Hi!

I'm getting closer! I thought I was stuck at 129.0 lbs. but it was just TOM stuff. Now I'm down to 127.5 lbs.! 2.5 lbs to go before I hit my challenge goal weight!

I got my new game for the Nintendo Wii. It's Wii Sports Resort. I'm having TONS of fun with it! I mean, I spend around an hour on it, maybe every other day (okay, so I've only had it about three days ) I'm going to have to get some people to play with me sometime!

Exercise is going great! I get in an hour to 2 hrs per day, depending on everything. Lately I've been feeling insanely energetic, so I've been dancing like crazy It's fun! But I also do kickboxing and a few other things.

I have a bad sun burn from going to the beach the other day I've heard that vinegar works to soothe it? I've tried aloe and it doesn't seem to help. It's pretty painful, and I look *awful*! Ouchie!

The scale finally moved again!!!! I am so freaking excited All that walking in NYC definitely paid off, I guess. I must say though that I love that NY posts calorie information in all their menus and whatnot because it made picking meals a lot easier!!!

Made my way back to the gym today after an absence of almost two weeks since friends were visiting during that time. I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and was going to head to the treadmill for a bit, but I was actually starting to feel kind of light headed. I decided against the treadmill and went home to get something to eat instead. When I felt a bit better, I went for a walk/jog through my neighborhood instead. It's been so rainy and crappy weather wise here this entire summer, that I wanted to take advantage of the sun that has finally made an appearance. I am way too pasty white

Hi CC Friends!
Popping in for a quick Saturday night hello!

Today is my one-year weight loss anniversary! It's been an amazing year and I'm thrilled to report that I've lost 114 pounds this past year. I decided to start a blog to talk about my journey. Feel free to pop over and check it out...HERE.

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!!! I have to go chase down a certain lil 4 year old who is hiding from me because it's past his bedtime.

Catch ya'll later!

Hi peeps!

Yesterday was the strongman competition/fundraiser, put on by the Crossfit gym I go to. I volunteered to take pics all day, and that was fun, though by the end of the day, my legs were toast from standing and crouching down all day. My boy (12 y.o.) actually went voluntarily (he tries to be "cool" and hate everything I like, lol) and had a good time. They used the pics I took to make framed pictures of the athletes doing their strongman lifts, and gave those out as awards. (they printed out a good pic of each athlete that placed, put it in a nice frame, and had some stick-on brass plates with their placement and the event name/date...they looked awesome!) Any other good pics are just for the gym's website and to post for folks to look at and/or copy for themselves.

Anyway, it was great to watch the competition in person, and it was all for charity and for fun, so it was a great atmosphere. I'm definitely giving it a shot next year, since by then I should have my weight down so I can be in the lightweight women's division, and be strong enough to handle at least some of the lifts.

I stopped on the way home, since the feed store was open when I drove by, and finally picked up some shavings and hay for the chickens. So, cleaning the chicken coop and filling the nest boxes with hay is on the agenda today. I might also run out for some spray paint, so I can paint up the boy's strongman log, and get that project finished. It's all ready to go except for the painting. Other than that, I'm feeling like I need to get myself a little more organized. I've been running a little ragged the last few months, not sticking to my usual plan for keeping up on house and yardwork, plus school time is approaching, so I need to have a plan for our homeschooling year. I think I'll spend some time at my desk today, and just try to focus on getting my act together. This happens to me when I start something new, the rest of my good habits fall apart a little, then I get over the excitement, get a plan in place, and get back on track. My latest new thing is my gym, and that's what sorta knocked me off my supermom wagon this time. I'm ready to get back on track, though, and put it all together into a schedule that works, rather than hitting the gym, and not doing a lot else besides work and damage control, KWIM? Anyway, wish me luck!

Congrats to David and Chele on the weight loss! WOOT!

Hi CC Friends!
I hope everyone had a healthy and fun weekend! We had a low key day around here. It was dark and stormy most of the day so we played inside. I got a little alone time and went to a movie and then to the gym for some cardio. The rain cleared up by dinner time and we grilled steaks and veggies.

Jam - Sounds like a very cool time at the gym! You are going to be kicking strongman butt next year! I totally get what you are talking about with the organization and whatnot...my house is overwhelming me these days.

Chele & David - YAY on the losses!!!! Keep it up!

MrsLovett - You are doing great too! How's the sunburn doing? I've never heard about using vinegar. Did you try it?

Lori - Big size 12?!?!?! Rock on girl! I can't even imagine putting on a pair of 12s! I was thrilled the other night to get a pair of 16s buttoned. Keep up the great work!!!

A BIG HELLO to everyone else!

I'm going to relax a bit.

Barb

Good morning all. I had a bad weekend, got real sick with food poisoning, but I guess I'll survive. I still have some cramping.

Weight loss was just over 2 lbs (not counting getting sick.) I've lost a total of 20 lbs (not all for this challenge...lol.)

Four more weeks till Labor day, and I see it's possible to reach my challenge goal or get pretty close to it.

alright...whatever works..seriously, sorry about the food poisoning...im going to stay away from number goals from now on...if i do what im supposed to do and stay on task, whatever happens happens...que sera sera....i know my body is getting used to my eating regime because its telling ME when to eat and thats a good thing...i feel like for years i commandeered my digestive system and ate whenever i wanted to, now i think i have enough control to only eat when my body sends messages...i also think that this is a big step towards forever weight loss...im pretty sure i wont make my original goal weight for this challenge but thats going to be ok
