Lumi: Hey! You really are an inspiration on how dedicated you are to exercise. Great Job! I’m glad you are not stressing about the jump in weight. My guess would be that you have been in this for a while (lost from 196 to now), so you know how that stupid scale can be. Plus, look how close you are to goal. I remember once upon a time when I was that close to my goal weight, it would take months to loose just one pound. Does it seem harder now, then at any other time, to loose just one pound?

Mousai: Great job on the loss. Woohoo! Talking about walking dogs reminded me of about something. About six months ago, a friend of mine’s 1 month old baby had to go into the hospital for about a week. So I stayed at her house to watch her 4 year-old and 6y.o. They also had two cats, two guina pigs, and 3 dogs. Well, I had to walk the dogs at least 2X a day. So I was walking 3 dogs (all at the same time), her 2 kids and my 3 kids. We were a sight walking down to the lakeside park. It was fun though! To top that off: Well, on one of the days, I forgot to bring a bag/scooper to clean after the dogs. So when my husband got off from work, he drove over to help me entertain the kids. I had him walk back with me to the park to find the “deed”. It was so funny.

2B2: Good Morning! One more day, huh? Maybe the swoosh fairy will visit us tonight. I think what “s” said was right on. Do the weight when you want to…the last day or the first day of the next month, or if you can’t get to the computer, a week earlier. I will go for the first day of the next month, because I hope beyond hope that the swoosh fairy will visit me during the night. But I would love everyone’s weight in by (I think I said the 3rd), so I can get it posted. I would rather it be on the first, but some people may not be able to get to the computer, so I just wanted to give a few extra days for people to be able to post.

S: Like Lumi, you are such an inspiration on that exercise. Great job! What, you mean I don’t get a financial reward for loosing 5 pounds a month. Nooooooooooo!!!!! I quit then. Just kidding! I guess I’ll have to hit the hubby up. He,he. Let me know how you like the on-line W.W. I was always wondering. Oh, the pants at Lane Bryant are color coded and have numbers from 1- (maybe 4 or 5). I didn’t look at the higher numbers. The lady saw me looking at them, and she came over and measured my waist and told me what size to get. I didn’t like the fit too much, but right now I don’t like the fit of that much. One of the reasons (not the main reason) I want to lose weight….to look better in clothes.

MotherMavis: Thanks for the info about the C25K. I had looked at that recently after someone on the TBL thread talked about it. That is what motivated me to get my kids running. I just thought that running schedule would be too much for my 2 boys. I have them up to 4 mail boxes at a time with rest for 4-5 mail boxes. Maybe one day, I may take a look at it, and do it by myself. After my mother-in-law has this surgery and completes her radiation (which they just decided to do), I may be able to leave the kids with her for me to run alone. Then I can still go with my kids too.

Well, I am so happy this morning. After the worst week since starting, I got on the scale this morning and weighed in at my all time low of 191.5. So lets see what happens tomorrow.

I took my new jogger stroller to the state park and walked for three hours yesterday. When my kids got tired, they were able to ride in the jogger. It holds up to 150 pounds. I got the double, because I didn't want my kids to limit me, and I really want to get out and about and experience nature and get the exercise in. I did take my back carrier for my baby, just in case both boys wanted to rest at the same time. For the first time ever, my girl did not want to sit in the back carrier. She kept standing up (put her feet on the stand of the carrier), and I felt that she was going to fall out. So I was carrying her and pushing the kids at the same time. It really wasn't that hard unless I had to turn. So next time, I will have to bring my carrier where she can sit on my hip.

I was really good with eating yesterday. Even went to McD's and took a bite of daughter's hamburger and two fries, but that was it. I did come home and do another 30 minutes of exercise.

Okay! I would love to be able to loose this 1.5 pounds by tomorrow. I am thrilled though that I am back to 191.5. I am going to give it one last push today. No being bad.

Good luck to everyone and have a great day!

Well I did it I lost my 5 (231) pounds for this month. That is one more pound than last month. Wanted to lose more but I couldn't get myself to stick to tracking. I've finally got back in the habit.

S~ That so sucks sounds like something that would happen to me. Just for that reason I always double bag everything. Dh thinks I'm crazy but it's better safe than sorry. I think that comes with having a child...you have to be ready for the unexpected

Mom2~ I was with ya this month. The scale went up and down for me. I got to move my ticker after I don't know how long. We will both be looking at new digits soon. I can't wait to see numbers that don't include a three However I will welcome a 223

not sure how to explain it, but i weighed in again today, just cause i wanted to see if that .5 on my weigh in yesterday was water weight, and im at 194.5 today... im going to weigh in again tomorrow to make sure its not a fluke... i weighed like 5 times in a row to make sure i was getting an accurate number.. and it kept coming out at 194.5. Im not sure if its safe to be happy about it yet, i dont want to jinx it... i have to say, yesterday when i weighed in i was super sore and tense, so maybe that changed my weight... im not sure, anyone have and speculations as for why i got such extremely different numbers in two days?

**also i was just reading something about with a 36 hour period or so after over doing it the body takes on extra water to flush out the lactic acid that contributes to sore muscles... anyone else hear that before?

Hello, this is my first post here.

I would like to join this challenge when it comes around for March. I am going to be doing South Beach. I got my DH a gym membership in November and he is looking gooooooood... We have a family wedding at the end of August, and I really would like to FINALLY get rid of all this weight I have put on after having four kids. My final goal is 30 pounds, but I would be thrilled to get off just five!!!

I am very short, so 5 pounds makes a huge difference on my frame.

I have a question - where can I go for daily chat/support? I am a SAHM and would really like to have a thread to go to that is pretty active...

Mousai - AWSOME!! You you doing amazing. Don't freek out if it does go up and down. I have had that happen so many times where I gain a couple lbs (probably water) and just freek out and then give up. I would have been at goal a long time ago if I just would have stuck with it.

Fluffy - Welcome. This is a great thread! I can't wait until March. These are great ladies and very supportive. I am a SAHM also (2 kids) and I come here to this thread daily (or almost). I didn't quit get to my 5lb goal this month but I will be happy with 2lbs a month until I am at goal.

Well, I am sticking with an ending weight of 144. I am very happy with that even with the 2 weeks off the wagon (off the wagon? I jumped off that wagon, got caught on the railing and was dragged for 2 weeks) but I still lost 1.5 lbs (or something like that) Well, tomorrow is a new month and I hope to see you all there. (If I can find the new thread)

Oh my - being away for a couple of days and you miss a bunch here. I seem to have relapsed the flu I had back in January and it's snowing something fierce here. I'm so ready for winter to be over.

Hope to be healthy for all of March to make my 5!!

Thanks to everyone for the support. You ladies rock!!

I didn't get to 146 but I did get to 147. I'll take it, a pound lost is better than gained.

Final February 147

March, I want to lose 8 pounds and bust into the 130's.
