trying to get rid of that before I go to work. Otherwise, may have to call in and hate to waste a day off being sick!

Bluemommy, I have 2 children, both boys - 18 & 20. The younger will finish HS this year, the older is entering his 3rd yr of college, but has switched majors, so likely still has 3.5 to go as he needs 5 for his degree. Not sure what I will do for entertainment next year as my bleacher time will finally come to an end! Both have always been active, but we are down to the last year of football, wrestling and theatre. ( I know, strange that football/wrestlers would also like the stage, but both my kids love it)

Earthshaker- you are so close to the 2's. You are doing great!!

Butterfly Diva & Half baked Tulip- Welcome!

Dixiemae, "living well is the best revenge" Don't let the doldrums suck you in. You can do this for you. You are worth it!

MotherMavis,

I really don't know how you do it all. When I went through school, I had school and 2 part time jobs, and I thought I was going to fall over all the time. I'm the same way about work--I hate missing a day if I'm sick. Feels like I'm "wasting" it, I think.

Thanks for the encouragement all! What was my Christmas goal based on the earlier part of the year's weight has now become my Sept. 1 goal. Once I hit it, I'm going to make another 25 or 30 lb goal for Christmas.

This Team in Training this is keeping me in the gym. I'm finding I'm oversleeping, getting bored with my routine, resenting the "consultant" who can't be bothered to put her newspaper down, etc., but I'm still going. The meeting's on Thursday (sorry, I know I've mentioned it about a billion times, but I'm just so excited), and then I'll know for sure if I can do it. I think I'm a bit afraid that they'll tell me I'm too fat. Logically, it doesn't make sense. They're a fund-raiser and they'll take anyone who can do it, I think, but it's there in the back of my mind.

Anyway, I'm off to the gym before I totally lose my motivation.

Be well all,
Nan

Mothermavis- I guess I will eventually be serving my bleacher time. My boys are too young right now but I know its coming.

I did my watp this morning and feel good. After this weekend, my body felt like it was rejecting the dvd's but I continued! My mini challenge is to add a weekend day of exercise.

Eny~Where are you? I am missing you!

MM~I hope that headache is a lot better! I wake up with headaches some times. It is no fun. How are you doing other wise? How are the MMunches? Actually that helps me get those crunches done thinking about the MMunches.

I did 1 hour stepping + ab work out on balance ball + 83 wall push ups + 16 minutes weight training. I did squats with the big ball too. I can feel it already. But the Black Dress is calling me. Everyone have a good evening Pat

Pat - I'M HERE! I had a couple of emotionally off days. I'm back though today. And I'm eating good, and I'm determined to MOVE MY BUTT today! We have to work to get out of the #180's! And I've been slacking on the exercise bit for almost a month now!

I'm buying some new DVDs on Friday and some new clothes. I always do better when I'm feeling better! It's time to get this weight off! I'd be THRILLED to hit my Christmas goal early! But I need to stop slacking!

I WILL do my pushups tonight! I'm on week 5 of the training, and I can't give up now!!! I WILL to my Tae Bo tape tonight too! Gotta Move your Butt to lose your butt!!!

I am trying to catch up on this thread now. I am having a meltdown about maintaining and not getting anywhere. Still rolling around the same few pounds, making a christmas goal all that much harder to reach. Checked out a new video this evening that has 4 10 minute workouts plus the warm-up and cool-down. My daughter told me that it didn't look like I could keep up with it, she's probably right. Wish I could find a good combination of something that works and something I like (that part being the more difficult). You all seem to have. Guess I will keep looking.

Dixiemae, seems I have found a kindred spirit. You are the 2nd person today I found with a Cubs-loving heart. My 2 Cardinals-loving co-workers are not very happy campers this year!

Everyone have a good evening and Thursday. See you after work.

Kathy

Kathy,
Hang in there. I know about frustration with getting stuck in a place. From January to May of this year, I only lost three pounds. I'd lose some and gain some, but my net loss was three lousy pounds. I wanted to scream. Even if you're not losing in pounds, know that your exercise and good eating are not in vain. It will move. In the meantime, you're improving your endurance and muscle tone.

Yesterday, my dad and I took the boat out to the river, and we had such a great time. I hadn't been in the water for just about a year, and I had forgotten how much I loved it. My bathing suit from last year even fit better. I managed a couple of hours of swimming, and I could feel it in my arms. I have some great pictures of the dog captaining the boat, but have to find my silly phone cable to post them.

Yesterday was a milestone for me. I've lost 30 lbs. I won't be moving my ticker until the first of the month when I do my monthly wrap-up, but wow. I really have to pinch myself. It doesn't seem real. I only have 6 lbs till I hit my original Christmas goal.

And today is the Team in Training meeting. I'm so, so, so looking forward to that.
